I was excited to try their pupusas, I had been craving some , I was going to order online and pick up but there was a fee so I decided to call in my order for pick up, online it said a price. When I got to the restaurant, it wasn't too friendly & I was being overcharged, I asked her how much were the pupusas because on their website it had a different price, and I showed her the screen shot she then tells me she couldn't see she has bag eyesight, and then tells me the price went up, their menu prices were also taped up with tape. I did not like that all the pupusas were mixed up together & I got 3 different toppings, the size was pretty good but had no flavor & were mostly masa. Oh man! I went here for the first time the other day and ordered 2 pupusas and a torta Now I have to bring my wife back! This place was delicious and the portions are filling for SURE! Yes yes yes. Their pupusas are delicious! Saw a tiktok about this place, that's been down the street from me, on Tyler. I came to try their pupusas and they did not disappoint. The size is massive, flavor is great ! The slaw, sauce and I think chili oil/sauce? they have on the side is just SO DELICIOUS. I don't have any other words to describe it. Another visit to The Guac, and this time was BEST of all! I called in an order of 11. The patient lady could not speak English but fortunately I speak pupusa. The pupusas were larger and thicker than before, super hot, and some of the insides came out and made amazing crispy spots. Yum. By far some of the work customer service! They aren't the best at providing customer service but they have cheap dollar pupusas. If you call in and you know it'll be an hour before they're ready and you'll have to wait an hour to pay for them then it's worth your trip considering they are only a dollar. Went here on a Sunday evening just before 6 pm. There were two women in the back/kitchen that I could see and I stood there for a good 5 minutes yelling "hello" and waving my arms to get their attention and they completely ignored me. Not to mention the door has a loud ring when you enter. No music was playing. Was looking forward to trying some pupusas but to the owner of this restaurant, you need to check on your employees. I love their papusas, they have a good deal on Wednesday only 1$ on select kinds, their horchata is tastes homemade like when my grandma used to make it. Their asada fries are super delicious and very inexpensive and their burritos are super fat lol Tina is very kind, please remember to tip her for her exceptional service. This place is legit for pupusas. They are GOOD. I asked them once how they were made and I got a 10 minute class with the back cooks, plus they sold me some masa and cheese to make my own pupusas at home!! I give a 4-star rating only because the food takes a little too long to arrive (but hey it's handmade!) and the layout of the restaurant is a little sloppy.
