Love this place. Went for a late dinner and was told that the wait time was an hour. Left to go to the takeout window and was told it would be a 45 minute wait. Decided to go back inside and place our name on the wait list at that point my daughter was told it would be a 30 minute wait yet we only waited about 5 minutes to be seated. Pizza was delicious, however I asked the waiter for Parmesan cheese twice and still never received any. Had to ask about the Oreo cheesecake twice and by the time my daughters pizza came out we were almost done eating our pizza. Our waiter never came back to give us refills on our drinks nor to ask if everything was okay. The service at this location was simply horrible compared to the other locations that I have visited. They do not care if you are seated comfortably. They try to squeeze as many people into a table as possible. When you ask for a bigger seating they said, this is all we offer since you don't have a larger party. They expect you to put your handbags and coats on the floor or on you. The whole time while there, the person behind me keep hitting her chair against mine since there was no move between ours seats. It was not pleasant. read more

After eating at the Grimaldi's under the Brooklyn Bridge years ago; We were apprehensive to eat at this one in Allen, Tx....Not too worry...waiting time around 1pm on a weekday was only about 10 minutes. Service by Isabel was excellent. From the "Cherry Pie" pinot noir to "Stella!!! beers to the most excellent caesar salad was spot on. What exceeded our expectations was the White Garlic pizza (added for good measure was sun dried tomatoes, artichoke hearts, mushrooms and kalamata olives). This pizza was bursting with delicious Italian cheeses, fresh roasted ingredients and a moist thin crust. This pizza literally blew a New Yorker's mind. My Mama woulda been proud..:). Service was poor. Waiter took our order and never returned. Our first pizza took 30 minutes and it was flat and over cooked. They took it back and it took another 30 minutes to get another pizza. The second pizza tasted good but the presentation was a disaster. It was a pepperoni pizza and two pieces had zero pepperoni. Waiter never returned to refill our water. Never asked if we would like another drink. All of this is a reflection of poor management!! The owners of this franchise need to make some effort to make this facility what it used to be. We had a pretty bad experience at one of our favorite pizza places in Allen. We had to wait close to an hour to get our pizza order, even after we made it clear that our 6yr old was hungry when we ordered. The ceiling fan made it very cold for guests sitting inside the restaurant, I have seen many customers complain about it including us but they never did anything to address it. I am being generous with 2 stars. Below average in most areas, and poor value overall. Where do I begin. Bar is disorganized and dirty. Beware of servers using dry rags to clean instead of proper bleach towel. Bonus - enjoyed a dirty bar towel in front of us entire time. Also, beer selection is outdated and bartenders spend most of time dealing with take out orders. Main tables weren't any better - had dirty tablecloth. A prominent red sauce stains were part of the red checked tablecloth. Salad - large size for sharing, but avoid kale - it was dry and definitely belonged as garnish and never should be used as a salad. (Vs chik-fil-a kale which is very good) Pizza - we ordered smaller sizes as other yelpers warned us large sizes are soggy in middle. It tasted ok. Value - ugh - overpriced vs other pizza-oriented restaurants. We like shops at allen but honestly none of the restaurants are worth going. read more

Very simple pizzas, that become quite expensive after you add the toppings. Also it's super thin and could use more seasoning. I ordered a take out twice and both times my order was delayed (extra 20min wait), which combined with the awful parking situation is just not worth it to me anymore. One very basic 18" pizza (that was actually around 16") cost me over $30 out of the door. read more

We had a reservation for 12 people. They said it would be 2 hours. After less than an hour we thought to check in. The red headed girl who couldn't spell my four letter extremely common name told me that they texted me at 7:08pm and they have a 10 minute window. I showed her the time, it was 7:17pm. She then proceeds to tell me she doesn't know how to add me back in the front of the line and tells me it will be one more hour. No one will wait two hours for average pizza. Can't wait for management to tell me their sob story. Screenshot attached as proof. Update:. The manager that replied below did not acknowledge they made a mistake and did not say what they were going to do to fix it so it won't happen again. Nor did he offer any incentives to revisit their "non-average" establishment. However, they want me to come in and spend my hard earned money without any assurances of improvement. Anyone can take the reservation. The most important part of the reservation is holding the reservation. If you can't do that you're not above average. It doesn't matter what your food tastes like. read more

