Went to GrillSmith for the first time on Veteran's Day. I was amazed by it. Most places are a simple sandwich or burger or dessert. Theirs were full menu and what a menu! Because of the crowds, they suggested we come around 7:30 PM or later. We arrived about 7:45 and only had about a 10-minute wait. They were very considerate and thoughtful to offer a dinner on Veteran's Day for those that have protected our country, often with their lives. I served 24 years with the Navy & Marine Corps and was proud of my service, including a tour in Vietnam. Thank you for all of our Veterans. And thanks for the Fallen Soldier table tribute. My wife ordered the Filet, Medium, with Green Beans and Mashed Potatoes. I chose the Filet, Medium Rare, with Green Beans and Mac & Cheese. After a short wait our food came. Our steaks were perfectly done and absolutely melt in the mouth tenderness. Sides were also delicious. A wonder meal and experience. Visited Grillsmith for happy hour and let me tell you this happy hour is Amazing! It also goes pretty late (til 7pm and all night Wednesday) so it's a great deal that's not gonna break the bank! Service was quick and good came out super fast also which I enjoyed! I loved the Thai shrimp and the eggrolls featured on the happy hour menu. It's a lite portion so if you are hungry def order more than 1 appetizer. The sangria was $7 and they filled the glass! I was so happy I was able to try the featured soup on the fall menu - Autumn Squash and Sausage! This soup was creamy and perfect for fall! I wish they weren't taking it off the menu so soon because this is one of my favorite fall soups I've tried! We were celebrating a belated Valentine's Day dinner and chose Grillsmith since it was dog friendly on their outdoor dining area. Since it was Monday all three of us decided to order from the Mondays @ The Smith menu which included a starter, entree and dessert for each of us. It was hard to decide what to order since everything sounded delicious. For drinks we got a beer, Smith's Sangria and Strawberry Hibiscus Margarita. For starters we got the MONDAY PUB PRETZEL, MONDAY FILET TIP EGG ROLL and The Soup of the Day which was Baked Potato. The entrees we ordered were Center Cut Sirloin with Au Gratin potatoes and mixed vegetables, Chicken Milanese with Au Gratin potatoes, and Cajun Shrimp & Chicken Pasta. We also asked for a breadstick basket. For dessert we chose two CHOCOLATE DECADENCE Cakes and one KEY LIME PIE. Everything was delicious. I really loved the Chicken Milanese as it is so delicious, unique and full of flavor. The Potatoes Au Gratin are the best I have ever had. The Chicken Milanese is a large portion so I asked for a doggy bag. Speaking of Doggy bags...they do have a Doggy Menu too. Grilled Chicken and Rice, Diced Salmon and Rice, and Chopped Hamburger and Rice are the Doggy Menu Choices. Our Doggy had already eaten so we will have to plan to order her something when we come back next time. We went with a group of 6 on a Tuesday night. We all had something different and even asked for a couple of substitutions. Everything came out hot and as ordered, and at the same time. The food was delicious, and nicely presented. This is a reliable and fairly priced restaurant. The happy hour is good. Half price bottles in wine on Tuesday. I've been for lunch and dinner and it does not disappoint. It does get noisy at peak times, especially in the back room where the kitchen is located. Came here for book club. Great space! Service was awesome. We came for the brunch options. I ordered the Biscuits and Gravy. It comes with a buttermilk biscuit topped with sausage gravy. It comes with Parmesan herb tater tots, and a brunch side. The options for a brunch side were smoked Gouda grits, breakfast sausage, applewood smoked bacon, and Parmesan herb tater tots. I picked the applewood smoked bacon. Everything was delicious, hot, and fresh. I do wish they had a better variety of brunch sides especially since mine already came with the tater tots and the sausage gravy. Fruit would be an excellent option. Suggestion for the future. Also, the day we went the fountain machine was down. Getting a fountain drink was unfortunately not an option. read more

Absolutely the most hospitable place I've ever been to. From the moment we were seated, the experience stood out. The host greeted us with a "happy anniversary," and there was even a handwritten card on the table signed by the staff--an incredibly thoughtful touch. The food came out quickly and was perfectly prepared. My wife and I mentioned we would split a single entrée, and without us asking, they plated it separately before it even reached the table. Dessert was just as impressive--delicious and beautifully done. What truly set this place apart, though, was the way the staff and management interacted with the guests around us, especially a couple of elderly couples nearby. Had an absolutely delicious meal-- the salmon bruschetta is to die for. Probably the best bruschetta I've ever had. The steaks we ordered were cooked perfectly. The augratin potatoes are 100% worth upgrading to a premium side. The pineapple upside down cake we ordered to complete the meal had these insane candied peanuts that tasted like popcorn. Been here a couple of times ... came here for lunch today and it was outstanding. Took my 90 year old uncle out for lunch ... he's very particular. He wanted light dressing so they ask 'want it on the side' , he said no, I like it tossed but just light dressing. Then he asked if they would chop the salad 'but not too much just lightly chopped'.... And also that the salmon not be over cooked. Our server was patient and friendly with the requests and it also came out perfect. I had the chicken Milanese and loved it. Someone else had the potato soup and loved it. This is the second time we have been to this restaurant. First time was over 6 years ago and didn't like it but heard it on the radio and thought we would give it a second chance. Restaurant was ok. Dining room was clean. We sat outside not to deal with the 30 minute wait. We got a few apps that were good (not great but not bad) filet and blue cheese egg rolls, shrimp and crab cake (these were excellent) and chicken croquettes. Like I said apps were good. Entrees that may be another story. My wife got their special lamb chops and they couldn't be cooked right. First ordered them med rare, they came out med well. Asked for mash and they were out of them at 730 at night. When the first lamb came out they magically had mashed potatoes and the server didn't even notice that the side was different. Sent the lamb back and the next one came out RAW. it's like the grill cook was mad and just put marks on the chops. I got the cocoa cola ribs and they were decent. Tasted like they reduced some soda and added it to kc master piece bbq sauce. Got a side of jalapeño Mac n cheese. It had seasoning but I could tell they didn't cook out their roux could still taste the raw flour and they used a pre shredded cheese that I could feel the grittiness. After the second lamb came back raw we were basically done. They comped the lamb but still had to go somewhere else for the wife so the night was ruined. Might go back for lunch and get a salad or a burger but what's the point of going to a grill restaurant for a salad. read more

We had issues the last time we were there and I did provide feedback. However, this time it was fabulous. We had the crab cake appetizer and it was very very delicious. The Mediterranean Salmon was perfect. Everything was nice and hot when it got to the table including the artichokes and shrimp. This is a really pretty nice restaurant with a lot of business people having lunch there. It might be because the prices are fairly hefty, but the quality of the food is good. The seafood items were particularly delicious. There was a tendency for the server to keep on asking if we wanted more food and drinks when we were already quite full.
