Good burger! Food was fresh and great customer service! I love the strawberry shake too, not too sweet!

My husband and I used to visit this location many years ago when we lived in the Mesquite area. Yesterday was the first time we went into the place and enjoyed our meal instead of going through the drive-thru. The restaurant itself was very clean in both the lobby and restrooms (something REALLY important to me). They had a teenage girl going around wiping down tables and restocking all the stuff like napkins, straws, ketchup/mustard/mayo packets, etc. She was very welcoming and greeted every customer when she was near them. We went on a Sunday afternoon during the peak after church lunch gatherings. There were several large groups that were obviously just finished being "churched". ;) The burgers they specialize in are best described as insanely huge. They are okay not really anything to be memorable and worth the drive across large distances to get to. I ordered the regular size cheeseburger combo and added bacon to the burger. It came with fries and a drink. Like most 7 year olds my youngest daughter was pleased with her corndog and some of my fries. My 11 year old got a steak sandwich and enjoyed it. My husband got the #1 Combo - Double Burger that comes with double cheese and he added jalapenos and bacon. The orders of fries that came with the combos were plenty for us to all share even though not all of us got combos. Even the regular sized hamburger/cheeseburgers are not that small they are enough to fill up someone with an average sized appetite. Those like myself who eat smaller portions may consider looking into the kids meals in order to keep from wasting food. They use BLUE BELL Ice Cream in their milkshakes!!! Need I really say more? LOL. They are amazing they only have small and medium milk shakes but for one adult the medium should be enough to enjoy a fix. The customer service was okay. The gentlemen who took our order can be described best by the word gruff. I had a difficult time understanding him and he was a tiny bit short with words during the order taking process. We noticed that there's another one closer to us in Irving and we'll more than likely try that one out the next time we are in the mood for burgers and see how it goes. I will say that we would have no problem meeting family or friends in the Mesquite location of Griffs. read more

This was our second time coming here. The first time was great. This time, not so much. Hamburgers were not fresh, buns were soggy, fries were cold and not cooked all the way. The chili was good and the onion rings were ok. They were super busy and there was only 2 people working the front counter. Where do I start? Worst service ever! Look, I know there is a "pandemic" happening but one ketchup package is all you can give me? Seriously? Pre-made in a cookie package, with one package of salt and one napkin. Man, you guys sure are winners. Only good think about the restaurant was the crush ice in my dr. Pepper. Service is trash, drive-thru worker unprofessional and the manager, don't even get me started. For $7 you get a large made to order cheeseburger with mustard, lettuce and tomato (similar to whataburger) wrapped in paper, side of onion rings and a medium fountain drink. 1 star - Decor 1 star - Ketchup (taste like hunts, I hate hunts ketchup) 4 stars - Burger - Large burger cooked well and very tasty! Reminded me of whataburger (which I love) 4 stars - onion rings- crispy and hot (yum) I will definitely come back when I'm in the area! Whoever they got at the drivethru cant listen for shit. Made me repeat my order 3 times and still got my order wrong.

I've had better Griff's. The chocolate shake is bitter and the burgers are below average. The Griff's on Buckner is way better.

Steak sandwich and burger were both made hours before we even ordered; sammich was way over done & was mostly greasy burned batter. Burger was cold, bun was even colder and very bland. Before our food came out we both said we should have ordered the Steak Fingers. We'll never get a chance to try them now because DQ is just next door and thats where we're going next time. Onion rings were pretty good I guess. I liked the ice in my drink the best. read more

I've been eating at this location for many years I've never had a problem with any of the staff or managers yeah sometimes they don't get the order right when asked not to put tomatoes or pickles hey its a good burger let it ride we all need veggies anyway but Sunday the 9th of February around 1 or so Ms Elizabeth the young female on the drive thru totally got out of hand with a long time paying customer had a smart mouth comments look if you don't like the customer service field or fast food industry leave they have plenty of warehouse jobs if this is what griffs allows to be up front and speaking to customers in such a manner I'm all for any establishment losing business read more

They should definitely work on their customer service skills. First of all being rushed at the speaker. Sometimes we don't know exactly what we want and need a few seconds to read the menu real quick. And once you start ordering she is very rude with the way she continues to ask the questions she needs to ask. I get they gotta try to get this line moving, but damn, calm down for a second and let me think. I don't work here and have the whole menu memorized. read more

