All the vegetables were crisp and clearly fresh. I would have preferred the bottom crust to be a bit crispier and the dough slightly chewier, but overall it was very solid. Fettuccine Alfredo - 6/10 It tasted like the salt might have been forgotten. That said, the texture was fine and it was still enjoyable. Salad - 10/10 Please sell the house dressing. It was one of the best salad dressings I've had. I usually check the cut edges of the greens to see if they've turned reddish (which suggests they're old), and there was none of that. They are easy, affordable, in the neighborhood & provide good service with good food. This is a nice alternative when an easy meal is wanted. Went here with a church group of about 20 people. Food looked mediocre, one selection on the soda machine was not working Hi C Punch. Me and another person ordered the Chicken parmesan sandwich which looked and smelled pretty good, however the chicken was rubbery totally had no taste. I asked the other person that ordered it how they felt about the sandwich? They said that it wasn't that good. I pulled all of the meat out of my sandwich and tried to just eat the bread cheese and sauce, to no avail. I told the manager that, this sandwich was probably one of the worse sandwiches I've eaten in along time, handed him my plate which I pulled all of the Chicken out of, he took the plate and chatted with some of the cooks and that was it. No apologies, it was no big deal to them, a perfectly worthless meal that cost me $15 bucks. You want a good meal? Stay away from this place! Oh! Almost forgot, another person in the group over heard my complaints and said, that she once came here and ordered a ham and cheese sandwich, she said the meat tasted funny, and that this was the first time in along time that she visited this place! I admit it, I am a pizza snob. Heck I'm from New Jersey, it's in our blood. And when you have some of the best pizza in the New Jersey/ New York area, yeah I can be snobby. When I moved to Texas 11 years ago I was informed of Joe's Pizza and this specific location. Yes there are several Joe's around the DFW area but I go to this one in peticular. When I moved here, there was a man who worked at this Joe's who did his pizza training with relatives at the very pizza place I grew up eating at in Metuchen, NJ. So there was a connection. They make a pretty good New Jersey pizza and a fresh garlic pie, well done, is the way you start. They make a great salad and the tomato vinagrette house dressing is really tasty. They have some great entrees and subs, so don't pass on the chicken parm sub and most of the pastas are great as well. They make a decent cannolli too. On weekends they do have waiter service, unless that has changed. But do stop in there. Enjoy. read more

Last night, Initially, I went to Maggiano's with my husband, because we were in the mood for it. When I got there, the wait was 1 hour and 20 minutes, so we decided to go back to Whiskey Cake, but on the way there, we saw this place. We just wanted to look at the menu, but we saw there were so many customers inside eating, so we decided to eat there. They have an extensive menu(the only thing I don't care about is they serve veal)consists of variety of items. They serve NY style pizza which I like(Lived/worked in NYC several years). My husband ordered garlic cheese bread(very cheesy and tasty), 20" "the works" or special and he said it was very good. I ordered the seafood pasta and it was phenomenal. Our waitress(well, she was the only waitress)was very friendly and attentive. We had some dessert to go(cheese cake and Tiramisu)and I had the left over pizza and Tiramisu this afternoon and they were delicious! We're very glad we drove by Joe's pizza, pasta and sub last night. We realized that there are so many great eateries in West Plano that we haven't discovered that we need to try. Tried it once, and that was enough. I've broken the review into two parts, the service and the food. THE SERVICE I read the good reviews here and decided to take a chance on delivery. Boy was that a mistake. We ordered our pizza and cheese bread from their website menu. We were told that delivery was 45 minutes, and about 55 minutes later the delivery guy showed (not too bad). Here is the exchange between the delivery guy and I: DG: Here's your pizza, but I left the cheese fries in the car. Me: Cheese fries? I didn't order cheese fries. Do you mean cheese bread? DG: No. You have cheese fries. See it shows right here. (He points to the order slip as proof of what I ordered.) Me: I didn't write that. DG: I can take them back. Me: I guess I'll take the cheese fries, not sure what else I can do. (I have hungry people here, fries is better than waiting 45 more minutes for cheese bread.) The delivery guy goes and get the cheese fries and brings them back. So I bring the food in and notice that the cheese fries are possibly the smallest portion of cheese fries I've ever seen. I chuckle and say, well at least it was only a few bucks, to which my girlfriend responds, "No, they were $7.". Me: 7 bucks. You've got to be kidding me. That can't be right. I look at the menu online and sure enough they're $5.99, not $6.99. Not a big difference, but at this point I didn't get what I ordered and I was overcharged on the cheese fries. I call Joe's and talk to Stefan (the on duty manager) who explains that the website doesn't have the correct prices, and that the in store prices are more. I explain to Stefan that I didn't order from the store menu, and that in fact I didn't even order the fries, but at the very least I shouldn't be charged more than the online price. Stefan tells me that the prices on the website are wrong and that I was charged correctly. I ask him, "So there's nothing you can do about this?" He says no. Suffice it to say that it was among the worst customer service I've ever received. THE FOOD Both the pizza and the cheese fries were undercooked. The dough of the pizza was soggy and while the texture resembled that of New York, both the soggy dough and the pizza slice size were nothing like you'd get in NYC. Additionally the pizza wasn't hot when it arrived, luke warm at best. The toppings on the pizza were slim, we had pepperoni and there was about 1.5 pepperonis per slice on the Large (16") cut into 8 slices. CONCLUSION Overall if you want to give them a shot I'd highly recommend dining in, that way you guarantee you get what you order and that you know the correct pricing. Also, if the pizza is undercooked you can at least get them to put it back in for a few minutes, which is what we ended up doing at home. read more

Manicotti is always a treat, rich and creamy cheese stuffed shells baked in flavorful fresh made tomato sauce. Have also just ordered a side of meatballs here, coming smothered in sauce. Tonight my daughter and I split a Stromboli and a cheesesteak. The Stromboli was stuffed with cheese and meat and came with a side of sauce that we poured in with each bite.
