I brought my car here because my regular guest [Susie] at the bar told me, "take a picture of this," "if you need anything to be fixed on your car go to this guy." So, I did. My left signal light was blinking really fast and my remote wasn't working. I left the car with them for two hours as I went to the famous Deli Board for a sandwich. When I returned he said my car is leaking oil and you barely had any left. He lift my car to show me the leak, and it was bad. I left my car with him for a week. He opened up my engine, took pictures and sent them to me so I would have an understanding of the condition my car was in. He finish all the repairs. And now I cannot believe how well it is running again. It has torque again. My car is little old and broken like me, but it has got way more years to go. You're going to pull up and think why am I in this messy garage but let me tell you Eddy and his team are extremely nice, fair priced, and knowledgeable. I came in about noon during a road trip with some noises and they were able to accurately identify the problems within an hour or so. I had my Tesla 3 rear panel dinged (parking incident) and it was ungodly expensive to repair (another good reason to not buy a tesla) when I took it for a quote to multiple Tesla authorized centers. My co-worker recommended Horizon. Went there. Eddy was awesome and gave me a quote that was half the price of anyone else. After running over a foreign object in massive pool of standing water on I-280 during the height of an atmospheric river storm, my car was making an extremely loud screeching noise. I pulled over on King Street and called serveral nearby shops, none were willing to let me limp the car over to diagnose the problem on a busy Friday afternoon. One, however, recommended calling Horizon. Their Yelp reviews were excellent so I called, and Service Manager Eddy Tran picked up promptly and welcomed me to bring the car in. Eddy was extremely pleasant and accommodated us despite having a full bay. He got us out of the downpour, diagnosed and fixed the problem (a slightly tweaked exhaust heat shield contacting the driveshaft) and charged us a fair price. Horizon Auto Repair is the only auto repair shop I trust. After going to multiple shops, this shop was the most efficient and has the most reasonable prices for their services. I brought it in my 2006 E46 M3 to reinforce the rear subframe, and I got my car within a week. I have tracked my M3 multiple times and it is still running good as new. After driving 7 hours up to SF I noticed my Honda Civic sounding like a creaky pirate ship when I turned my wheel. After a quick chat with my mechanic in LA (shoutout to Honcura in Glendale) he told me it was probably a worn out axle and I wasn't in danger of my car dying on the freeway... yet. I love Eddy! This guy knows how to do business and keep customers coming back. I found Horizon on Yelp on a Saturday afternoon. Drove my sh*tty SUV in and looking for help on fixing my low beam light. Eddy approached me in a very friendly way, looked at my lights carefully, and suggested me to have my special light bulbs replaced by normal light bulbs to save money if I was going to get rid of my car soon. He quoted $45 for a pair of light bulbs and waived his labor fee which usually costs $75 (he claimed), which was such a great deal comparing to another quote I received at $150. I immediately said yes and had one of Eddy's men to fix that for me. It was done in 5 mins. Super efficient and I left with my car in peace! Not sure what happened to the review I posted. My car did not start so I had to get it towed to have it checked. Eddy was able to help me despite the fact that I showed up when they were just about to wrap up and go home (it was late). My car broke down in Oakland on a Saturday at 1PM which is the start of what could be a very stressful experience because 1) I live in SF, 2) most auto shops are closed or close early on the weekends, and 3) there are fewer tow companies available on weekends and/or willing to tow across the Bay Bridge. I called Horizon Auto Repair (based on their good reviews on Google and Yelp) and Eddy answered the phone immediately - he reassured me that I could have my car towed to his shop and they would be open until 5PM (as their hours are listed). The fee for running diagnostics is waived if repairs are needed, going toward the total amount for repairs. My car was towed by AAA across the Bay Bridge. After his techs ran diagnostics on my car, he showed me the codes, provided me with recommendations for repairs, and listed the cost for parts and labor. There was a transmission code that could have been taken advantage of as a very costly repair, but he explained to me what the signs of transmission problem would be and that he did not find functional signs that the car needed that replacement, which I agreed with. For someone who has never had to deal with car issues before, he put me at ease with being honest, transparent, and answering all of my questions. I was able to pick up my car on the next business day (Monday). I will be returning here in the future. read more

I normally leave reviews when I don't want others to go through the same bad experience as I have, unless they are exceptional like these guys are! Which is rare! These guys truly made a day that could have turned stressful, Completely in control. I don't understand cars, so I'm usually skeptical as to whether they are overcharging me. One of the most genuine and honest mechanics I've EVER come across. He diagnosed my car and instead of trying to make money and name all the things that were wrong, he suggested I trade it in.
