BUT I was excited today when she went out with our friend and she used her Gucci Bag. Since I was reminiscing with her recently she must have decided to use it! Here's my story. My story: Gucci holds a definite place in my heart and memories! My first expensive bag was a Dooney and Bourke Small Black Leather Bucket Bag. My daughter inherited it now. BUT I always said my daughter came out of my womb carrying a handbag or a shoulder bag. AND naturally when she was a preteen going to the mall she spotted a Gucci in the Gucci store. She wanted it bad and it was $150 or more a lot at the time for a single parent. Definitely Out of the question! Ultimately I helped her make an arrangement with the store. What we did would be unheard of these days. It was basically put in lay away. Every week when my daughter received her $5 allowance and all birthday and holiday cash gifts the money went to her Gucci bag. Finally 6 months later with her Xmas money she had her first Gucci! I'm so happy with my overall experience in this location. I was just browsing but the associate( from Milan I forget her name) was so sweet and attentive and showed me so many options. I eventually landed on a wallet to add to my spring collection. While we're waiting after I paid, we were given a bite to try from a chef that works with the store and let me tell you the flavors were out of this world. Aside from that everyone was extremely nice and I did get a chance to see all the shoes on the third floor. 1star complaint regarding an uncomfortable and unacceptable experience during my visit. While shopping, I was repeatedly followed by an employee who was texting on his phone. He trailed me from the 2nd floor to the 3rd floor as I browsed, and despite my attempts to continue shopping normally, he continued to follow me. When I eventually went downstairs, this employee followed me all the way down to the 1st floor. At that point, it felt as though I was being watched and escorted out rather than treated as a valued customer. This behavior made me extremely uncomfortable and completely diminished what was supposed to be an enjoyable NYC 5th Avenue shopping experience. I hope this matter is escalated and taken seriously, as no customer should feel followed or surveilled while shopping. read more

The best Gucci store in NYC. Seriously, it makes the SoHo location look like a Zara. With three floors, the merchandising is immaculate, the staff are well dressed and professional, and they have a better selection of products than other locations. I came here just before Christmas to pick up my dreams loafers (the Women's Horsebit), an early gift from my husband. Despite being very busy with holiday shoppers, the staff efficiently helped me, and gave me space to try them on to check the size. The store was beautifully decorated for the holidays. I love my loafers, and all Gucci purchases I've made over the years. This is an overdue review. I stopped by this store during spring holiday to have them fix my shoelace. I bought a pair of Gucci shoes two weeks earlier, had a problem with the lace on the right shoe that came uneven (one edge was much longer than the other), making it hard to tie. I talked to a salesperson named Maya. She was cold and didn't seem to be happy as if it wasn't her job. At first she argued by claiming that all their shoes have uneven laces (which is not okay). She got pissed off because I was asking her to do something that she wasn't capable of. While she struggled to fix my shoelace, I suggested that it should go in between the holes horizontally. With a very condescending tone, she rudely and sarcastically answered, 'LOOKS LIKE YOU KNOW HOW TO DO IT?!?!' She eventually lost patience, started ignoring me, and went to talk to another customer. She called one of her co workers up, and with the help of that person, she finally was able to fix the shoelace. She returned the shoe to me (not in a pleasant way, didn't say anything, didn't even look at me) and immediately walked away. Maya is the rudest Gucci employee I have ever interacted with. Her attitudes clearly showed that she looked down on me (racist - I am an Asian). I did not feel welcomed and respected at all. I have been Gucci's loyal customer for years, and the salespersons in the city I live, San Francisco, have much better attitudes. I went to the store on 1/30 To exchange the belt they did not have the belt in my size so they said they could order it for me to shop to my house from NJ which I was later told through client services that this can not be done because the warehouse is in NJ and they don't ship to residences. I didn't step foot in this store, but Chris helped me out via phone. I wanted a specific belt for months, and it was always sold out in my size. It showed that it was available in the US, but it never gave me a location. I hopped online and inquired with the online agent, and they told me the belt was in Beverly Hills and the flagship in NYC. The number listed here on Yelp is NOT the direct line for the NYC store. For obvious reasons, the NYC number is not available to the public. The number you dial is the Gucci national number and they will connect you with a client services adviser after vetting your call and needs. Chris finally called me back and started the whole process of me buying the belt. Chris sent me texts and was very helpful. Things to note if you order by phone from a store: 1. Your shipping address MUST match the address you ship to. For most people that's fine, but if you're like me, you have a separate address for shipping/billing. While it was annoying (I had to go to the post office to get my package), it makes sense. You don't want someone to have your card, spend your money, and THEY get the goodies! 