Someone supposedly used their services with my card number and although groomit acknowledged it was not the same person as me, they refused to reimburse the funds. They canceled future appointments that this other person scheduled and expected us to accept a $350 loss. The fraud was limited only to Groomit. Our credit card was not used fraudulently for any other purchase, so it seems clear to me that someone within the company is involved in credit card fraud. read more

We needed a last minute cut for our maltipoo and made an apt for mobile grooming with only one day notice. Our groomer, Charles, was outside our apartment ready to roll punctually (even a bit early!) and talked through Ziggy's cut, noting any sensitive areas or concerns we have about ziggy during grooming. Exactly an hour later ziggy's back home and looking great, and no post groom anxiety or worries. Groomit used to be a wonderful service. I've been using them since 2020. This year I ended use of their grooming services. Within the last two years, their groomers have behaved in extremely unprofessional ways. They routinely cancel appointments within minutes of the scheduled appointment time or arrive hours late. They don't provide the courtesy of informing you they will be late, instead you have to play a game of phone tag to get their eta. Using the app is very easy and I schedule the grooming a week in advance but that advance planning doesn't help. The final straw for me was this weekend when I booked a grooming for my dog and a friend's pup, 7 days in advance, confirmed and paid for with two separate groomers to go to two separate locations. They both cancelled within minutes to start time, with flimsy " vehicle trouble" excuses. We rescheduled with the times they gave us, only to have them cancel again, this time with no excuse. This is an unreliable, untrustworthy, business with unprofessional staff. I was a big fan of their's in the beginning, even investing in their Wefunder. What a poor investment, this company had potential but they have lost me as an investor and client. Only use them if you want to waste a day waiting for a groomer that will never show up. read more

I initially tried to schedule with Christopher and Groomit told me Carlos is there best groomer. If this is the best I don't even want to know what the worst is. Ok, listen - I don't write yelp reviews. I appreciate all the people that spend time doing this, but it ain't my bag. That said, a full week after my dog's groom (if we're calling it that?), I'm compelled to let the people know... This cut isn't just bad, it is COMICALLY BAD. We had the van-outside-our-apartment service, and when my wife came back in with our dog - I asked her, with genuine curiosity, if the groomer had a young child in there performing cuts. Just a wildly, wildly horrific job. Our dog is old, he had just turned 12 (!) He is a rescue, he is anxious. Weighing in at a whopping 21 lbs, his lineage is TBD - but my guess is mostly dachshund w/ corgi, king charles, chow, shitzu, terrier sprinkled in (he looks like Falcor from The Neverending Story. He is gorgeous. Best tail in Brooklyn, don't @ me). And while I'm grateful the groomer didn't cut his dick off, like others have reported, or otherwise traumatize him in any lasting way...no groomer ever in twelve years has been unable to give him a proper cut. Lauren was really great with my 9 year old Lhasa rescue who was in bad shape and hates people touching his paws!!! I had been traveling for work and left him to my husband to be taken care of. I came back to a dirty snooter with some mats and gum in his toes and a beard so dirty it was almost black. His bangs were so long he couldn't see and he was a smelly boy! I took a chance on the app with the gold package plus dematting which was really expensive (160+tip) but he was really uncomfortable so it was worth it at the time when we were both swamped with work and travel. His usual cuts run from $80-120 and I have to deal with getting him there and back and kill time in the meantime. Lauren showed up right on time. She set up her stuff, got my boy comfy enough with her, and went to town. She used our tub and towels and left less clogging in the drain than I usually do when bathing him. She was gentle when he got nippy, and got some pesky gum out of his toes with a couple yips but nothing serious. His cut was a little uneven and choppy but I totally done care. All I want is for him to be comfortable with someone and not dread the grooming and come out as least-traumatized as possible. Lauren was great and I'd invite her back every single time. Expensive but worth it. I've spent more money killing time before he's done at other places - especially when they are running late. The service is very unreliable and honestly Untrustworthy. I had my dog groomed there and they sent a groomer who ended up cutting his genitals with a clipper so much so that they scarred his penis and he had to wear a cone. My dog was so stressed out from the experience that he came down with Addison two weeks after that Cone came off. They tried to work with me telling me that it was a mistake with the settings of the clipper and that they would never send that groomer to me again. and they gave me a couple free grooming's but their mobile app kept connecting me with groomers that I didn't request and sure enough a few months later the same groomer who had cut him came to my doorstep. Don't do it - you think this service will make your life easy because they come to your apt for grooming, but in fact, the service is terrible! The groomer unevenly shaved my cat, was rough with him, and barely cared when the cat was screaming over being groomed. If that wasn't bad enough there was hair EVERYWHERE. The groomer cleaned about 80% percent of it but for the cost of this service, all the hair should be gone from my apartment and it should be spotless. Instead, I was left cleaning myself. This is not to mention that the groomer clipped my cats nails and let them fly everywhere. Finally, the next morning when I headed to work, there were clumps of hair all over the stairwell. This is a wonderful service! The app is super convenient and saves me time from having to go to the groomer. My groomer (Olga) showed up on time and did a wonderful job grooming my dog. She was extremely kind and patient with my old Pomeranian, who does not enjoy being groomed at all. She suggested a different way to cut his fur than PetSmart had done int he past, and it turned out great! He looks ready for a dog show! She also showed me tips on how to better brush his fur. Today I had an appointment for my dog at 1:30 PM. At 1:50 PM I began wondering what was going on since I had not received an email or text about any sort of delay (in my previous appointment the groomer was five minutes late and made sure to text us and apologize). They returned my call and told me that because I live in one town and the groomer is in a neighboring town it does take her some time to travel (even though the towns are 20 minutes apart). I told the representative that that's still unacceptable, that everyone should plan ahead and arrive on time considering I also have things to do after this appointment that this will delay me from completing (and we aren't talking here about five minutes, it's already 20 minutes past my scheduled appointment). They said they would contact the groomer with an ETA and returned to say that she is still 50 minutes away and set to arrive at 2:50 which is 20 minutes past when my appointment was scheduled to end. Considering it takes another hour to groom it would be a total of a two hour delay. She apologized and said that they are willing to offer me a $10 discount. I told her that after paying $170 a $10 discount is unacceptable considering their Groomer didn't plan ahead and now I am the one who has to deal with the consequences. She said she still understands me but that's the best they can do. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she said that only she can speak to him. I was wondering what type of company is this where you can't escalate your concerns but she said that he can't take my call or call me back so I canceled my appointment and will never be using their services again read more

