Had the pup with us driving thru from the beach, didn't regular fast food, they do have two tables outside but it was 92 degrees. We ordered takeout and ate in car. They Do have a drive through pick up!!! Good to know for future visits. The food was great. Loved all the flavors. Liked the recycling efforts they are supporting!

Traveling through town looking for something basic to eat that was semi healthy and delicious. This place had great reviews. Starting off- young teenage boy running drive thru window and counter, wore mask on his chin, barely covering his mouth and never his nose. We dined in and it never was pulled up. Young blond waitress wore hers correctly the entire time, very professional. Allowing ppl to eat inside, simple establishment, no frills. We enjoyed a rueben and an Arcadian chicken pita. Both served promptly w dressings in individual containers and a side of chips. Sweet tea and our soda refreshed promptly as well. Food and service impeccable. Hit the spot for a quick dinner on the road.

    Club sandwich for 1

First time ordering from Groucho's and I have nothing but praise for them. I ordered a Club sandwich for 1 and this bod had to weight several pounds. I was a but weary by the price and Pic online but it was well worth it. It came with a pickle and small bag of chips. I also decided to try each of their house made dressings (Formula 45 and 95), both of which were very good and you get quite a large sauce cup (way more than enough in each for 2 sandwiches, much less 1). Highly recommend both! The service was super quick, on time and the workers there very friendly. I'll be back ASAP! (As you can tell, I couldn't help but to dig in right away!)

Perfect sandwich shop with friendly service. Plenty of tables and booths, but I like sitting at the counter top. Menu has a large variety of subs and sandwiches, all served on wonderfully soft bread! I enjoy the White Moose, thinly sliced turkey, provolone, lettuce, and their formula 45 sauce. Chips and a pickle on the side and it's a great lunch. They also have salads, BLT's, and other deli sandwiches. But their specialty sandwiches are really good and make it better than other sandwich shops. I like coming here during the work week, and it seems so does a lot of Florence, as it gets busy. So busy they even operate a drive thru window that is non stop. Groucho's is a friendly local sandwich shop, and I am a fan.

Great sandwiches and good service. Definitely worth the drive off the highway to get away from fast food. Would definitely go again.

Just average - no onions. I assume that the other high reviews mean it is the best among barely average.

A Florence standout worth returning to!…read more As a San Francisco Bay Area foodie, I'm always searching for restaurants that care about sourcing, seasonality and the entire dining experience. Town Hall checked those boxes for me a couple of years ago, so when work brought me back to Florence, I knew exactly where I wanted to eat. I looked at other options first, but nothing appealed to me at quite the same level. Town Hall's farm-driven, Southern-inspired menu, shareable plates and beautiful setting won me over again. And I'm happy to report: the second visit was every bit as memorable as the first. We started with the house-made cornbread and honey butter at our server's recommendation. Be warned: this stuff is dangerous. Hot, sweet and almost cake-like, with that honey butter melting into it. We promptly ordered another basket. Cocktails were equally impressive. I ordered a Sidecar, and when our server asked my cognac preference, my colleague volunteered Hennessy. Hennessy it was--and it made one spectacular Sidecar. For dinner, our server described a scallop special served over a shrimp étouffée-style preparation with microgreens. Sold. I paired that with the wedge salad because, well, I needed some roughage. The wedge came beautifully dressed with blue cheese, tomatoes, pickled red onion and bacon. The scallops were beautifully seared and tender, and the rich sauce underneath made the dish. My dining companions joined the fun with the house-made sausage, another order of the scallops, and a ribeye with French fries swapped in for the creamed corn--a little steak frites moment. Everything landed beautifully. What impressed me almost as much as the food was the service choreography. Our server was knowledgeable, personable and attentive without hovering. There was thoughtful table touching throughout the evening. Our dishes arrived together, and no plates disappeared while someone else was still eating. Those details may seem small, but polished hospitality lives in those details. We were far too full for dessert, so we called it a night--happy, well-fed and already talking about how good everything had been. Town Hall is the kind of restaurant I hope to find when traveling for work: locally driven, interesting food, strong cocktails, beautiful surroundings and service that understands hospitality. Two visits several years apart, and both delivered. If you're in Florence--or passing through South Carolina on your way toward the coast--Town Hall is worth making part of the trip. Life is too short not to eat well, sleep well, travel well and shop well. Get out there and find your next destination.

Collards are technically I think cooked with meat but didn't have super heavy flavors for those that may still eat meat. Corn bread was absolutely delicious. Snap peas were delightfully sautéed in a cast iron with almost a blackened flavor. Highly recommend rooftop!!

He was SO hospitable, sweet and genuinely welcoming. He gave great recommendations and did not steer us wrong. These days, it's not always easy to come across service like that, which made it even more appreciated. I ordered the Sunset Blush drink and it was delicious. We also got the cornbread and I'm not exaggerating when I say it was the BEST cornbread I've ever had. So soft and flavorful. The brisket sandwich was a little dry (could be because we went during closing) but still had really good flavor. The mac and cheese though... WOW. I am very picky with mac and cheese and most places miss the mark, but this tasted homemade. Easily a 10/10. My husband got the peach bourbon burger and said it was great. The kids ate everything in sight which is always a win...lastly the cinnamon roll cheesecake for dessert... phenomenal!!! Overall such a great experience and I'm really glad we stopped in!

After driving 15 hours on March 21, 2026, my husband and I were genuinely excited to try this place and planned to take our food back to the hotel. Unfortunately, the experience started off poorly and never really recovered. First, parking is extremely limited out front, which is frustrating when you're tired and just want a quick pickup. Inside, things only got worse. The front-of-house staff was shockingly unprofessional. The employee helping us clearly didn't understand her job and had to be corrected multiple times by another staff member--something no customer should have to witness. It created confusion, delays, and zero confidence in our order. We paid about $50 for a sampler, which is not cheap, and yet the same employee argued about giving us the sides because she entered the order incorrectly. If another, more competent employee hadn't stepped in, I'm convinced it would have escalated further. Even then, we never received one of the four sides we paid for. To make matters worse, we were never asked if we wanted drinks to go, and we weren't given plates, silverware, or even BBQ sauce--basic essentials for a takeout order. That's just unacceptable. While waiting, we also watched this same employee tell three separate dine-in families to go sit and wait while she stood there rolling silverware. Completely rude and dismissive. If I had been one of those customers, I would have walked out. This is the first impression customers get, and it's a terrible reflection of how the place is run. Between the disorganization, poor communication, and outright unfriendly behavior, the service was a mess. The only reason this isn't a one-star review is because the food itself was actually very good. The burnt ends and ribs were the standout--absolutely delicious. But great BBQ can't fully make up for such a frustrating and poorly managed customer experience.
