    Beef tofu soup
    Jason Y.

Came here with a friend and decided to order two combo meals so we could try a variety of dishes. One thing I appreciated right away was the assortment of banchan they bring out, and even better, they're refillable. The beef tofu soup was comforting and flavorful with silky soft tofu, chunks of beef, and an egg you crack in yourself which made it feel extra fresh. The bibimbap was loaded with assorted vegetables and beef, and I liked that you can customize the amount of gochujang. Every bite had a good balance of savory flavors and different textures. Our other combo came with galbi that was cooked really well -- smoky, tender, and slightly sweet. We also got the spicy cold noodles which had a nice chewy texture and the flavor was well balanced. Overall, a solid spot if you're looking for Korean comfort food with good portions and variety. The combo meals make it easy to try different items, and I'd come back to explore more of the menu.

We ordered lunch combos: 1. Dolsot Bibimbap + Seafood Tofu Soup 2. Galbi + Seafood Beef Tofu Soup Standard Korean fare done well. Rice cooked properly. Tofu soup was comforting and loaded with soft tofu. They could help trim the extra fat on the galbi which were juicy. Parents were satisfied with the Bibimbap tho they've had better. Pricey. No issues with service. Good amount of seating inside.

Tofu Bean has quickly become one of my go-to spots for Korean comfort food! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and attentive service. The restaurant was clean and inviting, and our server went above and beyond by consistently checking in on us and proactively refilling our banchan throughout the meal. Every dish we tried was packed with flavor, from the bubbling soondubu to the sizzling meats and refreshing cold noodles. If you're craving authentic Korean food, this place is definitely worth a visit. Extra Spicy Kimchi Beef Soondubu: 5/5 This was easily the standout dish of the meal. The broth was deeply flavorful, with a wonderful spicy kick and rich kimchi flavor that warmed you from the inside out. The tofu was incredibly soft and silky, and there was a generous amount of beef throughout the stew. Served bubbling hot alongside perfectly cooked Korean purple rice, which added a subtle sweetness and delightfully sticky texture, this dish was hearty, comforting, and incredibly satisfying from the first spoonful to the last. Bulgogi: 5/5 Served on a sizzling hot plate, the bulgogi was incredibly tender and juicy, with beautifully caramelized edges that added richness and complexity to every bite. The marinade featured rich umami notes from the soy sauce, subtle nuttiness from the sesame oil, and a gentle sweetness from the onions that complemented the beef beautifully. Its savory-sweet flavor profile paired exceptionally well with the bold heat and tangy kimchi flavors of the soondubu, creating an especially satisfying combination. Spicy Pork: 5/5 This was a wonderfully executed take on a Korean classic. The rich gochujang marinade layered savory depth, subtle sweetness, and a warm earthy heat that lingered pleasantly on the palate. A light char from the sizzling platter added richness and complexity, further enhancing the bold flavors of the dish. Combined with the tender, flavorful pork, every bite was deeply satisfying and paired wonderfully with the banchan and rice. Kimchi Fried Rice: 5/5 Served in a hot stone pot, the kimchi fried rice developed a beautifully crisp golden crust that elevated the dish with its delightful crunch and lightly toasted flavor. The use of Korean purple rice added a gentle nuttiness and slightly chewy texture, while the kimchi brought just the right amount of savory, vibrant acidity. A generous layer of melted cheese added a rich creaminess that was the perfect contrast to the bold, tangy flavors of the kimchi. Finished with a perfectly fried egg, the decadent runny yolk coated the rice beautifully, combining seamlessly with the gooey cheese and spicy kimchi to create a rich, comforting, and incredibly satisfying dish. Bibim Naengmyeon: 5/5 The bibim naengmyeon featured wonderfully chewy, springy noodles coated in a sweet, tangy, and spicy gochujang-based sauce that balanced bright acidity with a pleasant heat. Served chilled with crisp vegetables, the dish was light, refreshing, and the perfect complement to the heartier dishes on the table, especially on a warm summer day. Tofu Bean absolutely delivered across the board with its generous portions, thoughtful execution, and exceptional service. Every item we ordered was flavorful, well-prepared, and a testament to the comforting and dynamic nature of Korean cuisine. With food this consistently delicious, Tofu Bean has earned a spot on my list of favorite Korean restaurants.

