ZERO OR NO STAR. Sunday night. Not that busy. We get seated for table of 4 right away. After sitting for 20 minutes with menus in hand and NEVER being acknowledged nor water or drink orders taken, I went up to hostess to ask who our server is as we had been completely ignored. She points out our server. OMG. He had walked by our table dozen or more times. We waited for another 2 minutes and when he didn't immediately come after the hostess yelled out to him, we got up and left. Good luck. I'll give them less than one year before they close. My first Grimaldi's experience ever, overall good! The restaurant recently opened, I think they are still trying to figure things out a little. We sat down and weren't greeted for about 10 minutes, the waitress finally came over and apologized for not acknowledging us, she didn't know we were part of her area. We ordered a bruschetta, the margarita pizza, and the white pizza with garlic. The bruschetta was pretty good, we enjoyed it. The margarita pizza wasn't my favorite but it was good. The white garlic pizza was amazing! Unfortunately when they brought it out it was burnt on the bottom so we nicely asked them to remake it and they did, the new one they brought out was perfect... this pizza was my absolute favorite and something I'd come back for! read more

I love Grimaldis but I will not be returning to the Legacy location. I have visited this location 3 times and the service is just not good. On our first visit here, we received possibly the worst martini I have ever tasted. The second time I visited this location they forgot the salad that I had ordered so I just cancelled it. This time we waited at our table for 15 minutes and finally had to ask someone to take our order. Drinks came at the same time as the pizza, not before. When the pizza was delivered, I mentioned that we still had not received the salad. The server asked what salad we ordered and then went to the kitchen and brought out our salad. So the pizza sat getting cold while we ate the salad. During our visit we had to yell across our "two top" table to hear each other because of the noise level. Lastly, we had to, once again, ask for service to bring the check. read more

We were seated next to where they make the pizza. I witnessed the 2 employee's making pizza and almost got sick. The first took his phone out with his gloves on and put it back in his pocket and didn't change gloves. Then he washed both windows that separate the guests with a rag and immediately used the same dirty gloved hands to grab pizza toppings and spread them out over the pizza being made. The other was wearing jewelry-a ring and a bracelet that the tossed pizza dough was all over. The bracelet was covered with flour from the tossing. The manager addressed my concerns. Poor service , more than a 30 minute wait after being seated, pizza was 1/2 burned and mediocre. No FOH manager monitoring workflow. To go orders seemed to take priority over dining in. Fewer than 8 tables occupied in the dining room and fewer than 5 on the patio. Staff has to use the entry door to access the patio, very poor design. Will not be going back. I have ordered pizza from here 5 times for pickup and in every instance they have not even started to make it until I arrived 20+ minutes after ordering. They weren't busy. The pizza is good but the service is garbage. I left here and there are 8 people working with no one is in the restaurant. I've eaten at their location in NYC, Allen, and their Ghost kitchen location (which no longer exists). Last time I order from here. Order elsewhere unless you have nothing but time on your hands or are bored to death and just want to hang out somewhere. Clearly they like anything except making pizza. Terrible experience. Keep in mind this place was "dead", as in no one there on a Friday night, maybe 20% full. Party of 11, seated right away Waiter (Josh) was great, except it was his first full day waiting on tables. Tried his best, but with a large party he should have had help. Took over 35+ minutes to get drinks. As we watch the bartender have no clue what she is doing while the other bartender was on her phone. Another 45 minutes to an hour the food arrives, but not all at once, it was in 5 minutes intervals. Ask for checks to cash out and wait another 30-35 minutes to get the checks. During the whole time our waiter is no where to be found. There are 4 hostesses on their phones and jacking around at the front. Lots of waitstaff standing around doing nothing. We finally go find a manager to "help" our waiter who was overwhelmed. Check finally come out again 80% correct and we pay to leave. Total time onsite was 2.5 hours with no wiat to get a table. The manger was completely unprofessional and never spoke to us. Management needs to be aware that over half his staff on duty was doing nothing but getting paid. I cant imagine this place stays open much longer. Very unprofessional from just about everyone except our waiter who was trying. read more

This is a great pizza spot in Plano. Adam and his staff served me above and beyond. Kaci and Josh are great bartenders. The espresso martini was on the spot and my favorite drink. You have to order this since they make it well.My server Ryan was very deligent and attentive when it came to my order and service. Definitely will bring my family and friends here. I've been coming to this restaurant chain for years with my family. When this location opened up closer to home I was very excited but, after giving it multiple opportunities, I think we may just have to find another place to go. The hosts were kind and helpful when they greeted us but we sat and waited for our server for over ten minutes. The hosts were on their phones, laughing loudly, and running around. Our server, Jayden, was very rude and extremely disrespectful. He was terrible at making sure our drinks were full and like I mentioned before he left us sitting there for over TEN MINUTES! The pizza was over cooked in some spots and undercooked in others. Everyone who worked in the kitchen looked like a teenager and they were discussing the most revolting things. One guy was talking very loudly about his experience with a particular drug. My kids were right there! The manager was a very tall angry looking man with his HAIR DOWN! He was even making pizzas at some points with his hair down. You could also find him at the host stand on his phone or chatting with the hosts and servers. This entire restaurant is very unprofessional and should be closed immediately. Or at the VERY least hire some new employees and replace that manager! read more