2. They cannot/will not give you the tracking number by phone. They will just tell you it has shipped. I realized it after I asked Chris TWICE for tracking, and he politely said he could only tell me the status of the item, but he couldn't give me the tracking number. This is another safety measure; let's say a thief did get the shipping and billing right, they don't need to know the location of the item because they might intercept it. Maya and Artur at Gucci's Flagship store on 5th Ave in midtown are both awesome. So well versed in bags, attire, shoes, and jewelry. They greeted me and my party with kindness AND champagne. I was interested in their new chevron-styled carry-on luggage. Perfectly sized and so stylish. Artur took great care in helping to find a coordinating shoulder bag. Meanwhile, Maya was excellent at describing the Gucci fashion and shoes. Their slides and coordinating purses were top-most of Maya's discussion for Springtime. On March 1st I ordered a pair of loafers from Gucci in a size 37, to my disappointment they didn't fit well and I needed a smaller size. On March 8th my husband brought them in to Gucci 5th Avenue to get the correct size which they were sold out of, we were told the store wouldn't be able to refund item nor exchange it. My husband was instructed by the sales associate to start the return process online, print out the return label and to bring it back the store because "it would be quicker". We were initially told we would get our refund in 3-5 business days. As time progressed I began to become concerned because I hadn't received my refund and when I tracked the return label there wasn't any movement on the package. I called Client Services and the representative asked me verbatim "Well, did you drop it off to FedEx like you were SUPPOSED to?!" I explained we did what we were instructed to do, and she proceeded to let me know returns actually take 14 days. The representative told me to go into the store to find out what was going on. I neglected to take this representatives name and really wish I did. I visited the store in person on March 18 at 11am. I expressed my concerns to Nella Pietanza about the phone call I had with client services, the misinformation, and most importantly that the tracking number of my return showed no movement. She went and did some research to let me know that my return was sent out by the store under another tracking number but assured my return had successfully arrived at "Gucci 9" on March 11th. She told me she'd look into what delay was and she'd get back to me by the end of day. I Never heard from her. Time progressed and I still didn't receive a refund and my billing cycle was nearing so I filed a dispute with my bank so I wouldn't have to pay for an item I wasn't in possession of. Gucci fought the dispute and to my surprise when I received the paperwork from my bank the paperwork stated that Gucci provided PROOF I never returned my item. I called Gucci Client Services March 23 for further follow up and got the run around from Yadis and was told me return was still in route and if I didn't receive soon I'd need to submit a late return request. She followed up via email providing me with tracking number the store used for my return. Called Gucci client services again on April 4th and spoke to Elizabeth who was the very first person I'd spoken to through this entire ordeal who seemed genuinely concerned about experience, she was very communicative to ensure she had every detail. While there is still no resolution she is still the most exceptional experience I've had since I've started this return process. Elizabeth let me that she'd put in a late refund request for me and let me know that I should have a resolution in 3-7 business days. I called Gucci Client Services April 11th and spoke to Hibba, I asked Hibba to please give me a response by EOD but I never heard back from her (because her inquiry to operations was never responded to). I also email Nella on April 11th and asked for an update and never got one. I called Gucci Client Services today (April 12) for an update because I have not received any follow up. I was informed by Lindsey that there was an error with the late return request that was filled out on April 4th and that I can expect a resolution in another 7 days. Lindsey tried to explain that why I was having difficulties is because the item was dropped off in store as we were instructed to do... after looking through the paperwork submitted to my bank from Gucci dropping of returns in store are within policy. This ordeal has nothing to do with what I've done as client and everything to do with Gucci dropping the ball and being negligent to my initial concerns: When one purchases a luxury item it should make them feel good. This is by far one of the worst shopping experiences of my life. The time, energy, and anxiety that purchase of one pair loafers has costed is unfathomable. read more