We went there Sunday Feb 25th at lunch. Tables open galore and had to wait 15 min. Okay. It's fine we love it here so we will wait. In no time after we were seated it got crazy busy. Our poor waiter was so busy. He totally forgot us. We never got refills, I had to get my own to go box and went to find a manager to pay, he was horrible. Manager didn't want to help me or the waiter! He as so rude and very unhelpful. Manager was super lazy. His waitstaff was struggling and he just didn't care. Third time here: FOOD: This is some of the best pizza out there. I had the Margherita pizza and my friend had the pepperoni. The crust is thin, slightly smoky and crisp. The sauce is sweet, tangy and fresh; however, the mozzarella is the Star here. Unlike chains or mom & pop places, they don't believe good pizza has to be covered in cheese. Each bite let's each ingredient stand on their own. ATMOSPHERE: Great location, the atmosphere is both family friendly and romantic at the same time. SERVICE: This is where we get the slight dip. The restaurant was really not busy, yet it took a while to get seated and I didn't care to be sitting by the restroom, so asked to be seated elsewhere. The hostess seemed flustered by our request. Next, the waitress was very sweet, but again, seemed a bit inexperienced. We got our ticket, never asked if we wanted it split. If I could give less than 1 star, I would! My husband and I went to Grimaldi's in Watter's Creek yesterday afternoon on 12/20/22. It was around the 4:00/5:00 hour. Grimaldi's has never failed us until 12/20. Our frequent dining place was the Grimaldi's in The Shops of Park Lane off 75 by Northpark Mall. We have also been to the location at the Toyota Music Factory. Both places excellent in customer service and food. We always order "The Don-18 inch" and it's always come out hot with just the right amount of melted cheese. Yesterday (12/20/22), we received "The Don" that was room temperature (and getting increasingly colder as we ate). Not sure if they were light on the cheese or if there was any cheese at all on the pizza because my husband asked me, "Does this have cheese. All of the toppings are falling off." This was not worth $30. We noticed other tables around us who ordered the same and their pizzas came out piping hot with gooey cheese just the way we were used to. Our waitress came by to ask the customary, "How is everything?" We told her that the pizza was cold/room temp. and she said she would see if she could get us a discount on it. After a couple of minutes, she returned to say that her manager would only allow a comp of $4.35. This was the price of the 1 glass of beer that I had. Our final bill was a little over $35 for complete BS. Clearly it was somebody's negligence: Either the pizza was sitting out too long or the waitress took too long in picking it up. Regardless, we [the customer] were the ones paying for it in more ways than one. At any rate, we returned the favor and gave our waitress that $4.35 comp from our bill back in a tip...and that was too much. I believe, we may have left $5 only because I didn't have any change. I absolutely hate the Allen Grimaldi's! I don't like the lack of diversity of the patrons in the establishment. I didn't like the service and I most definitely didn't like the food. I hate paying for expensive junk, and that's what we got. read more

Overheard some New Yorkers talking about this place on Saturday morning. They said the original is under the Brooklyn Bridge and that this is part of the family. The wife and I decided to give it a try. The decor did remind us of New York except a LOT cleaner. We had a Caesar side salad (which was huge and delicious). This is for the location in Watters Creek off of I-75. Our margherita pizza was presented to us with burned/charred basil. In my experience, you either put the basil on right before the pizza comes out of the oven (for about a minute) or after it comes out (so it heats up and wilts a bit). Why would you put it on BEFORE the pizza gets cooked? What's the point of using fresh basil if it's going to get burnt to a crisp? It's pretty hard to ruin a pizza, but they did it! read more

I was on a date that went sideways and left a bar nearby in a hurry. i was walking trying to find something open nearby I could catch my breath and call and an Uber. I was having a panic attack to be honest. I saw Grimaldis was open and went inside. I've also never been here before. the service I was given isn't something you can just get at a restaurant. huge shout out to the people who work there Lyla, Tyler, Darren, and Andrew. I was grateful they were so kind. I was in a moment of panic and distress they really were a saving grace. huge thank you to all of them for giving me a sense of security & safety in a moment where I felt terrified. y'all have limoncello which made me very happy! great experience! will be back based on this. I'm happy there's places like this where employees are so kind to people regardless of it being something crazy like what I experienced tonight. read more

I have been here twice now. Once not crowded at all and once very busy. The service was incredibly slow both times. Drinks not refilled without asking. The pizza is good but not good enough for the long wait each time. If you ask for ranch dressing as a side for dipping they will charge you $1 each (without letting you know up front) and it tastes like Hidden Valley Ranch from the grocery store.
