Came in on a Saturday afternoon and waited about 45 minutes before getting sat. It was pretty busy inside and was glad to be on the patio as it was quieter and less packed. I was looking forward to trying their drinks but we aren't from El Paso and didn't know they don't take vertical IDs I don't have the updated horizontal Texas ID so beware of that. Our server was very nice and I really enjoyed the food and outdoor dining. The only thing I would suggest is adding more sauce to the chilaquiles they were a bit on the dry side but overall still enjoyed everything. read more

Our new favorite brunch spot in El Paso! My boyfriend & I came by for the first time a few weeks ago and had an amazing experience. First of all, the atmosphere is adorable - I loved the decor, wall paintings, and colors. We started with 2 drinks, a mocha and a cappuccino. The mocha was one of the best I've had - creamy & chocolate-y while maintaining its distinctive coffee flavor. The cappuccino was about average. For my entree I had to go with the classic chicken & waffles, and wow I was so glad I did. It was delicious! The waffle was perfect. The chicken was just slightly above average, but I did really appreciate how crispy the breading was. This dish also comes with potatoes (super flavorful) and jalapeño cheese, which I opted to get on the side. Of course not the healthiest, but the cheese actually went really well with the potatoes. My boyfriend ordered the full English breakfast which we both liked as well. I was the most surprised by the unique taste of the mushrooms! I also thought the sausage was really good, and the eggplant & tomatoes (which I don't usually think of as breakfast foods) went well with the rest of our order. This is probably the second most favorite spot my wife and I like to come to. We've been here numerous times and are finally getting around to reviewing it. We love the vibe, and as another Yelper put it, it has a California/New York feel to it. Well my wife is from Cali and we love New York, so that must be it . Every time we come, she gets the Korean noodles and let me tell you, they are super delish! Normally she gets it with chicken, but since we've been trying to eat more plant-based (you know New Year's resolutions), she got it with the tofu, which was breaded and fried like little popcorn chickens. It was surprising good. Made with sweet potato noodles, sautéed shitaki, sweet onion, carrots, micro greens, and toasted sesame. I had the same, and we both shared an order of sweet potato pancakes as our desert. We always have to get these when we come. Candied pecans, and maple syrup top this perfectly. I've had other items on the menu like the Buddha bowl, Buffalo chicken sandwich, green chilaquiles, kimchi fried rice, and they are all superb. Even their raspberry tea is delightful. We have been here several times before and have loved each of our visits. We were extremely impressed last time we were there because we ordered pick-up and they went above and beyond and ran it out to our car so we didn't have to go in. This time was a different experience and it makes me sad that they have changed their service. Food: We ordered the Border Burger ($13) with sweet potato fries ($1 extra) and the Crab Cakes Egg Benedict ($13). The Border burger was absolutely appalling. They abstained from adding the pico and the jalapenos, kinda what makes it a "border burger", so I ate an avocado cheeseburger. On the plus side the sweet potato fries were really good. The Crab Cakes Egg Benedict came with diced potatoes. It was a small crab cake added to the regular eggs benedict and the crab cake just wasn't very good. I don't think I'll come back, but I would recommend getting the Grove Eggs Benedict rather than paying the $2 more for the Crab Cakes. Service: Last time we ordered here, we were so impressed that they ran out our food that we decided to come back, specifically because of that service. Instead when we called the restaurant when we arrived, the employee was rude when answering the phone and when she ran out our food she told us off for not coming in. Since they must have changed their policy, we clearly should have gone in, but we were unaware and had not been informed while on the call. If she had acted with even a modicum of professionalism, I would have absolutely apologized and gone in. TLDR: They completely messed up my burger, my wife didn't like her food, and they were very rude. 2 stars only because of our past good experiences. My husband and I visited Grove Brunch in the early afternoon on a Saturday. It was very busy, but we were still able to be seated immediately. The tables were very quickly turned over and cleaned. Super efficient! The staff was also very friendly and professional. Keep in mind they do not have reservations before 5pm so there may be a wait if you visit during a busy time. The restaurant itself is super cute and trendy. It was clean, nicely decorated, and well lit. It was a little crowded, but nothing that was bothersome or distracting. I ordered an iced latte and the Grove Eggs Benedict. The latte was a good standard latte. Decent quality, no complaints! They also have pressed