My husband and I called in an order for pickup--and usually I try to get something that I think will carry out well--but I *really* wanted to try their lamb osso bucco. And I was pleasantly surprised, it worked very well for carry out and it was DELICIOUS. We shared the dish (came with polenta and sauce) and it was mind-blowing. Eat here, eat all the things--everything on the menu looked amazing and if it tastes as good as the lamb, then it'll be well worth it! So we tried this place for the 1st time seeing as they are answer restaurant in our area. Our server Chrissa was awesome but it was downhill from there. We had drinks which were nice and placed our order. When our food got to us my Mannicoti was cold so I had to send it back. That was ok as my salad came out after that so I had that to pick at. I recently traveled to Boyertown for my mom's 80th birthday and we celebrated it at Grind. The place is very beautiful inside and the menu was very creative and tasty. The crab dip was awesome and we ordered two chicken dishes, the crab mac and cheese and mussels with white wine. Everything was excellent and the portions were very generous. The wine list offered some white wines I've never heard of, so we tried something new and were very happy. The wait staff was very friendly and accommodating; they actually lit my mom's cake twice so we could take a better photo. Overall, the staff and great food made spending this momentous occasion there very special. This place has become a go-to restaurant for my mom and I'll definitely dine their again when I visit. read more

I really want this place to succeed and I think all the pieces are there. I like that they have a creative menu and the food I've had there so far has been good. We had the crab dip and the poutine for appetizers and both were good. The meatball dishes are well thought out and I have had the mushroom sauce and the arrabiata sauces and they were good, albeit a little stingy on the amount of sauce. My wife had the chicken Florentine and that was quite good. I like that they have a large selection of bourbons, unusual fur Boyertown. All and all I think the place is very good but I look forward to seeing where they go once covid is over and they have had time to develop the menu. read more

One of the best kept secrets in the western suburbs. Don't miss on this place. Worth it if it's out of your way. Everything from soups to desserts and all in between are really great. The bar options for bourbon are unmatched. Service is fantastic and the place is definitely cozy and clean. The owner walks around to every table asking what they can do better. Very cool atmosphere and a very comfortable restaurant. I'm not exactly sure how many weeks they've been open but i don't think it's been many. I don't want to butcher the name but we had the french fries with the egg on top for an appetizer, a different concept but damn they were good. For dinner i had the ny strip steak which was a bit over cooked, asked for medium rare came out on the well done side. But steak is steak and it still had great flavor. My gf has the shrimp dinner which was excellent. I think the waitresses need to be a little better we'll versed in learning the menu but it's still very early for the company and i think they will do just fine. I would absolutely recommend GRIND! We Visited Grind on New Year's Eve, very early in the dinner rush. We were seated right away by polite courteous staff. I was impressed by the selection of bourbon and whisky. The owner was making rounds asking for feedback from the couple next to us when we were seated. The menu is still a limited soft launch menu. There was a good selection but some notable items not on the menu such as your typical burgers. Everything was fresh. As someone with food allergies I am always a difficult customer, and our server handled all my questions with grace and empathy which is not always the case when I go out. They modified the dishes to my request and I was happy with the end result. Overall it has a lot of potential, and fits a unique niche no other restaurant in the area does. read more

Our first visit to Grind was this past weekend and the food was exceptional. We started with the poutine appetizer, it was a large portion, definitely meant for sharing and absolutely delicious. We both had the beef meatball bowls with different sauces (bacon/Gouda and arrabiata), which were incredible. Excellent service provided by Sam. My husband and I made reservations for our Valentines day dinner plans here on 2/12. Our reservation was for 6pm, but our sitter came early so we arrived at 5:30 and expected to be told to wait or sit at the bar, which we would have been happy to do. Instead they seated us immediately! We started with drinks, an old fashioned and the Manatawny margarita...both were very well blended and neither were light on the liquor! For an appetizer we got the Frito Misto which was delicious! The fresh fish was my favorite, and the garlic lemon aioli we fought over. Even the simple arrabiata sauce was so flavorful! For dinner, my husband and I both chose their specials, his was the 8ox premium filet crab Oscar style, mine was the Halibut crab Oscar style. Both served with green beans and redskin potatoes (which I've never had a tastier redskin potato, what do you do to these?!) We didn't want to finish them because they were SO good. Husband and I agreed this was the BEST meal we have ever had. The portions on everything were generous and we couldn't fit dessert in, but I already want to go back for my birthday next month. During our meal, the owner, Keith, came to our table to check on our meals and request feedback, even if its not good. I couldn't tell him a single thing to change! The drinks and food were amazing, the staff were lovely, the atmosphere was nice but not "stuffy" or pretentious even though the food was Michelin star status. They claim to be "refined but approachable" and let me tell you, they nailed it.
