There was a party in the other room that was very loud, and the sound echoed throughout the restaurant, along with the loud music. Thankfully, the restaurant was kind enough to lower the music for us, and the other party ended up leaving within about 20 minutes of our arrival. Let me start by saying the staff was very attentive and friendly, which definitely helped make the experience better. Most of the food was pretty good. I wasn't a fan of the arepa con queso, but the arepitas de choclo were awesome! The portions were a good size, and I felt the prices were reasonable and not overpriced. For dessert, I preferred the tres leches over the flan. Overall, we had a pretty good experience, and I'm glad we gave this place a try.

I called the restaurant and the only option was to credit me for what was missing. I appreciated the credit but would have more so appreciated them sending me the missing item. Second, the empanadas we tried were very oily and salty. The meat flavor was good but i couldn't eat these again given how unhealthy they were. A baked option would be better. FInally, the tacos. The restaurant is named for tacos after all. The carne asada tacos were pretty good. 4 out of 5 stars. Fresh ingredients, good quality meat. But the taco shell of the gringo disintegrated before a bite was taken. They do have a lot of taco options so that's a plus if you plan to visit. Given the above I will stick to other local options when a taco craving hits.

For my order I went with a trio of tacos - al pastor, coconut shrimp (both of these were listed as signature items) and the crispy fish. The Al Pastor was the best of them, but overall the tacos were on the sweet side probably due to the condiments and additions of onions and corn that were pickled. Glad they have hot sauces on the table to bring need heat. I got a side salad with this - I would say this is bit of afterthought lettuce with 3 pieces of cucumber and tomato each there wasn't much to it. I tried the Carne Asada bowl - again a bit on the sweet side, but they give a good amount of food. They use a cheese blend and I think one of them is a parmesan because it tasted a bit out of place. We ordered a piece of tres leches and it had a maple flavor that was unexpected. It took me a second, but I placed that it reminded me of a discontinued Entenmann's cake that I think was maple walnut iced cake. If you remember that and miss it then get this. I enjoyed this non-traditional version. Although not the best Mexican food I would come back here and perhaps try other items on the menu since it seems inventive, but I will keep my expectations in check because the execution doesn't always hit the mark.