I waited in line for about 10-15 min to enter, and there is a digital temperature checker to ensure everyone is healthy before shopping. I visited this location to purchase a gift as this location was much bigger and appeared to have more stock than the one inside Saks Fifth Avenue. The salesperson that helped me was Drew and he was very patient, accommodating, and helpful. He answered all my questions and took his time in showing me everything I wanted to see. I ended up making my purchase (a wallet) and the recipient couldn't be happier. Gucci is my favorite luxury brand and I always make some time to visit this location when I visit the city. First off, this location is huge. The first floor is mostly bags, SLGs, and wallets. The second floor is men's apparel and the third floor is women's apparel. I've been here multiple times and the service has always been fantastic. I know some people find luxury stores intimating when you walk in and want to just look around without a bajillion employees coming up to ask and asking how they can help. Gucci is NOT WORTH the money they charge for their products. Purchased $790 Gucci sneakers. The shoelaces are of such a POOR QUALITY that one of one of laces got torn off. I have contacted Gucci Client Service, sent pictures of shoes and was advised 2 weeks later that it will take additional 13 weeks to receive a replacement. To date, company has not fulfilled its promise and I have not received the shoelaces. Enter at your own peril... Yesterday (15-Apr-2023) I visited the store at 12:50PM. I was in NYC for work and thought of picking something for my wife before my evening flight back to London. As it turned out I got stuck in one of the lifts in the store. I used lift alarm a few times and was told that someone is coming and on their way. However, after being stuck there for over 15 mins I decided to call 911 who responded swiftly to send firefighters and got me out during next 10-15 mins or so. I understand that accidents do happen but a little shocked by how it was handled by flagship Gucci store in NYC: 1) After repeatedly shouting that I have a flight to catch and that it's not very pleasant to be stuck alone inside a lift, all they could say is hold tight and someone is on way. Could they not call 911? 2) More surprisingly when I came out there was no apology. As soon as I came out the very first thing they did is ask me to provide personal data to help fill the incident report form. After I helped the form the guy offered Uber to airport. Really? It took me less than 2 mins from the point I got out of the lift-to help Gucci staff fill the incident form and out on the street. I believe most people don't expect to be trapped in a lift for 25-30 mins. and then come out fill the incident form and then out on their way. How about offering a glass of water or asking how you feeling? Is it too much to expect some basic courtesy from flagship store of high-end luxury brand? I would like to share my uncomfortable experience at this 5th Ave location 3rd floor with your Human Resource department. I came in looking to do some personal shopping in order to cheer myself up on an otherwise "Bad-Day". While I noticed that many of the other employees on this floor were very nice and positive in terms of energy, one particular employee who introduced himself as Mr. Coffee was extremely off putting and racist for lack-of better words. Mr. Coffee approached me speaking in a mocking manner in what I assume he thought to be Chinese. He did not greet me in English nor did he offer to assist me but instead proceeded to mimic what he though a Chinese speaking American would sound like. While I am an Asian American, I do not speak Mandarin or Cantonese and am not of the Chinese ethnicity. To directly assume that I am Chinese and non the less proceed to speak to a customer in this way is inappropriate and frankly racist. I would like to bring this to the attention of the customer care department to hopefully address this situation and prevent this from happening to other Asian Americans as this is truly offensive to be profiled by this Gucci employee. I personally do not feel comfortable shopping at this location as nothing like this has even happened to me with a sales associate. Clearly this is Mr. Coffee's lack of interpersonal skills which is shocking to have someone like this working at a location meant to provide a luxury shopping experience for customers such as myself. Sometimes you just need to buy something crazy expensive, you just do. And Gucci is the place for it. First off it was about 95 degrees with 95% humidity outside, and the store was a welcome respite with its freezing air conditioning. My daughter wanted to try on shoes, so we went up to the shoe department. The selection of shoes was phenomenal and the service even better. Our sales associate brought us ice cold water immediately after we sat down. My daughter tried on a few different pairs of shoes before selecting cute espadrilles. The laces were funky so our sales associate changed them out and gave her an extra pair. The whole experience was very pleasant and we will be back to shop at Gucci again. read more

Do not shop in store the return is 14 days they won't refund you and if you try to call all calls route to corporate where they say they only handle online orders. They will say a manager will call and noone does. 2 times I tried. I returned the items in time and was never refunded. The original sales agent said he refunded me but I never was. He gave me suggestions on the best size to pick when it comes to having more versatility for the belt. I found this to be extremely helpful. I came to this location because people said the service here would be better than the others, and I completely disagree. I was standing at one spot near the bag I wanted to buy for about 20 minutes before I had to walk up to a salesperson and ask for help. Granted I didn't look my best after a long day of work but it's very old school to have that mindset.
