I order it with everything and ask for it "well done." While I still wish the potatoes were crispy, that would only make it 11 stars. It's already a perfect ten! It's small so seating at the counter is limited but service is fast so we usually go a seat quickly. The tacos and tostadas were my favorite. What I love most is the counter with barstools by the kitchen area, reminds me of old diners when I was young. I had a ham egg and cheese with ketchup and it was so good. The roll was perfect. She ordered at least four different types of sandwiches, although lamented that they didn't have pastrami in stock. The Mexican half of our family claims that these are the best tacos and tortas they have had in NYC. The chorizo is probably their favorite. Their salsa is really really good and their preparation is always fresh. It is true, they have really fresh avocados. Even in winter. They have the treats that you need to go along with your dinner. They have some fun Mexican groceries, too. I wish they had some agua fresca, but I think I'd prefer they focus on what they do best and not worry about doing everything. Their delivery is fast. I will say occasionally they close early so always call ahead to check if they are still opened. They are a small family business, so things can come up. I love being able to see my food being prepared on the grill, as it heightens my anticipation. It was prepared very quickly. I ordered one chorizo and egg taco and one lengua taco. For anyone who doesn't know: lengua is cow tongue. Do not be afraid. It is delicious. I promise. All the tacos came garnished with cilantro, onion, avocado, and salsa verde. SO glad that I did. I ordered french toast with cheese eggs & bacon and a side of avocado. I looked up on the wall menu and saw "bacon, egg, scallions, & cheese on a roll" so I asked for scallions to be added to my eggs...no problem, we're going to hook it up for you" was the response I got. Can you say SUPERB customer service??! Food was very good. I was grateful for the texas toast style french toast. The bacon was excellent...wish there was more.
