Well this spot popped up as a must try place on yelp so we gave it a try and really enjoyed the vibes here. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly at 9am! Our server was so accommodating and responsive. The food was made fresh and served hot just how I like it. The restaurant was indoor/outdoor and allowed for spacious seating adhering to the Social Distancing health measures. I notice people (staff) wore mask and gloves. The outdoor seating does allow for guest to have their fur ball family members (pets). The staff brought a bowl of water out for the dog which I thought was really nice. The owners kept dog on leash and dog stayed under the guest table. There is lots of available parking and outdoor waiting area. Great price for two people having breakfast (less than $40). We just moved to El Paso and tried this spot out for breakfast. This place is amazing. The atmosphere and interior design is nice to have brunch in. They adhered to making sure we stayed 6 ft away from other guests. We had the Korean Noodles, Chicken and Waffles, and French Toast. All of which are amazing. It's great to see a blend of Asian cuisine with American food. I would definitely come back here and I would take friends to this spot. Also, the employee Denise was great. Brunch is a thing in El Paso now...lol. That's a good thing, cause El Paso cuisine usually involves the abundance of burgers, tacos and wings. Anyhow, I had the opportunity to eat here today. The menu reminded me of what Crave has to offer, but better. I stuck with 2 servings of maple bacon brussels sprouts and nibbled off of the charcuterie board ($48) of breakfast delights that was ordered for the table. I'm going to share my observations of what my dining party felt about their entrees, because I know they do not dare to yelp about it. Ribeye steak & eggs skillet: sweet potato blend did not pair well with the entree and the steak was small and thin, not what you expect for the size and price of a ribeye Chilaquiles: surprisingly good flavor Smoked salmon benedict: good flavor Chicken and waffles: really good Fried calamari: not one but 2 long strands of hair found in the garnishment of red/green lettuce; this wasn't brought to the attention of the server...had it been me... I did enjoy that the mimosa was done with prosecco and not the cheap champagne that other restaurants offer. The grove potatoes looked like they were pre-seasoned and pre-packaged, inauthentic preparation. The smoked salmon tasted like the Sam's club brand and the size of the chicken breasts on the waffles was alarming (HUGE), also observed in a buffalo chicken sandwich ordered by another patron. Food was decently priced, I got the jicama pork belly tacos. They were very flavorful however the "taco shell" was thin and a little soggy from the sauce so it made it a little difficult to eat. My server was very nice and professional and even switched out my mimosa because I didn't like the first one I ordered (coconut mimosa). We had been to restaurants in this new up and coming food plaza. There are a few amazing restaurants there, unfortunately this is not one of them. The atmosphere is fun and exciting, yet the overall experience was lacking. Unfortunately the food was subpar, lacking too much flavor to even be called mediocre for the atrocious prices. I feel robbed. I ordered the eggs Benedict. After what seemed like hour... my eggs Benedict finally joined my significant's salmon salad dish in the serving window for what had now been sitting 15 minutes. Upon arrival, the food was visually appealing. That I will give credit for. But that is all. As with most eggs Benedict, the hollandaise is the focal point of the dish. Bland and minimal leaving the poached eggs struggling to impress. The protein was unable to save the dish even with is natural salts. Supremely disappointed. Was left with a literal sour taste spending $40 for two horrendously flavored dishes. The grove should literally have paid the wait staff the entire ticket amount because they are directly responsible for saving the day with great service. Very annoying experience. Came for my brothers birthday, we had a reservation at 10:30 am and were not seated until 11:30 am. What's the point of having a reservation if it's not going to be respected? Before we were eventually sat, we asked to see if they could split up our party so we could be seated since some of us had flights to catch and go to work. When we asked the hostess said they could not do that, that'd she have to check, but with an attitude. Once the manager was asked she said of course and yet the hostess was like but are you sure we can do that? I'm not sure why she was so opposed to accommodating us after we had already been waiting an hour. I finally got to try Grove! I've wanted to go for months! The place always seems packed. I got a hipster vibe from the place which is ok with me. Based on what I've read on Yelp, it reminded me of a cafe you'd find in LA or New York City. I guess you can say El Paso is catching up to modern places like those. Their menu isn't that large but I still had a hard time deciding what to order. I got the red chilaquiles. I couldn't decide if I wanted red or green chile. I wanted to ask if they could do both but I didn't. I asked for a scrambled egg on top. Although the dish wasn't spicy, it was tasty. I liked the mild chile and queso fresco (white cheese sprinkles). I didn't care for the cream on the sides of it. It tasted sweet and didn't mesh well with the other flavors. The egg added a nice touch. They can add red onions but I didn't want any. If I go again, I'll try the green chilaquiles. I might ask for both! FYI: Chilaquiles are enchiladas but they're cut up into smaller pieces. They're sometimes made with tortillas or tostadas (tortilla chips). I think these were made with tostadas. I prefer that over tortillas. They're a bit crunchier that way. With tortillas, they sometimes get too soggy. My boyfriend got the Border Burger and he liked it. I didn't taste it. We shared a fudge brownie for dessert. It was really awesome! The brownie was warm and came with a scoop of vanilla ice cream with caramel on top of it. The brownie had fudge on top of it. It may sound like it was too sweet but it really wasn't. It hit the spot! The service was kind of slow but it was packed so I understand. I would've preferred cold water to drink rather than room temperature. Overall, a good place to try. While I think the french toast i got last time was better overall, their pancakes are great, very sweet and moist. My wife had the "croque madam" (texas toast, black forest ham, mustard seeds, gouda cheese, and an egg) and enjoyed it, but still liked the "chicken and waffles" she had last week better. Ramen noodle spinach dish. Didn't catch the ramen part, mushy no flavor. A mule that costs 14 dollars. I really wanted the salmon nacho thing to be excellent but with a mayonnaise base the salmon turned to tuna fish. Burger was great. We walked in on a Saturday afternoon and it was packed as to be expected. We waited about an hour for seating but ultimately decided to order takeout bc our kids were getting rowdy and we did not want to subject anyone to our kids free spirited abuse. My family and I went for brunch on a Wednesday morning. It was pretty packed but thankfully we were seated right away. My husband ordered an omelet which came with the Grove potatoes and I ordered the crab cakes Benedict with the grove potatoes. My husband said the omelet was just a standard omelet but on the small side for how much it was. He was still hungry after he finished his meal. My crab cakes Benedict were okay, the crab cakes were falling apart and a little dry and there was minimal hollandaise sauce on top so I asked for an extra side of the hollandaise sauce. I've had better eggs Benedict and honestly was a little disappointed by them. The grove potatoes tasted a little funky to me. Maybe it was the seasoning on top? Every single item we ordered today had spoiled food in it, from spoiled vegetables to spoiled cheese and even the sides were spoiled. Being that my family and I are regulars, I wanted to give them an opportunity to right their wrong but was met with hostility and denial when I brought the issue up to the manager, Jessica Marquez. She kept interrupting me and refused to listen to my concerns, then belittled me by telling me I was wrong about my food and that it was somehow my fault I received the order late(?!!) and that was why the food was "that way", even though she didn't once see my food for herself. And to top it off she didn't even want to give me the contact info for the owners and gave me a fake email.
