This sour dough bread is too die for! I'm obsessed with this place! Pastrami is my favorite! My husband and I both love this place so much!

Walking in was a warm and cozy atmosphere. We waited several minutes for someone to come out and take our orders. Several of us ordered the meal but did not receive the chips and did not think to ask for them. The tables are wiped regularly and there was a high volume of both people eating in and taking out. My goto is their turkey bacon club. For some reason, I crave this sandwich like no other during my pregnancies. I drive south on 75 for 25 miles to eat at this location. I am furious with this establishment especially after tonight and will not be returning because of my experience with the staff. The staff member was a Caucasian lady with shoulder length blonde hair tied back into a ponytail who was cashiering at the front counter around 9:00pm tonight on a Saturday. Tonight she was incredibly nasty and this was by far one of the most disgusting acts of customer service from this employee that I've ever encountered. I honestly don't know where to begin. First, we placed an order for a chicken avocado pizza ( and that came back wrong). She gave us a flatbread, but still charged us for the 10in pizza as it clearly showed on the receipt. Next, also included in that same order was a French dip sandwich I'd saw online and decided to order to try for the first time. When the sandwich arrived the bun was not the same one featured online so we were confused as to why and went back in to see the same cashier about the issue because I couldn't have sesame seeds as this bun had sesame unlike the one featured online which had no sesame seeds. The employee said that that was their regular bread. And, when we asked if there were any other options w/o sesame seeds as I can't have sesame seeds she said they had pretzel and we asked could she remake it on that instead. She said yes, but since the sandwich was technically made right we would have to pay for a whole additional sandwich or she give us a cold, unheated bun as the second option. Mind you no other bun options were mentioned at the time the order was placed either. So, how would we have known. When we asked why she couldn't just remake the sandwich again at no cost considering we already paid and we just wanted it on a pretzel bun fully heated up, as opposed to us having to consume cold food? She proceeded to give off attitude and said nothing could be done. This was highly upsetting as we had to stand there and explain to her countless times that I could not consume sesame seeds and if I would have known they came on the sandwich I wouldn't have ever ordered it to begin with just to get her to finally remake the sandwich. Because, in retrospect, this situation should've been an easy fix on her part, but this employee felt the need to instead make it her mission to make it very much an unpleasant experience all around for us. We shouldn't have had to stand there going back and forth with her for almost half an hour about something she could fix in 2 minutes. THIS KIND OF SERVICE IS NOT APPRECIATED AND DOES NOT DESERVE MY MONEY. WE WILL NEVER BE BACK TO THIS LOCATION EVER AGAIN. THIS IS NOT SOMETHING THAT SHOULD BE TAKEN LIGHTLY BY ANY MEANS. THE STAFF HERE HAS ZERO TRAINING ON ALLERGENS AND ARE UNWILLING TO MATURELY ACCOMMODATE CUSTOMERS WITH SERIOUS ALLERGIES. DO NOT COME HERE! THE STAFF WAS RUDE AND UNACCOMMODATING. Been to this location a good handful of times or so. Been inside once, dining room was clean. Been through drive thru 4 or 5 times. Its always quick. The lane to the drive-up window is tricky so you really need to pay attention. There is a median/curb in the way that I'm sure many cars alignment has been disrupted. The food has always been fresh. I love the original, love the angus beef and tried today the new French dip. Its a large prezel bun with thin shaped roast beef that was super flavorful and tender. It's hard, on a long road trip, to find something for the kids to eat in the car that is at least somewhat less of a disaster maker! We stopped here because our kids love the cheese pizza. It is made on more of a bread then a true crust... spongy... less crumbs. Plus they fit right in their laps in the boxes so as to contain most of the mess. They like them (I think they taste like the sponge they are, but I'm not eating them) and they work to contain the disaster that can be my boys eating in the car. Went here for a quick lunch before going back to work. Close to where I work, so I'm about the convenience factor. I've been to a Schlotzsky's before, but I think I always end up ordering the wrong thing. I hadn't been to this McKinney location, and I haven't been to a Schlotzsky's in years... So decided to go in and look at the menu. Ended up getting the Pick 2. Had half of the Bacon Grilled Cheese sandwich and half of a Southwestern Chicken Salad. I am so glad this is what I chose. The bacon on the sandwich was crispy like I like it. It came on a pretzel bun which is great. The salad was huge. I could have split it, and that would have been fine. I had ranch dressing. Something spicier would have been nice, but they didn't offer anything. I added some Louisiana Hot Sauce to my ranch, and it added the kick I needed. Very much enjoyed my experience here. Stopped in here for lunch today, when I needed a turkey sandwich. I used to come to Schlotzsky's all the time in high school because there was one nearby, but I've probably only been twice in the last 10 years. Not sure why, I just never think of it even though I drive by this location daily. Anyway, we got the "pick 2" with two half salads and two half sandwiches. My first issue was that the menu is up on big TVs on the wall but there are no descriptions until you get to the register where they have a paper menu on a stand. Perhaps there were paper menus somewhere I missed, but having descriptions on the large menu doesn't seem that difficult. I got the turkey cobb (with no goat cheese, ick) and the smoked turkey sandwich. The cashier was a nice, young red-headed girl and she was very friendly and on it, even coming to check on us later. The total for two "pick 2" and two drinks was $22. My first thought was, "How did I eat here in high school?" and my second was "Those better be excellent salads." Well, we don't know about whatever deals they had back the day, but I can say they were excellent salads and sandwiches. TONS of food. I even took some salad home. Everything was fresh and delicious. My only complaint was the amount of mayonnaise on the sandwich. I thought "lite" was referring to calories, not the quantity of the mayo but, that was an easy fix. Don't spend $3 on a drink here. You'll either get an entire 32oz cup of ice or a soda they couldn't even bother to fill up. Every SINGLE time I go I have an issue with the drinks. Happy to have Schlotzsky's in Princeton, but the employees need a lot more training. Getting our sandwiches took a while, much longer than normal and it was not made correctly. I ordered the Deluxe Original, which means "more meat" than the Original. The Deluxe Original was made like the Original. Wasn't going to urge with the girl that delivered our food to our table. Delivery our food was like an inconvenience to her because it took her away from following some young man, as well as an employee himself. Very obvious her attention was on this guy than her work, by the way she followed very closely to the young man. Other young girl working the register, she was very busy & distracted by her cell phone. She was on it when we walked in and after us ordering she back on her cell until we left. Don't know who the manager is at this restaurant, but he or she need to be more in tune with their employees and customers. I know it's a new restaurant in town and needs some tweaking and more training, so with that being said, we will give it another chance. If next time isn't good, I don't mind driving up the road to McKinney to that Schlotzsky's. read more
