The meat is not too sweet like a lot of other places. It's lightly caramelized, really tender and seasoned just right. My favorite way to eat it is with a spoon of rice, some tofu soup, a little bit of side dish and a piece of meat all in one bite. The flavor is just so good. You get the sweetness from the meat, umami from the soup and everything just goes really well together. I always refill the side dishes at least twice whenever I come here. They taste fresh and doesn't taste overly salty or too sweet like some places. Another thing I like is their combo actually comes with a regular size tofu soup. Most other tofu soup places only give you a much smaller bowl with the combo, so you definitely get more here. The ajummas are always super fast and really nice. Korean tofu is our favorite food. We ran into this restaurant on our way home and decided to give a try. We ordered the beef and seafood tofu. A bit of disappointment, I only found 2 little pieces of thin brisket, about size of the coin of a quarter. I showed it to the waitress. She was nice to bring the bowls back to the kitchen and added a couple of more. The seafood in the bowl were 4 dry shrimps and a few clams, where other tofu houses would give dry shrimps, clams, fresh shrimps (normally 2), and squid (1-2 pieces) and fish (1 piece at least and beef brisket strips. One thing I appreciated right away was the assortment of banchan they bring out, and even better, they're refillable. Was my go-to but not anymore. Kind of disappointed. Been here at least 5 times already. I loved getting their bulgogi, but when I went in April 2026, it was extremely sweet. It wasn't like this before. The short ribs were also overly sweet this time for some reason. Only the katsu quality stayed the same. Their portion sizes are still good though. Also the seafood pancake is over-priced and too oily. They're also not very generous with the side dishes. They never offered to refill our side dishes until we asked. What's worst is that they take the empty side dishes back and I think they refill them using the same dishes instead of getting new ones, which is not sanitary. Tofu Bean was a souper satisfying meal overall!! I ordered the seafood & beef tofu soup and it arrived still sizzling at the table- which immediately elevated the experience! The broth was comforting, and the soups tasted good overall. My only small critique is that the seafood soup felt a little light on seafood (only about 3 shrimp and 1 clam), which was a bit disappointing. The side dishes were all good- potato, bean sprouts, seaweed, fish cake, and cucumber kimchi- and honestly this may have been the first time I genuinely enjoyed every single banchan served. The potato and cucumber kimchi were especially standout favorites for me!! The food and service was good. When I went in there were only 2 ladies server there with 1 other customer. The ladies spoke to each other and joked around but when we needed assistance they were quick to come help. Inside has some autograph pictures, idk if they're of any one famous or just frequent customers. Lots tables on the inside and lots of flyers by the register. Went here last night and can say I am a very happy customer. Service was solid, nothing special but not bad either. The interior is nice, nothing really pops out ambiance-wise. Where they really stand out is the food. I got the pork cutlet + tofu soup deal for $29.99 and added the seafood pancake for $25.99. The pork cutlet was great. Like any other cutlet, it comes with cabbage to cut through the feeling you get when you eat anything fried. The cutlet sauce is delicious and makes it taste so much better. I didn't expect much out of the dumping tofu soup, but it surprised me. Eating it with the rice was tasty and gave me that warm feeling that you look for when eating soup. Definitely recommend packaging it with one of the other menu items to get it for cheaper. Worth it. The seafood pancake is so good. Probably my favorite bite of the night. It is the perfect blend between crispy goodness and a soft, chewy texture. It is phenomenal on its own, but it is taken to a different level when you add the sauce. I was a bit hesitant when I saw the price at first, but I regret nothing. So good. This restaurant doesn't offer to-go boxes for side dishes, which is reasonable. I took the seafood pancake home in a to-go box though. They offer a 4% discount on all of your food when you pay with cash, which is awesome. Overall, I would give this place an 9/10. There were 5 of us total so we ordered a few items, galbi and bulgogi a la cart (full size), two bibimbap and 3 tofu soups. Food came out extremely slow but we were okay waiting, though I was wondering why... During the time we wait, they finished quite a few phone orders.. Food was okay, I had better in OC but it was not bad. Full size portions of the gable and bulgogi were smaller for the price than what I was used to in OC. But I like the fact that each rice came with its own standing and it was all purple rice, cute. The ban chan were good.. When we went to pay, it was when it was a bit awkward. My partner paid and noticed that on menu and at the counter, they have signs that said party of 6 tips will be automatically included. We were a party of 5 but they included automatic tips of 20% on our bill. Also, there is a surcharge for credit card. Cash will not have the surcharge... My partner pointed that out for them and they started to act really weird... at the end they said if we don't want to pay they could