The restaurant is spotless; I noticed the vents, light fixtures, and shelves all dusted and clean. The decor is inviting, and everything felt well‑maintained. Fast friendly service, taking time to answer all my questions. The cheese crisp was exactly how I remembered it! Crispy, hot and ultra cheesy! Complimentary chips and salsa were great too. I loved the tamale but the relleno, not so much. Next time I'll try to get different cheese on the inside. I wasn't fond of was seemed like velvets. Love this place! read more

We stopped at this restaurant every time we are heading to Showlow. I normally give it five stars but today the food just wasn't the same. I had the number three, which was a shredded beef, taco, cheese enchilada, and red beef tamale. Normally the tacos are nice and crispy. Today it was just a little soggy. The tamale was much saltier than usual and the salsa was not its usual sweetness. The hot salsa was extremely hot today! My husband had the regular burro. He said it was good but not quite as good as usual. We like to get the flour tortilla chips, but did not get any today. We got the corn tortilla chips which tasted like they were stale. We've been to this restaurant several times and this is just not their normal. We will definitely be back again read more

It is an authentic Mexican restaurant. The nachos are homemade along with the salsa. We loved the green, a little spicy but very tasty! My husband had the green chili and beef chimichanga, and I had the chicken chimichanga. Both were delicious! Beans and rice on the side, sour cream and guacamole on top. Awesome!! read more

We walked in and made eye contact with an employee but not greeted or acknowledged. Odd. But after buzzing by us a few more times she said "seat yourself". So we did. A young child walked over and asked us how many. Then came back and slid the menus on the table. Then the same young child brought waters to the table and spilled them our way. Food was good. Local family owned and delightful. The chips and salsa were fresh! The margaritas (frozen) was so refreshing and delicious! We all got something different. Me personally I for red menudo with a side of beans. It was great. Seems to me they use some good quality tripe and hominy. My husband got a green chili cheese crisp. It had actual green chili pork sauce over the top. I can't say enough how delicious it was! This is our middle point to meet family for our kids. This will be our new go to. Food a bit on the greasy side. It's more Mexican American (Southwest) food. Not really the type of food you would find in actual Mexico. The enchiladas are pretty tasty. Lots of sauce. Beans and rice rice were just right. Overall a lot of food for the money. An ok place for Southwest food in Globe. read more

A friend and I were just passing through on the way back to Tucson and decided to stop in at this place since we always pass it. Food was delicious. Pricing was very good too. I couldn't believe the prices on the menu but found out they indeed were when going to pay. The staff were very attentive. We were helped out by almost every server in the building. We stopped by for dinner and there was only one other group dining there. I had the #5 - a beef enchilada, Chile Relleno, and rice. The food was mediocre at best. The beef enchilada meat was nice chunks of beef (not ground) but the sauce tasted as if it came from a can, and it was mushy because half of it was filled with beans. The Chile Relleno tasted like the oil was old and not much cheese inside it. The rice was Minute Rice - soft and mushy. I'm struggling to say anything nice about the place except the Margaritas were delicious, but no lime or salt rim glasses. We had 3 different servers with the second one saying that the first server didn't understand our order - a #5 and a #6 - what's confusing about that? Upon leaving, I checked and found 5 Mexican restaurants within 2 miles of this place - will visit one of those in the future instead! read more

I arrived with only a party of two and there was a sign stating to seat yourself, which we did. The waitress came over fairly quickly with two bottles of salsa, a small bowl of chips, and two small plates. She then disappeared. I'm looking at the salsa wondering if I'm supposed to pour it on the mini plate. Well the waitress finally comes back to our table and I asked if there were small bowls we could use to dip our chips into the salsa. We were informed they were out. Umm...ok. I then proceeded to ask her if they had margaritas, she said they in fact do have margaritas. I asked her if they have any flavored margaritas. She informed me they did not place an order for the flavors since it was close to the holiday. So I just ordered a tea. I figured I would make it easy. It's not her fault if management doesn't put in an order. The tea was good, but it must've been freshly brewed because it melted my ice quickly. No worries. While I was deciding on what to order I asked the waitress for some flour chips. I'm not a fan of the corn chips because they can be pokey on your gums. I was told the flour ones are mixed in with the corn. To me that was beside the point. Evidently I wished to have more flour chips. However, I wasn't given that option because she walked away. Now granted it was starting to get busy and it sounded like there was a large group somewhere in the restaurant, but when I'm speaking I don't like someone to walk away. She returned and took our order. But she never came by between the time we placed the order and when she brought our food. So I had to wait to get a refill on my tea. My fiancé had wanted a to-go box for his food, but she never showed up again. I was not impressed with the service. And I was a tad bit upset that a lot of items were not available. But the restaurant was clean, the food was tasty, and the lady ringing up my order was pleasant and efficient. I'm just a little bummed out since I wanted to treat my guy and the experience wasn't exactly what we expected. read more

