What's better than one Guadalupe's Mexican Grill on Dupont street? Finding a SECOND location entirely by accident! A couple weeks ago we were in Fort Wayne for the weekend and finally visited the Guadalupe's Mexican Grill on Fort Leo Rd. I'd planned to go back on this visit, but Christmas with the Family was going to take up a lot of time. A last-minute visit to Kroger landed us in the parking lot. My empty stomach started talking to we decided to drive around the parking lot to see if there was somewhere we could grab a quick dinner and *BLAMMO*, there's another Guadalupe's! Honestly, Guadalupe's stands out from the "assemble as you go down the line" Mexican eateries. They have an impressive amount of food options. Chicken, steak, barbacoa, carnitas, tofu, veggies, chorizo, ground beef, and chicken barbacoa are the protein options! It's impressive. you can chose a burrito, a bowl, tacos, a salad, or nachos. All with add-ins like veggies, cheese(s) and sauce(s). The Hot White Queso is Top Notch! For sides you can always add Chips & Salsa/Queso/Guac (for a slight upcharge, natch), as well as beans and/or rice. On both of our visits to both locations there was someone actively preparing fresh veggies. Even at 7:30 in the evening, he was cutting and slicing and dicing. I went with my favorite (Chicken burrito with a whole lot of stuff in it) and a fountain drink. They also have a number of Jarritos® as well was beers...in fact, they have their own Mexican Lager! They also have their own bottled hot sauce. I'm glad to say that their hot sauce is GOOD! The prices are quite reasonable and the staff is friendly. My wife and I both noticed how clean the restaurant was, and how quickly they cleared tables that had emptied. I'm done with this place. I used to go several times a week for over a year but then they started "losing" the points I earned with every purchase, points that are supposed to give discounts toward future purchases. Except my points kept mysteriously disappearing every time I went in. When I finally started asking about it, I was blown off several times. Proud to be the first reviewer of this establishment. Was excited when this place first opened. It's close to home and I love Mexican food! Figured It would be good seeing how it's a Bandidos owned restaurant. Jimmie Schindler (original owner) would be rolling in his grave if he knew. Lets give this the most honest review I can give it. I will start with the positives of the place here on Dupont Road. They do have fresh ingredients here the lettuce, beans , guacamole and other toppings are fresh and pretty good. The restaurant is nice. Now lets get to the ugly.... I ordered a burrito with Carnitas for the meat choice also ordered a small chips with a small QUESO sauce to go for $16.50 The meat choices are chicken, steak, Barbacoa, Carnitas, Tofu, Veggies, Chorizo, Ground Beef ,Chicken Barbacoa and you can have any of these meats put on the Entree selection of your choice listed below. ENTRÉE SELECTIONS Burrito Bowl Tacos Salad Nachos The meat I got Carnitas was a very small portion a half hearted scoop. I could not taste the meat in the burrito because it didn't have much on it. The lettuce and everything else was plentiful and the burrito is pretty big, but where in the hell is the meat? My gripe here is I spent $16.50 for a Mexican meal and hardly got any meat. I can go to any Mexican restaurant in town for $16.50 (probably less actually) I can get alot of food with alot of meat. Example a pick 3 combo, 2 burritos and 1 enchilada rice and beans no extra charge for chips and salsa. Literally 5 times more meat. This place is an illusion making you think you're getting a lot but I assure you, you are not. It's kind of a rip off for the money spent. To top it off the girl working here was rude when I did not leave her a tip. It was a carry out order at a fast food Mexican restaurant. Do you leave a tip at Chipotle ? or at Moes? or at Taco Bell? I sure don't. They leave a tip cup out right in front of your face and they ask if you'd like to leave a tip on the screen when placing an order by card. I declined! I don't leave tips at fast food restaurants. I did not dine in and nobody brought me drinks or any of that jazz. It's fast food you get no tip. Don't need to be snotty about it... Already overpaying for the food as is. I liked Bandidos , but this place hopefully flops. Bandidos use to brag about huge portions and they did hook it up nice, now it's the opposite. Nice new little gimmicky place where you spend a lot and get very little for your money. I don't want to fill up on lettuce what am I a rabbit? Nice little racket. I'm sure the place does an ok business because People don't realize they are being bent over the table. read more

Ordered a burrito and taco salad. Got average amount of meat and other ingredients. My main complaint would be the price. No atmosphere, no service. No attitude, but no pleasantries either from staff. They don't care whether you are there or not. Almost $30 for two. I can go across the street to Cebolla's and get two orders of fajitas for little over $20 and change. And they have big portions. Along with plenty of chips and salsa. read more

The place has the best nachos in the city. I apologize in advance i don't have pictures. This was a takeout order. I have eaten at this local three times before writing this review. They advertise no can, microwave, and freezer. You can taste the freshest. No pictures. Will update later. read more

If you want fresh quick Mexican food this is your place. Why support chipotle when you can support local. Best pico and guac in town and don't get me started on the pineapple water it's to die for. read more

Pretty disappointing. For starters it was cold. My burrito had the wrong meat and none of the cheese I asked for. My husband couldn't tell if his meat order was correct as we couldn't find any meat in it. We placed a pick up order and were told it would be ready at 7pm. We arrived at 6:45 thinking we would have to wait. That would have been fine but the food was ready and it was already cold. The guac is really good. read more

This was my first and last time going to this place. I was hoping there would be some friendly folks ready to make some food but instead got the complete opposite. I walked in and the older guy there didn't say a word to me after looking me in my face and the other two female employees followed suit didn't look like they cared to help me at all. They continued putting things away , until I asked where do I begin ? Follow that up with speaking about someone in a language they can understand I.e Spanish they proceed to speak about not wanting to help me as if I didn't understand, in addition the lady helping me continuously kept wiping her nose and didn't change gloves not once ! I am currently burning the germs off of my food as this is being typed. And all for $16 yeah I'll be going to Taco Bell before I go there again it's a bad spot honestly you can get the same food cheaper and better service at any other Mexican establishment around the DuPont Area I would not recommend. Bad service and terrible pricing for the food. Just ate the burrito I ordered and as expected it was bad. I know my one review won't change nothing but hear me out. That burrito was not good nothing was seasoned !!! Nothing it seriously tasted like the bland rice and sautéed vegetables barley could taste the meat I don't even remember what meat I got because it was so little.
