Decent brunch and dinner place, but that's about the extent of it as far as their food goes. It's okay, but expensive in my opinion for what you get. The exception to this is the drinks - they're delicious, original, and heavy handed ... but again pricey. They have a nice outdoor covered patio that is in the front, and I love sitting out there! I don't really come for the food. The reason I'm giving three stars though is you'll be sitting there for a hot minute - everything runs super super slow no matter how busy they're are, and the waitresses always seem overwhelmed. read more

Extremely friendly excellent service. Loved the decor and vibe of the indoor/outdoor space. Very distanced and clean for Covid. The sweet potato pancakes were unbelievably good and not too sweet even with the caramel drizzle. The syrup was just what it needed. My husband loved his flavorful, fresh egg hash skillet which came out in the actual warm skillet! The local coffee was smooth and delicious (and the mug was huge! The place is set up very nicely and elegant. I wish the food was better. Dragon fruit and coconut mimosa.... Dragon fruit tasted like cough medicine, but the coconut one was not so bad. The atmosphere setup and decor is absolutely stunning, modern, sheik and elegant all in one, yet I feel comfortable bringing my toddler every time. Nice ambience for an afternoon lunch. The heaters outside made it very comfortable. The food was phenomenal! I recommend the Grove Eggs Benedict! My order came out and the eggs were well done, when I mentioned it to the server he immediately took it away for it to be remade. The manager came out and apologized and comped the meal. Ribeye had a nice char on the outside and cooked medium on the inside (asked for medium rare, but no worries). A red wine shallot compound butter melted on top of the ribeye and gave it the tangy richness of butter with subtle red wine notes. Shallots provided a crunchy texture and extra umami with each bite. A garnish of crispy sweet potatoes provides additional texture. -Blue cheese mashed potatoes had a hint of rich blue cheese, but without the overpowering flavour that makes everyone cry, sacre bleu!. -Maple bacon brussels sprouts had a great caramelized burnt flavour and were crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. Sweetness of the maple syrup and bacon overwhelmed the dish and made it more sweet than savoury overall (-1 star). Imagine candied vegetables and you will know what I mean. -Jalapeno puree was relaxed and cool to the tongue but bit back with a spicy kick (like how I like my...) that attempted to balance the sweetness of the maple and bacon. Great addition to the El Paso brunch market! I have been eyeing for this place for a while, but it is a bit far from me and my husband is not a big fan of having breakfast outside unless we are traveling. Finally we got to come on the Christmas eve for brunch lunch. We had cappuccino, jicama pork belly taco and the grove eggs Benedict. The cappuccino was pretty ok for a brunch place. I won't come here just for coffee, but for a breakfast fast spot, it is pretty decent. I didn't try my husband's jicama pork belly taco, but according to him, it reminds him of the Vietnamese spring roll. Not bad, but nothing special - not as memorable as it sounds. As for my eggs Benedict - the eggs were poached perfectly. Spot on! The pork belly, like some others have commented, a little over cooked and under seasoned. I would think it might work better if they can marinate the pork belly first, or braise it the Chinese way, or spice it up a little bit in the sauce with gochujian or hoisin sauce maybe (definitely not sriracha please). Overall, I think it is a nice brunch spot with more potential. I would come back someday to try their sweet breakfast items. read more

Another great experience! Korean noodles were soooo good. Definitely a favorite. Sweet potato noodles with all the veggies and sauce were perfect. Buddha bowl with spinach instead of kale was also good. Although, I think it definitely needed more farro/quinoa. I felt like the bowl was mostly filled with spinach. We went on a Monday morning for breakfast. It was surprisingly busy, but were able to get a seat at the high top tables. We ordered the salmon and grove Benedict's. Both were very good! The egg was perfectly poached. The pork bellow was crispy on the outside and soft/chewy on the inside. The Hollandaise had a great flavor to it as well. I only wish the serving of the pork belly was a little bigger to match the size of the English muffin, but it was delicious nonetheless. I just left the El Paso Symphony Orchestra at the Plaza Theater and I am headed home totally starved! This happens to me often- I have season tickets! I remember Seinfeld review on Yelp for the Grove, which is about ten minutes from my house, so I pulled in and was smiling from ear to ear to see that they were still open and alive and bustling. The atmosphere is cool- looks like a grove with crystal and iron chandeliers hanging from the ceiling to give it the upscale vibe. I was greeted immediately; my greeter pulled out the table at the bench seat to make it easier for me to scoot in- how thoughtful! Then the menu came- lots of nice cocktails, wines and even Prosecco and champagne...very nice! There is something on the menu for everyone: burgers, not- burger burgers, salad bowls filled with healthful goodness and a really good brownie sundae - I am speaking from experience on the brownie sundae. If you are looking for a close to home date night spot or you have been out and are headed home but are a bit hungry- stop in and check out this great local spot. read more