revise the bill but we said the point was not that, the point was the sneaky way of them sneaking that onto the bill even though we were not a party of 6.. Also, on top of that, they calculated tips on top of taxes and on top of surcharges and if your'e an accountant like me, you will find that pretty annoying. If ever I'm craving soondubu, this is my go-to spot. I take my friends who have never had soondubu here too and they all love it! The flavor of the soondubu is so savory and umami, it hits all the right notes that a certain other big soondbu chain doesn't. They don't skimp out on the banchan (side dishes) either. Service is hit-or-miss, depending on when you go. It can get pretty busy during their dinner service, but if you go during their off-peak hours, it's pretty chill. I didn't realize how good Ari Rang must be, until I had the food here. Cold Noodles (2/5) Most of the times I've had this noodle, the soup basically was a block of shaved ice. There was no ice, and the cold noodle wasn't really that cold. Beef Galbi (2/5) It was decent, tasted medium rare, but it really lacked in flavor intensity, no smokiness, no intense umami, it was just, medium rare beef and sauce rubbed on top. A lot of times, for this meant, you want that Carne Asada grilled flavor on it, and it has shown up everywhere, except here. I can appreciate medium rare meat with sauce most days, except today, and except for this dish. Imagine a carne asada burrito, except, no smokiness, no grill flavor, just had the texture and flavor of the insides of a burger patty, with possibly Mr. Yoshida sauce rubbed on top. The table that came in after us even got their Banchan before us, and when I asked about ours, the server straight up just said, "You're Number 2, they here are Number 1." Nothing in that sentence made sense..we got there first, ordered first, and ordered less than the other table. Avoid the younger lady with the mask. Hot soup on a cold day is the best combination. Decided to try out a new Tofu Soup place as I was craving the ribs. This place is pretty big and has a really long tables. I mean it's basically a straight row of tables and can seat a lot of people. They have a fish tank in the restaurant near the restrooms so it's a nice touch. It's nicely decorated with a theme for sure. The staff here are really friendly and nice. They check up on you often and refill the ban chan consistently and continuously. Service here is A+. The only thing about the ban chan is that the kimchi tastes like it's from a supermarket and really sour. Everything else was pretty good. The fish cake is my favorite! Ordered a bunch of dishes like the beef tofu soup, ginseng chicken soup, galbi, chap chae, bibimbap, and bulgogi. The bulgogi was really good and came out sizzling. Well seasoned and was delicious. The chap chae tasted a bit off and usually it's a little bit sweet but it wasn't sweet at all. It was just salty. The galbi was just way too sweet though. They need to move that sweetness over to the chap chae. Everything else was on par with other tofu soup places. Overall, I like this place. This is hands down my favorite local Korean place. Everything that I have had has been really flavorful and tasty without any issues. I usually order the kimchi & beef tofu soup; if I order a combo, it's usually with the galbi. But, I also love getting the naengmyeon on hot days and the galbitang on cold days. I remember used to seeing a long waiting line during rush hour three years ago. After seeing the high rating of this restaurant, I have always wanted to try it out. However, my first experience was just disappointing. I ordered the bibimbap combo (hot stone bibimbap + tofu soup). The tastes is average to below average and portion is small. Hot stone bibimbap: The overall portion is just small. A very thin layer of purple rice with small amounts of veggies, mushrooms, and beef on top. The rice is very soggy! No rice crisp at all! Mushroom tofu soup: There is only baby like 6 Bella mushrooms (sliced in to halves) in the soup. No other mushrooms included. So don't expect this to included assorted mushrooms like other Korean restaurants. The tofu soup is liquidity ( not a lot of tofu and mushrooms, mostly just water). My friend ordered beef tofu soup, and she has the same problem (very liquidity due to the unbalanced water and tofu/beef portion). The tastes is average, nothing special. Their banchan is not amazing or good either. The kimchi doesn't look fresh, and not the best kimchi. There are definitely way better Korean restaurants options around the area. Their service was below average as well. Their staff were not welcoming and approached us unfriendly/cold. The only time that they did spoke to us nicely is when they handed us our check. It was super hot in the restaurant, they didn't have their AC on. Having hot food and soup in door even in March is a painful (full of sweat at the end). The tofu soup is really tasty I really enjoyed their pork cutlet combo. It was really good and cabbage was a refreshing . The galbi was also tasty and seasoned well. The pork cutlet combo was a good deal considering the huge amount of food that you get. The banchan also really good, especially kimchi!! Recommend!! read more

This place has great tofu soup! They also serve it with black rice which is a nice alternative to white rice. Even if I order it plain, the soup is still really flavorful The side dishes here are great, the service is always attentive and fast, and there is ample parking in the lot. read more