    Short ribs (galbi)

Was my go-to but not anymore. Kind of disappointed. Been here at least 5 times already. I loved getting their bulgogi, but when I went in April 2026, it was extremely sweet. It wasn't like this before. The short ribs were also overly sweet this time for some reason. Only the katsu quality stayed the same. Their portion sizes are still good though. Also the seafood pancake is over-priced and too oily. They're also not very generous with the side dishes. They never offered to refill our side dishes until we asked. What's worst is that they take the empty side dishes back and I think they refill them using the same dishes instead of getting new ones, which is not sanitary. I speculate this only because they would unstack the side dishes, take them away, and then bring the side dishes.

Tofu Bean was a souper satisfying meal overall!! I ordered the seafood & beef tofu soup and it arrived still sizzling at the table- which immediately elevated the experience! The broth was comforting, and the soups tasted good overall. My only small critique is that the seafood soup felt a little light on seafood (only about 3 shrimp and 1 clam), which was a bit disappointing. The side dishes were all good- potato, bean sprouts, seaweed, fish cake, and cucumber kimchi- and honestly this may have been the first time I genuinely enjoyed every single banchan served. The potato and cucumber kimchi were especially standout favorites for me!! Unfortunately, they do not let you take any of the banchans to go :( The space itself is large and comfortable, prices felt fair, and there's a parking lot out front which is always appreciated. Service was good- the server was kind, and while she checked in less frequently at my table than others, I figured it may have been because I was dining solo and she wanted to give me space to enjoy my meal. Overall, a solid spot for tofu soup with great banchan and fair pricing!

UPDATED REVIEW: Still AMAZING! Came here recently for dinner and it's great to see how busy they are. Lots of people of various party sizes. The staff were efficient and friendly and responsive. The food is always good and consistently well prepared. We ordered two orders of the galbi and tofu soup, one order of the bulgogi and tofu soup, and one tofu soup by itself. Whether you choose to dine in or carry out, this place does not disappoint.

The food and service was good. When I went in there were only 2 ladies server there with 1 other customer. The ladies spoke to each other and joked around but when we needed assistance they were quick to come help. Inside has some autograph pictures, idk if they're of any one famous or just frequent customers. Lots tables on the inside and lots of flyers by the register. There is a charge for using your credit card but i appreciate the transparency. Unlike some places that just charge your card at the end. We got bulgogi and chicken. The meat had nice char. Also no charge for refills on the side dishes.

    Juicy pork cutlet

After reading all the good reviews on Yelp, I decided to give this place a try. I had lunch here. We didn't order much, just the tofu soup combo (seafood soup with galbi) and the pork cutlet. All of them were delicious. The galbi was tender and flavorful. The pork cutlet was not greasy at all, lightly breaded and juicy! The pork cutlet was really a pleasant surprise. The small dishes were great too, and we got refills! The kimchi was really fresh and not too spicy. I liked the bean sprouts and seaweed a lot! Great food and service! Would ocme here again!

Vibe - This place is super simple, as most Korean restaurants I've been to. Sometimes simple is better and all you need. They're clean and have plenty of tables. Service - Felt a little bad since they ran back and forth a lot with an almost full place during lunch around 12:00-1:00 PM. They were doing their best and I commend them for it! Susanna was incredibly sweet too. She apologized about the mistakes multiple times and that's when she introduced herself and said next time we come, she'd make sure things were correct. Food - Average! Personally I don't have much to complain. I've had better but if you're around and just need a place to go then this could be your spot. Dolsot Bibimbap: Loaded with veggies! I especially loved the purple rice. It didn't seem as hot as other places because sometimes I get a lot of crispy rice at the bottom by the time I get to it but this one didn't have much. The first time they brought the order they got it wrong though. I'm vegetarian and they accidentally made it with the meat when I asked without. They kindly took it back to fix though. Mul Naengmyun: We had to ask for extra ice since it wasn't cold. They also added extra noodles on accident when we said less noodles. This is really just a communication issue because of language difference so I'm not holding it against them. Overall, I'd come back again since they're decently solid and close by!

Went here last night and can say I am a very happy customer. Service was solid, nothing special but not bad either. The interior is nice, nothing really pops out ambiance-wise. Where they really stand out is the food. I got the pork cutlet + tofu soup deal for $29.99 and added the seafood pancake for $25.99. The pork cutlet was great. Like any other cutlet, it comes with cabbage to cut through the feeling you get when you eat anything fried. The cutlet sauce is delicious and makes it taste so much better. I didn't expect much out of the dumping tofu soup, but it surprised me. Eating it with the rice was tasty and gave me that warm feeling that you look for when eating soup. Definitely recommend packaging it with one of the other menu items to get it for cheaper. Worth it. The seafood pancake is so good. Probably my favorite bite of the night. It is the perfect blend between crispy goodness and a soft, chewy texture. It is phenomenal on its own, but it is taken to a different level when you add the sauce. I was a bit hesitant when I saw the price at first, but I regret nothing. So good. This restaurant doesn't offer to-go boxes for side dishes, which is reasonable. I took the seafood pancake home in a to-go box though. They offer a 4% discount on all of your food when you pay with cash, which is awesome. Overall, I would give this place an 9/10. Worth every single dollar and absolutely delicious, but you aren't getting much of an "experience." And that is perfectly fine!! Nothing wrong with that whatsoever. I would 100% recommend this place!!