I went to this Grimaldis with a group of 24 friends. Their service was impeccable and they were even thoughtful in providing us with separate checks. I had the lunch special with a large slice which was delicious and I also got a Ceasar salad which was great. Excellent service and excellent food! Great place to try. read more

We there on a Saturday evening for pickup about 40 minutes before close. Ordered a simple pie with pepperoni and mushrooms. The toppings were ok but the crust was charred beyond edible so we had to pull the crust apart to eat. This location had a three star review, so I was already skeptical. I have to agree. Fantastic! First time going. Went down during my lunch break, immediately got assistance for a togo order. Gabriella took my order, super sweet and patient. I have been going go to the Allen location for years, it's an additional 15 minutes from our house so decided to try this location a couple months back. Hour and half for pizza with little to no one in the restaurant. The "to go" orders supersede dine in orders. Came back last night thinking it was just a fluke. Nope, same situation, including cold pizza sauce for calzone, then heated up the calzone then dropped it then remade it. Hour and a half later... you guessed it. Such a shame that the poor, next to nothing service ruins this place! The pizza is good, but the staff is going to be reason this place wont last long. Word travels fast in Plano and there are too many other great places to eat in Plano. If you don't mind: 1) servers/staff ignoring you throughout the total dining experience 2) waiting way way too long for your meal to be served, it's Pizza, not a gourmet meal 3) watching staff ignore you while they sit on the counters and chat amongst each other 4) and looking at dirty tables all around you since the staff does not like to cleanup Then you will love it. read more

Avoid this location if you want to eat. We arrived at 6:00 pm and were surprised that there was no wait for tables. We placed our order for pizza -16" white pizza with pepperoni and bacon. After about 20 minutes our server came over and said they forgot to fire it up. Said it would be about 15 minutes. About 20 minutes later, he came and said they burnt the pizza and would have to remake it. I had never been to a Grimaldi's Pizzeria. The entire staff especially Rosie were really nice. I also met the manager Sean who is fantastic he wanted to make sure my pizza was the way I wanted it since it was my first time. I realized the first one i ordered I did not know if I wanted more sausage or muchrooms then pepperoni I needed to add it from the sides. They do a great job of customer service, friendly and helpful and I will be back it is a family and I sat at the bar. Very clean and security it top notch. Great friendly neighborhood place in shops at legacy. The pizza was so delicious as was their beer on tap. read more

My family ordered take home on 8/30/24. This has to be the worst pizza we've ever had. We ordered two large. They were so soggy from too much tomato sauce, and looked like they just poured pickled jalapeños with the juice on top. And the pepperoni was not distributed through the pizza. There were 3 or 4 slices stuck together all over, They barely cooked the pizzas. I called to complain not wanting my money back, but Just to let them know. The girl that answered my call was very nice and seemed to care. She would pass my message to manager, but never heard back. We'll never eat or order from this place again. I give this place 1 star. Horrible experience. My party and I went to Grimaldis for dinner on a Saturday night. The restaurant was mostly empty inside but there were at least 10 people working. After being seated and told we'd be helped shortly, we proceeded to be ignored for 25 minutes. The staff actively ignored us and didn't even look at our table. We were not offered waters, our order was not taken, and no one even asked if we'd been helped. This was ridiculous. There were maybe five tables of people in the restaurant, so the problem wasn't that it was busy. The staff just sat around the restaurant talking and laughing to themselves, completely ignoring my table, and from the looks of it, the other tables as well. So, after sitting for 25 minutes, my party and I got up and walked out of the restaurant. Even as we're leaving, none of the staff says anything. Overall terrible experience at Grimaldi's. Save your time and money eating elsewhere. There are plenty of other pizza restaurants in the area who'd actually value you as a customer. read more

Nice looking place. Have eaten at the original location in Brooklyn and enjoyed the Hoboken location. That said, this place failed. And I never would have been served that pie at those location. Ingredients looked solid but the pie was completely burned. Black. Clearly no one bothered to check before delivering it to me. After 30 minutes. If it were not burnt to a crisp, it might have been good. But I will never know. But never returning. read more