My boyfriend thinks I am being generous with 3 stars versus 2, but the ambiance, staff, and speed of service are a factor, too. The place is cute and shares a patio space with the brewery (?) next door. Our server was nice and helpful and that all weighs in. I was having a super tomato day, so I went full on Bloody Mary (with gin-just a personal preference) and shushuka. The Bloody Mary had something unique in it-I can't place it, but it was a pleasant surprise! Not super strong, but came in a giant beer mug and I enjoyed the toppings. The bacon was so sweet and smoky and fantastic. My shuskuka was right on par with the other kinds I have had before, so that was good. I'd say just very tomato paste-y, but I feel like there could have been more flavors involved. Overall, nothing extraordinary, but still better than what I could make! Boyfriend had chicken and waffles, but wouldn't get them again. The chicken was overdone and, my super carnivore boyfriend thought the bacon in the waffle was overpowering (but very good, I thought), and didn't care for the jalapeño cheese sauce. He liked the idea of the jalapeño, but the sauce was too thick and the cheese was a bit unusual for the dish. (But props to a southwest restaurant offering such a southeast dish!!) read more

After taking our order she never returned. Not worth my time or money I would rather drive to McDonald's! I order the French toast, coffee and iced water. I never got the water my coffee was warm and the French toast tasted like a crusty cold side of bread. No flavor pale and extremely dry the syrup was cold and the margarine was nasty. This place is very hipster. Seating is limited and chairs are very uncomfortable (wood) unless you get the booth section-but the food is very good. Service is very friendly even when busy. We were a party of 6 and tried different dishes. We tried the cheese platter, pork belly tacos, side of French toast. All very good. I wasn't able to get pics of all the plates because we were hungry and some pics are already uploaded. I ordered the Border Burger, very good but a little dry (ordered it medium well) w fries. The fries are ok, they taste kinda like Sonics fries. My wife ordered the Beyond burger (well done) and it was good as per her but she ordered it with the grove potatoes which are better than the fries. I would come back to try other stuff! read more

I went with a girlfriend for the first time. The server was pleasant but their food was awful. We ordered a Bruschetta Trio didn't have enough fish and had more bread then anything it was $19. Then I ordered a Buddha Bowl and the dressing was awful. By then I had to say something. I told the server that the bowl was awful. He said you want an appetizer. I ordered sweet potatoes. At the end he ask someone if he could take the Buddha Bowl off my bill because I just taste it. Well guess what they charged me for everything. $48.22 I tipped the server because it wasn't his fault. Who ever is managing that restaurant doesn't know how to. Good luck if you decide to eat there! Not a happy customer and I won't ever eat there again. I won't recommend it either read more

The dirty napkin was a quick notice when you're sitting there wondering how long it'll take to at least get water. But I didn't notice the coffee under my table until staff asked me to lift my feet. Made me question the cleanliness of the plates and silver. Keep in mind. Still no water. A server started giving us random side dishes and took them back when she realized it was the wrong table. You can ask 3 different waiters for orange juice and still not get it. My burger was pretty good... my gf got chilaquiles, she wouldn't recommend them. Worst experience I've had in a while. The ambiance for Grove cafe is great. You can sit outside or inside depending on the weather and we have always had good service. I was looking for a place that serves matcha in a cup for that special feel (El Paso loves plastic cups, apparently!) and this is the only place I've found that does that. Unfortunately, their matcha misses the mark. The food items are numerous and there are multiple options. The only issue is they mask as healthier options but are not really and they do not have many dietary accommodations. I wish they had gluten-free, dairy-free options, even grain-free but they do not have any. Also, substitutions in the items have made me always leave food on the plate because it's so hard to stomach. For the ambience and the location, it's a good place to sit and have some fresh orange juice. The quality of the food and the price that comes with it just does not make it worthwhile. We have gone a few times and I think our last visit was the final one with another disappointing experience unless something changes. read more

I see the the restaurant has people already eating, assuming they got in at 8am and ordered why wasn't my food prepared before theirs? It boggles my mind that I have wait til past 9am to get food that should've been ready. The incompetence and lack of urgency left a sour taste for me to ever want to return. If you look at the photo I included you'll see them slowly taking their time assembling my order. Delicious, and a bit pricey. I got the jicama pork belly tacos ($12-overpriced in my opinion because of portion size) which were very good. I will definitely borrow the concept of a jicama taco shell (which is thinly sliced raw jicama). I personally would have enjoyed less sweet pork belly and more veggies in the tacos or a more substantial salad on the side. My partner got the organic chicken and waffles ($15-pretty reasonable) were real good as well, tasty, crispy, flavorful, the queso on the side and bacon in the waffles were a nice surprise. read more

The wait times on Sunday's are a little long but what brunch/breakfast place isn't ? Can also feel a little crowded on the inside as well, like the tables are just too close.