The MOST unreliable and unprofessional service application I've ever encountered in my life! On two occasions this incompetent company could NOT successfully provide services to me. The first occasion no one was available to do the services aka no one wanted to work for an almost $150 grooming service. The second occasion which I was very excited for my puppy was also unsuccessfully provided and cancelled upon arrival. The groomer literally cancelled downstairs from my apartment walk-up because she could not walk up the stairs. Mind you, to enter the building you have to go up a set of steps. The groomer states they entered the building in which to their surprise there was no elevator. How did they get into the building? Groomer never buzzed me to get in or even have the decency to call me. Proceeded to text and say because she physically couldn't go up the stairs.. but somehow you made it up the building in the first place and never got buzzed in nothing?? I offer to help her and assist her and her response she physically can't. COMPANIES RESPONSE: "It would be helpful if there was a note upon booking that there is no elevator." AS IF I INCONVENIENCED THEM! Your groomer is the one that cannot physically do certain tasks so she should inquire or do research before accepting to provide a service!!! And not cancel the moment the service is suppose to be taking place! I've never been so angry at a company in my life! By far the longest review I've ever wrote and hope to ever write! I would never recommend this company to anyone! They lack empathy and frankly their customer service sucks! This was all BS! I had the groomer Janeth for an in home grooming and she was great with my Yorkie. However, when she groomed my dog he was all uneven. His little face, ears and body looked like Edward Scissor Hand had groomed him. I had to show her some spots she missed. The next day my doggie looked ragged and all butchered plus didn't smell like he had just gotten a bathed. His little face and ears were the worst both ears were uneven. The left side of his body was even but the right side had long hair in different parts. The nails were not properly trimmed either. On his front paws some of the nails were short and others were long and looked like they were not trimmed at all. I had specifically told the groomer that we were going away for the weekend and I wanted him styled, smelling great and looking adorable. I asked she kindly focus on his face and ears and even showed her pictures of what I exactly wanted. Upon my return on the following Monday I reached out to Groomit regarding the grooming and see if possibly it can be corrected and was informed that to file a complaint I would've had to submit it 48 hours after the grooming. :( I am extremely disappointed because they are not cheap.
