I love, love, looove beef belly, so we got lots of that and it was so yummy, perfectly fatty and tasty! We also got the spicy beef belly which was good too, and brisket which wasn't too bad. I like how at the bar, you can get self-serve meats as well as getting your own rice paper. As someone who needs copious amounts of rice paper, this was amazing because I don't need to keep flagging down a waiter for more. Also great how you can just press a button to call a waiter, they were pretty quick to come by when requested. One thing I didn't like however was the kimchi- it wasn't actually bad at all, I just don't like when kimchi has that starchy sort of taste. Anyway, the $20 price point sold him and the reviews seemed decent enough, so why not give it a chance? The $20 menu is only available between 1130 AM to 4 PM. However, they offer this generous pricing EVERYDAY which is awesome. I'm stuck at work from 9 to 6 throughout the week, so it's very rare I get to take advantage of something like this. Since I was dieting (I know, I know, dieting & KBBQ in the same sentence doesn't make logical sense), I only stuck to the non-marinated meats and ate only vegetables, so I can only speak on those things. The brisket and beef belly were excellent, although this was based on my preference since they were definitely on the fattier side, especially the beef belly, but that's a given. Speaking of bellies, pork belly was good. It was uhh... Thick and long. And meaty for sure. Thick pork belly is best. They also offer thinly sliced pork belly if you prefer that. Their "buffet" section is very limited. They do offer something unique that I haven't seen before which was tortillas lmao. I've seen IG reels of people bringing their own tortillas to KBBQ, so it makes sense that they'd offer it. And they have pico de gallo too which was pretty bland. It was more of a tomato, onion, cilantro salad 'cause there was zero acidity or seasoning. According to my sister and nephew, the buffet stuff was just alright. Service seemed to be a common pain point for a lot of people and that was my main concern. Service surprisingly wasn't that bad to be honest. It did take a little bit of time to flag people down or receive service, but nothing unreasonable. Plus, they are DEFINITELY understaffed here which is why they take a little while to get to you, but they were never rude or made us feel rushed or anything, so that was nice.
