That statement was false and misleading. When I went to sell the car, I discovered that the DMV had recorded an accident on the vehicle a full year before I bought it. This misrepresentation cost me a $3,000 in lost value, verified by an auto broker who showed me recent comparable sales of nearly identical vehicles. When I raised this issue with CarMax, they refused to accept any responsibility or compensate me for any of the loss in value. CarMax heavily markets "peace of mind" and "transparency," but my experience shows those claims are hollow. If their employees can misrepresent a car's history and the company refuses to make it right, then buyers cannot trust the accuracy of anything they're told. Furthermore, do not rely on the CarMax vehicle inspection to uncover previous damage that would have been discoverable by a competent mechanic. Be certain to complete an independent pre-purchase inspection using a competent mechanic. CarMax misrepresented the vehicle I purchased, and their refusal to stand behind their word shows a lack of integrity. Buyers beware--you could be left with a car worth thousands less than you were led to believe.

I brought the vehicle in again as it didn't drive quite as well. No check engine light. 58K on the odometer, I requested a 60K service (customer pay). There are two 60k services for this vehicle, AutoNation's version and Ford's. I requested Ford's maintenance as it was more comprehensive to me. I requested that all fluids be drained, flushed and renewed. Engine oil & filter, transmission fluid & filter, front and rear differentials, transferbox, cabin and air filters as I was traveling to NJ for the Thanksgiving holiday. The service department knew that. The oil in the transfer box was not changed, nor the air and cabin filters. Would you trust anything that they did? I didn't. After my break down and inspection by a 3rd party, I traded it in, after I paid for the repairs. Returning home to CO, I broke down going over the Mississippi from IL to MO on Sunday the 1st. Found a hotel and a Ford dealer in the St. Louis, MO area. Failure of a cross threaded bolt, filled with Locktite could not withstand the pressures put on it. This bolt is 1 of 3 that hold the High Pressure (HP) fuel pump, driven by the camshaft. By compromising the mounting bolts, this was a doomed failure waiting to happen. At this point I have two different technicians doing the same thing. Crossthreading. One with a lug nut, the other a critical mounting component of the engine. Had a qualified technician done the 60k inspection including a read out of codes, which could have led to further diagnosis PREVENTING failure that left me and my family stranded in a snowstorm. There is no such talent at this facility. I have zero confidence that they can fix your Ford here. Or as in my case, returning a lesser product to me. After giving AutoNation Littleton Ford a perfectly well maintained 2018 F150 Raptor, it came back to me damaged, broken, stranded, and leaving me with zero confidence. Do yourself a favor and avoid this service department. Mark, With no respect, YOU DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR CUSTOMERS. This is intolerable. Before you post, make sure that your facts are correct. I can see where this culture is created.

Littleton Mercedes-Benz…read more Thank You Dan in service! I brought my daughter's Mercedes into Littleton last week for an issue we were having. My family has some of the best and dedicated car guys (my Brother & Father) so I always listen to them. My Brother Ray V. told me to give Littleton a shot after I didn't have much luck at the dealership we originally purchased the car from. I was ready for the worst and received the best IMO. I came in on a Saturday and missed the Service department by a few hours. I was getting ready to leave and was stopped by one of the sales guys and then the manager who didn't just say to come back on Monday, They gave me the info I needed and took the time to introduce themselves to me with a business card and the best time to come back. I came back early Monday morning and met a really good service team. Dan took my info and did a fantastic job explaining everything to me. He gave me a loaner vehicle and made sure to contact me a few hours later and again early the next morning. Dan was very professional and had the car back to us in a short time. Through the years I've been to almost every dealership in the metro area and am sometimes disappointed. I've also owned several restaurants in Denver over the last 30 years and I know good service and have had to answer for not so good service. Sorry to go on so long but I get a great feeling when I'm treated right and the staff go above and beyond. The car business is a tough business and it's wonderful to be treated well. Thanks to Dan & the team and thanks for taking care of us. -Sincerely, Tony V.

When I tried to cancel, after finding this out, they couldn't give me a full refund even though they had assured me I could go near where I lived to get my oil changed. Then they said they'd give me a discounted additional key fob to offset my partial refund on the service plan but even though the manager has now taken over my issue it's still taking forever to come in...you can't tell me it takes 6-8 weeks for a key fob... It stinks. It just leaves a bad taste in my mouth when they're deceptive to sell a service plan and then you're stuck. It's not like this is an American Dealership selling the odd European car...so are they really oblivious to how much a European oil change costs? And this was for a bug! Went here to get suspension work done on my Tesla. Overall the vibe was friendly and the mechanic…read morethey had look at my car seemed to be top notch. He was the reason I wanted to get the suspension serviced here as his explanation of what I needed done showed his mastery of his craft. However after taking the car to Tesla to get a 2nd opinion I discovered that this shop (not the tech) was trying to charge me literally a 200% markup on the parts to do the repair. Crazy right!!! The genuine Tesla parts for the repair were $209 and these guys quoted those same parts out to $614 (I sent him the estimate from Tesla with the exact cost of the parts). Unfortunately for me Tesla wouldn't work on the car because of an aftermarket body kit the previous owner had installed. I really liked the mechanic at this shop, so I went back to this shop with the intention to move forward even though their cost was literally 56% more ($1,635 vs $2,555) then Tesla for the same work (because of the price gouging on the parts). Then when I asked about it before my approval to move forward the manager got snarky and said how would you expect us to stay in business if we don't markup the parts. I said and I quote "I get a markup on the parts and your high hourly rate for the labor on the work but not a 200% markup on the parts." The guy gave an excuse about the software they use but was unwilling to budge on the price gouging. I literally said why don't you let me buy the parts directly from Tesla and you can still mark them up 25% and he still said no. I was completely professional throughout the conversation, but obviously would not pay a 200% markup on parts on top of the already top of market labor they charge. After the conversation he texted me back and we agreed to not move forward. I only leave this review to warn others. It's a bad business practice to over charge people like that and so I just wanted to give people my story warning them to watch out and be careful before doing any work here. Update: this slime ball's disclosure of all the information I gave his manager, Steve, in good faith is abhorrent. Everything he mentioned on the car was told to them right up front as I told it to the manager, Steve, in person and this clown is repeating word for word what I told his manager. I was cool with this at first but this guy is a complete scum bag now using my own words and lying about it. Anyways besides being a scum bag, no effort at all was made regarding the parts and this shops 200% markup. I literally told the guy running the shop I would buy the parts myself and let them mark it up 25% and still the answer was a quick no. Everything I said was honest and accurate and don't appreciate this guy claiming transparency when his long shpeel was essentially just a my own words complaining about the car I bought and his shops poor excuse for price gauging. They could have done the job without gauging me on the price given I had the option to buy the parts myself. Not cool at all the response from this guy and his piss poor excuse for attempting to rip me off.