So many childhood memories begin or end at Griff's Hamburgers. Even after all these years the great taste of their burgers stands out in the sea of options. I have gradually moved up to their Monster meal "plus hot, plus beacon". This is a meal you work up to fellas, don't just assume it's a clever name. Oh, and waste line be ware. Don't come to Griff's thinking that it's the same place you used to eat burgers as a kid, They are staffed with people who cannot make your order correctly no matter how plainly let you tell them what you want! This is my third trip without getting the correct order and I was not going to eat what they gave me this trip! So now I am back in line and have to go through it all again. Do not waste your time at this business!!! The manager came out of his hole and we're going have at least 6 more weeks of bad service and subpar management! He likely remade my returned cold, clammy burger and just pray he didn't spit on it! They charged me an additional $1 plus to correct it-IMAGINE THAT! CLOSE THIS PLACE DOWN!!! I went for a plain $1.79 hamburger, medium chocolate shake and onion rings. I was given a soda drink and the clerk wasn't excited to correct my order. She said that I couldn't have a shake because she didn't ring it up. Note I hadn't paid yet. They corrected my order and handed me the bag. I was told to park in the shade in space 1. It took a while but a sweet fellow brought my shake and offered to fix the sandwich. I declined because I was starving. I ate half the burger since I don't care for cheese. I was down to my last 3 onion rings and preparing to leave. A dark haired dark eyed woman told me that I couldn't eat my three onion rings and that I had to leave because the space was reserved for people waiting. Interestingly, nobody was in the drive thru and I spent more time in the spot arguing with what has to be a new manager since they have always been nice in the past. So I already liked this location before but now it's really cool. So I'm on my way to visit my mom in a rehabilitation center and not thinking anything serious about my order i decided to order food and a bag of love just because I wanted to make someone laugh and help them with their day. When I got to the window they actually followed through and got me my food and a bag of love filled with candy! Lol Everybody got a kick out of it and I definitely will remember this. I know, I know...this hamburger thing is getting old. Yes, I went to a hamburger joint, don't scoff at me, I'm trying to check everyone out! (smiling nervously) We can do a hamburger every now and then, can't we? LOL Going into an establishment such as this should be very simple, a toddler can order as long as he or she knows their numbers... As I walked into this place on one Sunday early evening, I was ready to order, I looked up and down, left to right...everything looked relatively clean. The floors could have been swept a bit, but, that comes with the territory on a busy day or night! I got in line to order, the people (behind the counter) are friendly enough, accurate and pros at taking orders which are complex. (smiling) As I looked around for a place to sit while waiting for my number/order to be called, I realized I was become uncomfortable in my surroundings. The people who frequent this place vary from families with children to truck drivers...This means, I should have felt completely comfy. not the case, however! The truck drivers were as sweet as apple pie (they minded their own business) and the familes with kids made me nervous, very nervous! Maybe they didn't like the color top I was wearing...Maybe is was my hair style...I don't know...I felt the undertones of a territorial kind of issue... After I scanned the area, I realized I didn't mind letting my food get cold. I didn't mind carrying a styrofoam cup home between my thighs as I drove home. I would drive back home and eat...so, I politely asked them to make my order "to-go" instead. Happily, they bagged my meal and I got out as fast as I could...hoping not to be "handled" as I got to my car. Okay, so, I maybe exaggerating a bit, (smirk) but really, the overall atmoshere made the think of what it might be like to be in a holding tank waiting to be booked...get my point? I've been in all sorts of eateries, this was the least appetizing when it came to the customer clientele...I would safely say the drive-thru is a good option and bring your friends. Maybe on a different day of the week or a different hour; I don't know, but I'm not going to go back inside to find out. I hope I haven't offended anyone. In town on business and my client recommended this place as opposed to the many chains (e.g. Taco Bell, Whataburger) in the area. I decided to keep it simple and just try their double cheeseburger and a water. The fact that I didn't order a combo caught the cashier off guard and it took him a moment to process. Love this place!!!! It gets 4 stars because the food is AMAZING but the inside is run down and sometimes gross. If I was just judging on the food from the drive thru it would get 5 stars for sure. My friend introduced me to this place... He had eaten there with his fam for over 30 years. So glad he introduced me to it, except now I'm beyond addicted. Oh and I love the little logo too! So cute.
