I have been going to Guicho's for several years. Prior to tonight I always got the spaghetti & meatballs. I decided to try something different - bad idea. I ordered the spinach tortellini with the sauce - creamy tomato with peas, mushrooms & prosciutto. It was mediocre at best. Very little taste to the sauce and the tortellini was blah. Never again. The bill came close to $17 for the tortellini and a salad. AND, when I did not add a tip to my 'check' (this place is basically carry out) the 'cashier' copped an attitude. I've have had the luxery of living literally 5 seconds away from this place, which tempts me daily with all the gourmet smells that they send my way everyday. So natuarally ive been coming here for years and years, back when the owner was the one in the kitchen. The only thing that makes this place shy of perfect was that in the beginning serving size were very generous and Now that the prices have gone up quite a bit and the serving sizes have gone down, its a bit dissapointing. This place has the best Italian food in town. I love the three cheese ravioli. We own a restaurant and are super picky about the places we eat. Amazing food, amazing service, and amazing cooks. Everyone is extremely helpful, nice, and hands - on. To everyone who complains; Guicho's is not designed to be a restaurant, but is a take out place. If you wish to eat there, they allow it, but the young employees are not servers. The food is heavenly and the ingredients are so fresh. I recommend the Shrimp Fettucini, even to people who are not fans of shrimp. Also, the arugula salad is very simple, but divine. luis and the crew here at guicho's do an amazing job delighting their customers with friendly service and preparing extremely crave-able italian. take out or dine in on the patio tables, you'll enjoy the delicious pasta plates. my favorite is the fusilli with homemade sausage. i discovered this place a couple years ago thru a friend. after that first bite into the grilled chicken with brie and sun-dried tomato aioli, i was hooked. this is one of the few places that my wife and i will wake up on a saturday and have a craving for guicho's. btw, they're closed on sundays. great place, i highly recommend. and they do catering too. definitely a great idea for our next party. read more

The food is good and they will make your dishes custom. Only minor complaint is that their estimate as to how long the food will take over the phone for takeout orders is not very accurate. I would highly suggest calling them before you leave to come there. They told me 35 minutes today and I got there 45 minutes later and they told me it would still be another 15 minutes. read more

We ordered dinner from here on Valentines night so we could enjoy a night in together. I called in advance and was informed that the wait would be about an hour before it was ready to be picked up since they were so busy. I arrived 55 minutes later and paid for my order. I was told my food was not quite ready, but would be very soon. After 15 minutes, and watching multiple other orders being filled I asked about the progress of my order and was told mine was up next. After another 15 minutes, watching 3 other orders filled, seeing 6 other people come in the door as walk ups and promised their food in 15 minutes, hearing them take 4 phone orders and quoting "ready in 20 minutes", I asked about my order yet again, and it was still not ready. No reason was given for the delay. Frustrated I left for a few minutes and was given my order when I came back inside. The containers were soaked in runny sauce and were falling apart completely, and the food they contained was terrible and cold. One of the worst dining out experiences I have had in a long time, and I travel extensively. Will never be back. Thus is a spectacular tiny, unpretentious restaurant with phenomenal food and service. We were looking for a stay-in night with great food. We loved all of it--fresh and cooked to order. Salad was unique and fresh. Lasagna was incredible as was the tortellini. Give this place a try. You won't regret it! read more

Love this place when we are busy and want a tasty homemade meal. They have a sit down area which is nice. But for me personally I like to call it in, take it home and enjoy it there with my hubby. The food was just amazing. Everything was fresh, hot, and not to expensive. I had the tortellini with mushrooms, peas, and ham, which came with a perfectly crunchy breadstick. This place is pretty good. I've had it a few times now. My favorite is the Arugula Salad and I get a meatball/sausage combo sandwich. I had the ricotta ravioli with the garlic mushroom sauce but wasn't impressed at all. I would be way more inclined to give four stars if it wasn't for my experiences with the staff. I once called in an order for my normal meatball and sausage sandwich and the girl said they were too busy to make that. Then had me hold for over a minute while she asked if they would do that for me, just to come back and say no. They could have sliced up a sausage for me in the same amount of time, lol. Then I said okay just give me a meatball sandwich and a side of sausage and that I'll cut it up myself. I ended up getting a sausage sandwich with one long sausage in it. Hmmmm. Okay. A couple nights ago while I was waiting for my order, somebody called into place an order and they were put on hold for a couple minutes. The whole time they were on hold, the girl that answered the phone was just chit chatting with her coworkers and doing nothing. Those people were on hold for nothing. I pretty much think the young people being hired to run the phones need a lesson on customer service. read more

We ate here tonight and it was pretty good. Wanted a quick sit down place and this sounded good. I got the chopped salad and my husband got the cheese steak and our order didn't take very long to make. They suggested we order ahead as that's what most people do, but we didn't mind the wait. One downside is they only have coke and San pellegrino to drink, nothing else. The ladies working we all very young but were nice. Food was pretty good, the salad was very filling and I liked how finely chopped everything was. My husband asked for no onion and no peppers on his cheese steak and they managed to forget that but it was easy enough for him to scrape it off. He said the meat was a little dry but overall not bad. All in all it wasn't bad but not really something we will crave read more