We took our family here last month for my partner's mom's birthday because I wanted the family to try tofu soup. They live in the area so I Yelped this place out and saw the high ratings though with mixed reviews, I thought to give it a try. I live in OC and there are TONS of great soondubu places so I am picky.. We came on a Saturday during off hours, after lunch and before dinner.. probably around 3pm so there was nobody in the restaurant except us.. There were two ladies working and they were super nice. There were 5 of us total so we ordered a few items, galbi and bulgogi a la cart (full size), two bibimbap and 3 tofu soups. Food came out extremely slow but we were okay waiting, though I was wondering why... During the time we wait, they finished quite a few phone orders.. Food was okay, I had better in OC but it was not bad. Full size portions of the gable and bulgogi were smaller for the price than what I was used to in OC. But I like the fact that each rice came with its own standing and it was all purple rice, cute. The ban chan were good.. When we went to pay, it was when it was a bit awkward. My partner paid and noticed that on menu and at the counter, they have signs that said party of 6 tips will be automatically included. We were a party of 5 but they included automatic tips of 20% on our bill. Also, there is a surcharge for credit card. Cash will not have the surcharge... My partner pointed that out for them and they started to act really weird... at the end they said if we don't want to pay they could revise the bill but we said the point was not that, the point was the sneaky way of them sneaking that onto the bill even though we were not a party of 6.. Also, on top of that, they calculated tips on top of taxes and on top of surcharges and if your'e an accountant like me, you will find that pretty annoying. Needless to say, though food was not bad, the few hiccups would not render my return since it's not my cup of tea and it's too much of a hassle if you're into details like me.

Great customer service and a really pleasant dining experience overall. The space is spacious, clean, and comfortable, which made it a great spot to enjoy a meal. The food was delicious--highlights for me were the galbi ribs, which were flavorful and well-cooked, and the kimchi tofu soup, which was rich, comforting, and full of flavor. Solid Korean spot with great service and tasty food. I'd definitely come back!

We ordered the following: Galbi + Kimchi & Beef Tofu Soup Combo ($32.99): The galbi was chewy in that satisfying way, fatty in all the right places, and so well-marinated that every bite was amazing...sweet and savory perfection. The kimchi & beef tofu soup was spicy and deeply flavorful with tender slices of beef and silken tofu that melted on my tongue. Bulgogi + Beef Tofu Soup Combo ($29.99): The bulgogi was slightly caramelized and ridiculously tender. Sweet soy goodness with just enough char to keep things interesting. This tofu soup had a lighter broth than the kimchi version which is great if you want that classic, hearty soup. Seafood Pancake with Vegetables ($25.99): This was the size of a personal pizza. They actually brought out the first seafood pancake to show us that it had gotten burnt on the bottom, then immediately took it back and remade it without us even asking. Fifteen minutes later, a perfectly golden, crispy pancake arrived at our table. The proactive service really impressed us. It was loaded with squid, shrimp, and veggies. We loved this dish the last time we visited, so we had to order it again. Banchan spread: kimchi, fishcake, mashed potatoes, pickled cucumbers, bean sprouts, and seaweed knots. They also gave us egg to crack into the tofu soup ourselves. Parking was easy and we were seated almost immediately. Staff was friendly and super quick with the refills. The wall mounted TVs played a rotation of K-pop, K-dramas, and variety shows which was an added layer of entertainment we could enjoy as we ate.

Everything we had tasted so delicious and flavorful, even the side dishes that consisted of kimchi, fish cakes, and some chives. We kept asking for more and the employees were more than happy to keep them coming! For food, we got the bossam, sulungtang, and yukgaejang. The bossam arrived on this grill that kept it warm throughout the meal, which I can appreciate. The sulungtang and yukgaejang were both phenominal and hit the korean comfort food cravings. Get the purple rice!! Not to mention they had deals on alcohol too. I believe $5 for beer and $7 for a soju bottle -- cant beat that in this economy!
