In my experience with other companies I have never been quoted a separate digging fee. I believe the omission of the fee in the quote was intentional, and I find the post-hoc justifications unacceptable. These people are duplicitous, untrustworthy and their bait and switch way of doing business is deceitful. Needless to say, based on this experience, I would not use them again.

When I joked about it being a premium price, the response was "this is normal pricing". Let's say you don't want to change it yourself... other HVAC companies charge between $150-$300; I know this because I'm on the board of my HOA and multiple units have since failed and I've asked for invoices to compare. I could not find one that charged close to them (6 different companies) and Google will show you the average repair price is between $120 and $220.