juices, alcohol options, other coffee options, and the standard brunch drink options. The Grove Eggs Benedict is basically your standard eggs benedict except it has pork belly as the protein. The pork belly was a little tough, but the benedict was otherwise good. The potatoes that came with the benedict were tasty. Salty and crispy without being overdone. My husband had a margarita and crab cake Benedict, which he really enjoyed. His only complaint was his potatoes weren't well seasoned. The noodles were mushy so minus one star BUT the sauce and veggies had really good flavor and there were a lot of veggies on the dish. The shrimp that I added were also excellent. Cooked perfectly. Between the shrimp and veggies I was pretty satisfied but definitely avoiding pasta dishes here in the future. Over cooked pasta is just a no no. Cute little spot in west El Paso shopping plaza. The inside has a retro chic vibe & lots of seating inside and on the patio. The weather was perfect so the patio was full, so we sat inside & it was still a great vibe. The server took our order right away & was very polite and gave us recommendations for brunch. My friend had the French toast with fruit & she said it was the best french toast in EP. I had the spinach pasta and it was packed with lots of spices and flavor. The noodle has a great texture for spinach and the chicken was juicy. I gave it 3 stars because it took one hour to get the check (even when I got up to ask another server for assistance) then another 15 mins to cash out. Then the server charge my card the wrong check. I understand restaurants are short staffed but waiting on hour for a check just isn't acceptable. Overall great food, great vibes but need faster service. My mom and I had a fantastic brunch here yesterday! My brother-in-law recommended this haute place, and my mom and I ventured over here right around noon. We did not have to wait long for a table in the middle of the dining room. Our server was cheerful and explained the menu. There were so many dishes I wanted to try but alas, we were just two. We ended up getting four items. My mom ordered the avocado toast which was topped with arugula and cherry tomatoes with smoked Gouda. She loved it! We shared the charred edamame which was a huge hit! I ordered the buchingae (Korean veggie pancake) and the Annie's eggplant, which was nasu agebitashi (Japanese style eggplant with grated daikon, onions and leeks in soy broth). I was surprised to see this style of dish here. It was oishi! The brunch menu alone is huge but there are also bowls, shareable, and chef specials that all sounded great! I was able to get seated (at the bar) very quickly despite going on a Sunday for brunch. Service - Seated at the bar. Everyone was super friendly and service was quick. Food - Had the pancakes, benedict, and pork belly tacos. All were just decent with not much to talk about. The pork belly tacos with jicama was interesting and tasted refreshing, but I didn't find it very fitting for a brunch item. Overall, Grove is cute with an interesting take on brunch and korean inspired entrees. The food itself was disappointing despite the hype I've heard around this place. I always look for awesome brunch and although the decor and atmosphere is there, the food fell short. I typically go for eggs Benedict when I can't make up my mind and that's what I did here. I was not at all impressed with presentation or flavor. The sangria was good and made before us ($36 for carafe). The coffee was good, strong as I prefer and the pancakes, well they're pancakes and they didn't disappoint as a pancake. I wish I had photographed the menu, because honestly I think they're over promising (and charging) and under delivering. Now let's talk about the thing we don't often think of but should. The ladies restroom was hideous, unkept, dirty and the flush handle was broken so I had to manually maneuver it. I told the manager (Vanessa or Victoria something with a V) and she acknowledged it, when my friend asked if it had been fixed (before going) our server asked the manager and she said yes, wrong. The restroom was not fixed and she too had to manually do it and mind you the restroom continued to be filthy. She seemed unbothered by it but she shouldn't be, what's the point of having a great decor if your restroom is a mess. This alone will keep me away. I wouldn't go out of my way to come again unfortunately, you can make your own judgement call this is just mine. It's a great place to have brunch. We haven't tried lunch or dinner but the staff and environment is so welcoming we will be going back soon to both in the near future. The restaurant has great choices and the food not only looks great but is prepared and cooked to a perfection. The staff was amazing beginning to end. The big Boss lady and I were passing through town and decided to have breakfast here. Since it was a SAT morning, the joint was jumping! I ordered a black coffee and the boss a latte (oat milk of course)..she loved it! My coffee came out luke warm and by chance, a waiter asked how everything was, so I mentioned the non-hotness of my joe and he brought me a piping hot one. Score!
