It's 2025 now and I've spent a couple thousand on repair and maintenance over the years. Philip is super busy with projects but always takes my car in for whatever it needs and returns times are great. Philip always gives me plenty of options on parts to fix it, and also explains what went bad and how. Primarily just needed an oil change and filters changed out. Dropped it off in the morning and it was done by the afternoon. My regular mechanic wasn't answering his phone & that's when I walked to the 1st auto shop, who sent me to the garage, who literally said, "You have to get it here yourself & then I can't even LOOK at it for a week". Then further up 10th to a mechanic who couldn't be bothered. To across the street to Sals. I spoke with Edwin who guessed that I might be out of gas, and trusted me enough to borrow his gas tank. I offered my driver's license, I offered to pay, & he refused. He pointed me in the direction of the gas station & off I went. Long story short - I got the car to start & returned the gas can to Sal's. Edwin thinks it's because I never drive my car, so I'll definitely bring him my car for the tune-up. And you should too! My left signal light was blinking really fast and my remote wasn't working. I left the car with them for two hours as I went to the famous Deli Board for a sandwich. When I returned he said my car is leaking oil and you barely had any left. He lift my car to show me the leak, and it was bad. I left my car with him for a week. He opened up my engine, took pictures and sent them to me so I would have an understanding of the condition my car was in. He finish all the repairs. And now I cannot believe how well it is running again. It has torque again. My car is little old and broken like me, but it has got way more years to go. BTW my remote was broken and the blinker light just didn't have enough contact. They fixed it with a plier or something. Free of charge.

I had a bolt broken inside my alternator, and I was extremely nervous about attempting to remove it myself because I didn't want to damage the aluminum housing or mess up the internal threads. I had already spent what little money I had on the alternator, and being currently unemployed after getting laid off, I honestly didn't have much money left to spare. I was willing to simply pick Carlos's brain and learn the proper way to remove the bolt myself, even if that was the worst-case scenario. But fortunately, Carlos had the heart and compassion to actually help me. He was incredibly kind, understanding, and compassionate about my situation, and he went out of his way to help me when he absolutely didn't have to. Carlos, I truly cannot thank you enough. The night before I brought my car in my car wouldn't start after work, so i towed it home. He wasn't in the day I brought my car in, I needed help, assuming everyone is capable and work as a unit, I entrusted my vehicle with a guy name Ivan to check my car out. He told me it's my alternator. I bought after maker used alternator that didn't work well, I bought a brand new sensor from Oreillys that didn't work either, so I ended up buying a brand new battery sensor from Honda, then i bought a brand new alternator from Oreillys and that didn't work either, so I ended up buying a brand new alternator from Honda, which cost around $700 I went to Honda twice, loved my experience there, it was expensive but I felt like they cared enough to educate you. Honda Colma, CA. I took several trips to Oreillys buying and returning parts. I even bought a brand new battery just because it's getting low anyway and that wasn't even part of the plan. So i ended up reconnecting with the Manager of this place named Juan, he ended up replacing the brand new honda alternator for me, to find out there's a burnt out fuse due to replacing alternators a few times, he took care of that, then he told me the "fuse box" needs to replaced, so we got that done too at the same time. all of this was happening back in late February, then March. I waited this long to write this review, for a reason, i wanted to know if something will go wrong again. About 2 weeks ago, I was at the gas station and my car wouldn't start, maybe because i left the key in the ignition even though my car was off, so i got it jump started at the gas station, everything was fine. I was told by the mechanic of this place to bring it if it happens again. Last Friday i was out of town at the gas station again, my car wouldn't start, so i waited for maybe 5 min, and it started. this morning, it won't start, i asked my neighbors to jump start and it wouldn't do anything, it has the clicking noise everyone tells me it's the starter. I called the manager of this place like hey, I've mentioned this to you guys twice, did you guys not check the starter and he said no, and there's no way to check it. I'm just over this place, i'm asked to go back there next morning, but F that, I - 0% trust this place now, i'm going to 415 mechanix at this point, they have been so helpful with me on the phone. After they read this, I hope they learn, and educate themselves even more, because there's too much back and forth. 415 mechanix had fixed my starter for me, really nice guy, honest and direct, with communication skills, I suggest that place. Andy is the owner and he's great. I'm never going back to this place, I was patient for as long as I could, I was calm, but i'm better off elsewhere.
