The service was excellent and the place is clean for a shop where you order at the counter and eat outside. The carne asada tacos were fresh and the hot sauce was perfect. Along US1 in Dania is this hidden gem of a taco stand. It used to be the former home of Dairy Belle ice cream. Lots of parking and covered outdoor seating. Tacos taste fresh. A great place to have a quick taco lunch if you are in the area . Give them a try. read more

Guacamole station serves authentic Mexican street food in Dania Beach. The restaurant is small but it has a big parking lot and outdoor seating. The menu is not too big but there are still many types of tacos, quesadillas, and other street food items to try like their corn. I have tried their mushroom tacos and quesadillas, both of which I enjoyed. The food portions are small but they are not that expensive (ranging from 4-7 dollars). I wish they had a larger menu with more options, but for now, I am satisfied with what they have since it comes out quickly and is fresh. Oh yeah! What a great little find. No inside dining. Outside only. I ordered the beef taco and the mushroom quesadilla. They give you a little beeper when your order is ready. I'll be the first to admit, although I love Mexican food I'm not really a street taco connoisseur. I decided to check out Guacamole Station (old Dairy Belle building located at 118 N Federal Hwy) in Dania Beach. I tried the chicken taco, steak taco and the chicken quesadilla. The shining star of the meal was most definitely the quesadilla and the flavorful sauces. The tacos were good but a little dry and lacking something I just can't put my finger on. This unassuming spot was the Dairy Belle for years and when I saw it served what looked like just to go guacamole that seemed like something a guacamole lover like me should check out. No, it's not just guacamole, but it's the best guacamole I have had in Florida. House made chips and heavy creeeamy guacamole, I swear I thought I was in California! No fooling it's really good. They have a full Mexican menu so we grabbed a couple of carne asada tacos, a quesadilla "Gringa" with chicken al Pastor, pineapples and other things, a Mexican corn off the cob, in addition to the killer "traditional" guacamole. I should have paid attention to the lack of cars and customers. It was Lunch hour rush in Dania Beach, and no one was rushing to get to this place. My two taco's and a canned soda was $9.96. I even gave a $2 tip before I saw my order. The girl saw me giving a tip, and my service DID NOT IMPROVE! The tacos were terrible :( the only flavor was lime. The portions were the size you would feed a 1 year old baby! I grew up in Southern California, I know good Mexican food! I told my sister about my experience, and she said "How do you screw up tacos?" I told her: "come here and see how they can". My experience cost me $12, left me very hungry, and the best part of the meal was the cold soda. You would think in this time of high inflation when a business is needing every customer possible, that they would go out of their way to give a good experience to those giving them their money. The Guacamole Station is literally right across the street from the hotel my family and I were staying in during our visit to Florida, so of course I had to check out the food! The street tacos is what caught my attention, and signs of homemade guacamole. So I went and ordered different items off of the menu: Quesadillas, Corn, Chips and Guacamole, and Steak Street Taco. The food was ok, I definitely wished the meat on the taco was seasoned a lot more, just tasted bland. I did enjoy the guacamole! OMG - the BEST EVER! My adult daughter and I live in Michigan. We discovered Guacamole Station several years ago while in Ft. Lauderdale. We talk about it fairly often - it's THAT good - and never fail to visit when we're in the area. The owner is a very friendly man and the food is amazing. Points for freshness, the poblano taco being nice and tasty and possibly being made by real Mexicans?, but meh. I understand inflation is real but $15 for two tacos and two tablespoons of guacamole and chips is madness. An authentic taqueria would never. The total would have been amiss if not for the following: The chicken taco had dry chicken (that looked so) and was underseasoned. Tortillas are great but double is a lot for the small portion of ingredients they hold. The guac is wildly underseasoned. I ended up adding the green salsa to it for more punch. Chips had a bit of an intense, less fresh, crunch for me. I was not given the side of serranos I was promised. If I can make or find better tacos for $1.50, I know better than to return. read more

I go by this place several times a day since they opened and tried it for the first time yesterday. I had the steak taco and it was outstanding. I never stopped because I never see any activity or crowds, I actually stopped only to try it as I had to satisfy my curiosity. Listen, There's nothing authentic in making Mexican food if there's no flavor in the food. Like not even a salt taste. Although they build themselves as authentic there is a few things missing and the portions are small for the prices however the food is very delicious and very good . I really have no complaints other than the portions of meat could be a little bit more however they were generous with everything else. Location is good, and parking and access is easy ... thats a plus. They staff is polite and attentive, and the food came out quickly. More pluses. However, these tacos need a little love... If you are whatever about tacos, you'll probably be happy, if you are a die hard Mexican taco truck connoisseur, this is NOT Los Angeles or Oakland, CA in quality, at least not yet. Am I the only person who thinks excellent Mexican food is near nill in Miami? ...I digress. Their barbacoa meat was under salted, a bit dry, and lacked that deep red color and semi-stewed effect you expect with this style protein. The carne asada was average, not great or terrible, this was more properly salted, but didn't blow me away with the heavy marinated steak and caramelized crisp from a flat top you expect with small street taco style creation. Portions of meat per taco were fair though. While their cilantro and chopped onions to top were fresh and on point, the tortillas were flour and thick, not the traditional corn thin soft shell you expect. They serve each taco on two flour tortillas, I think because they are flour one would do, but that's just my opinion. They offer limes and a small side of salsa with your tacos, and have an extra spicy habanero sauce which I appreciated, but it would be great if they had the traditional red and green sauces for customers to use with ease while eating (or some variation). As others have noted, you do pay for most of the establishments extras. It is what it is. I think to really make this a killer taco spot, which North Miami needs badly (there are no traditional street taco go-tos imo around here that are A+ ... seriously, none), and a niche to make A LOT of money, they have to offer more protein styles for taco types (or at least seasonal ones?) and adjust hours for when people want tacos ... weekends/nightlife time honestly is when people want them. This is my experience with tacos anyway ... Don't know if Dania has rules about this, but if not ... offer late night options and watch the lines form GS. I think the capacity to make this a great taco spot is there, but a couple operational tweaks to make it feel and taste more authentic, adjusting operation hours, and offering more options in tacos would be great. If you're going to do essentially just street tacos, they've got to be a home run, id go back, but I wouldn't seek it out. 3 tacos were over $10, not crazy, but not cheap either. lastly, can we get some horchata with these tacos? Ordered two chicken tacos, chips & salsa. Chicken was dry and very under-seasoned. The flavors were there with the cilantro, pineapple and onion, but it was overall a very dry taco in itself.
