My dad recommended this office to me. They already had great reviews but the kicker was that I was able to schedule an appointment online. This was a huge plus for someone like me that always remember to do important things on weekends and after business hours. The entire staff from reception to doctor, was incredibly kind and helpful. They took the time to introduce me to every step of the process. I have worn glasses for almost 10 years and this was the first time anyone has offered to explain the issues with my vision without just hurling the word "astigmatism" at me and calling it a day. They also helped me choose a pair of glasses that checked all my boxes in terms of being functional, affordable, and cute. Definitely a pleasant experience. Dr. Riggs and his staff are amazing. Short story: I needed contacts ASAP, Dr. Riggs staff got me in even though I'm not a customer and gave me temporary contacts while my new ones are delivered Long story: I have terrible vision and have been getting new contacts instead of glasses for the last 10 years. Yesterday my last pair of contacts got a tear in them. I called my (now former) optometrist, and they couldn't do anything for me. Called (my new optometrist) Dr. Riggs and his staff got me in same day, gave me a couple daily lenses to get me through until the full pack comes in. Side note, he diagnosed my eye symptoms and gave me tips to keep my eyes healthier. I want to get laser eye surgery and they provided all the information needed for that. If you have VSP insurance DO NOT GO HERE. I used to go here for about 3 years. They would make me pay a $15 copay for the exam AND then pay an extra $60 for a contact lens exam. Then I found out that other optometrist only charge a $5 copay that included my contact lens exam. Then they try to upsell by saying you need other tests that costs more money. I will say I gave it the one star because they have a good variety of name brand glasses. read more

I can't imagine anyone not liking their experience here. Dr. Kevin Riggs is so smart, friendly, and personable...he really takes the time with you that you need, and is just a really cool person. Same with all of the staff!! One time I had a pair of glasses that were getting a big old and needed something adjusted on them, and when one of the staff accidentally broke off the arm she immediately had the pair replaced at no charge, very quickly, even though they were already on their last leg! 100% perfect experience I called Dr. Riggs at 6:30am because my son poked me in my eye and scratched my cornea. His emergency answering service connected me to him and he gave me advice over the phone. I was so pleased to have spoken with him and have him tell me what to (after talking to a few pharmacists and people who did not really know what to do). Dr. Riggs called me that afternoon to make sure I was doing better. What a pleasant surprise. He offered to squeeze me into his already booked schedule to take a look and see if he could help my pain. When I went in the office staff was so nice and friendly. Dr. Riggs saw me right away and gave me anti-biotic drops for my eye and put on a clear contact shield to help the cornea heal. It felt so much better. He scheduled me to come back the next day for a check-up and again, he was right on time and so friendly. I am going back later today so he can remove the shield since my eye is almost healed. I am so grateful to him for seeing me and helping me out. I was in so much pain and he immediately made it better. read more

After a rocky start making an appointment (using their "Make an Appointment" option on the web page... definitely would have been more efficient to just pick up the phone and call!). Highly recommend this facility for your optometry needs. Everyone (Elizabeth, Lynn) was very friendly, helpful and took time to explain procedures. As a new patient, no matter how many times you go through a "routine eye exam" - this was unexpected but very well-received! Dr. Kevin Riggs is clearly very knowledgeable and took a lot of time also to review my history and explain the results of my exam.