This is a quaint place on 188 just outside of Miami globe. The food was excellent, hot, and plentiful. We enjoyed the flour and corn tortillas that were placed on the table with two excellent tasting salsas to begin the meal. The red salsa is sort of sweet and the green salsa has more of an onion flavor but not too spicy. The decor is a tiny bit dated but yet adequate for this older restaurant. The staff was friendly and attentive. The service was very quick. My husband and I both got the number 6 which included a shredded beef taco, a cheese enchilada, and a bean and cheese burrito. pour some of that yummy salsa on top of it and you've got an excellent combination meal. The price was only $8.60 for each plate full of food. the place was very clean. The restroom, ceiling fans, floors, air vent, we're all clean! If you are in globe it's worth going off the highway for about 2 miles to enjoy this restaurant. If you are coming back from Lake Roosevelt it's on your way to highway 60 on your left side and it's worth going to! The hours are Wednesday through Monday 10:30 in the morning till 8:30 p.m. they are closed on Tuesdays and holidays. read more

Food was okay. Nothing to brag about for globe Miami. Service needs help and training. Went to pay and there was a fifty dollar error on a previous check. I paid for our two tables after I left they charged my daughter $55 for a mysterious table that wasn't paid for. We will not be returning anytime soon. read more

Guayo's on the Trail is the only place I've found that has a chili relleno filled with cream cheese. I order mine enchilada style. The owner and staff are always friendly and attentive. Service is very good. The restaurant and restrooms are clean. This is the place you want to stop at if heading out on the road towards Roosevelt Lake or if in the Miami-Globe area and want a nice sit down restaurant experience. This is absolutely one of my favorite Mexican food restaurants around. Never pass up the chance to stop in if you find yourself between Globe and Roosevelt. This family run restaurant has been around for longer than the internet, mobile phones, even longer than most senators have been around. First taste of chips and salsa are free, the red salsa is a bit on the sweet side but the green salsa has enough spice to make my inner chilehead smile. Things like rice and retried beans are pretty standard, but hey have a cream cheese and chicken relleno that is superb. I haven't found its equal anywhere else. These folks definitely know what they are doing. read more

We did a road trip this day to take my dad out of the house. We got here at 1040 ish in the morning. The service was excellent. I ordered 2 tacos, rice and beans. Plus a bowl of the abondiga soup. I will say the food was awesome. The tortillas that came with the soup were fresh and buttered perfectly. The tacos were excellent because they use shredded beef. My sister, niece and dad loved their food too. I can not wait to be in the area again to get that bowl of abondigas. If you are in the area stop in and give them a try. Sadly, though the food was good, I can't say the same about the service. Our order was taken quickly, and I received my margarita in a timely manner, but even though the sign on the wall said 2 for 1 margaritas on Wed. and Thurs. (it was Wednesday), I was never offered the second one. And, after checking on us a couple of times right after we received our food, we never saw our waitress at our table again. Also, we sat and waited and waited for our bill and when my husband finally asked another server about it she said, "Oh, when you're ready to pay your bill it is at the cashier station." Guess we were supposed to be mind readers. We were tourists. We'd never been there before. How were we supposed to know they had this archaic system. Every time we come here, I say we need to come more often! Seriously the best Mexican food ever. The servers are fantastic, the food is always delicious, and the margaritas are to die for (not to mention, cheap!). I know every time we come here we can look forward to a piping hot meal and a friendly face. It has very "rustic" decor, but always very clean - including the bathrooms. The food is sooooooo good! Who cares about anything else it's in the middle of nowhere! I would never want this place to close down because there is hardly any good food around. Bad reviews kill businesses ...so please if you have a review less than 5 stars tell the management so they can take care of it, don't complain here :). Anything less than 5 stars isn't a great review because it pulls the average stars down. Update: i'm on a very very particular diet because of health reasons.
