They were fast to tell me they took my insurance and what the Co pays would be I felt like the exam was very through and Dr Brandy was great the Tech did alot of the set up so it made her job easier. picked out glasses and they had a much better selection than the previous eye doctor I had clear across town. I was very impressed with Dr. Lock. I had been seeing another doctor at the same location and was devastated when he retired. I am so glad I made an appointment with Dr. Lock. He is very patient and kind, and performed a great diabetic eye exam. The office has not changed much and my favorite people are still there. Been a month waiting in lenses for my glasses. First time wrong lenses ordered from Pace location. Second time they arrived and something else wrong with them. I was told the second time a rush was out in them and have them in a day or two. Been a week and still nothing. Each time it has been up to me to call and get a status. Each time they were in but no one called me and only found out an issue by calling. read more

100/10 We absolutely loved this vision center. We're down here on vacation and 10 hours away from our eye doctor. My boyfriend got a piece of metal in his eye and they seen us right away. The doctor was so kind and efficient. They set a follow up appointment the next day and was super flexible with our time. They even set an appointment for him back in Missouri for after our vacation. 10 STARS - This office is friendly & professional. We went in a week early for an appt ( my error). They offered for us to be seen that day. We went back on the correct appt day & found out my husbands insurance didn't cover new glasses. The tech contacted us a day later and had figured out how to get my husband new frames with his old lenses at no cost. Thank you Thank you. My eyes were acting blurry at work, I called the office. Was told to come in immediately. I was having a possible retina detachment. I had no clue. Doctor gave me her card as was told to call at ANY time, Mon thru Sun if I had any more problems. My husband & I appreciate Gulf Coast Vision Center on 9 mile Road. Even with different staff changes we have always had a great customer service from the receptionist, techs, Dr.'s. Visited with a prescription for glasses. Filled out paper work and returned it to front desk. Picked out glasses and sat down to be called. No one being fitted for glasses at this time. Two separate patients came from the optometrist and were immediately started on the fitting process. I guess they didn't have time for the customers that came first. The staff is very helpful and friendly got my glass a year ago and had the warranty service went in wIth a scratch on one lens the staff ordered me new lens and cleaned my glass up as good as new! It was a great experience and I would definitely recommend them. read more

First time dealing with this place of business. Received an email and a phone call scheduling my appointment for 10:00AM. Showed up to appointment early at 9:45, signed in, filled out the required documents, sat in the waiting area patiently. As multiple customers entered, signed in, waited less than 5-10 minutes and was called to the back. 30 minutes has passed I'm the only one in the waiting area, still waiting.. Finally go to the desk to inquire on the wait. The two women standing at the front looked at me with a blank look and just walked off. Did not say anything to me, no apologies, no "one moment let me check on that", nothing. Due to the unprofessionalism I left. Upon leaving I received a call from the front desk not apologizing, but wanted to advise me my appointment was at 10:30AM.. Worst experience I have ever had. Zero professionalism, I felt unimportant and felt zero remorse from the staff. I will NEVER go back to this place. I have attached an image containing the email confirming my appointment at 10:00AM. I have finally reached my breaking point. My family and I have been customers for years, but for the past year, I'm dissatisfied every time I step foot in the store. #1. They've messed up my glasses twice, messed up my mother's, and messed up my uncle's. In all cases, we were told to wear them for a few days, "because everyone's eyes need time to adjust," but in all cases, the store was wrong and took them back to correct them. One woman told us she had been back 6 times to complain, only to find out they were the wrong prescription, but nobody had actually checked during any of the 6 times. #2. I've had to tell an employee named Darlene twice now that there was something wrong with my glasses. I told her that while I could see, it hurt to look through and she sighed, rolled her eyes, and told me they were my prescription so "What do you want me to do?" When Darlene gave up after a full 10 seconds of trying, she gave my glasses to Matt, who actually gave a damn. Imagine. Matt was wonderful, guys. He was sweet, he cared, and he understood that being able to see involves more than just the right prescription. Darlene always makes me feel like a whiny brat when I have a problem with my lens, which is unacceptable. I SHOULD NOT FEEL LIKE A NUISANCE FOR NOT BEING ABLE TO DRIVE HOME DUE TO THE STATE OF MY GLASSES. At one point, she looked at Matt and said "Well, she has sensitive eyes, so........" as if I were being over dramatic for not just taking what I was given and leaving. Just avoid this place, people. They will give you an incorrect order. They will tell you it's your fault somehow. You will not win without a fight. read more

Ok this review is mixed because my grandparents are or were the patients and i was the applicant. First and foremost DO NOT WORK OR APPLY FOR THIS COMPANY. The hiring manager Rita Hammond is very rude . Some of the staff members are very rude some are very sweet. But they are being treated like crap. One of my friends who worked there recently quit because of how she Was treated. My grandparents are no longer patients there because of the disrespect they felt. I get it jobs can be stressful but we must always keep a Happy respectful demeanor around our clientele . It makes them feel welcomed and valued. When i came to submit my Resume to Rita I was also actually in becoming a patient. The receptionist handed over my resume to her and she literally yelled at her saying tell him im busy!! The girl looked so sad it seemed like they were all miserable at the environment there. It turned me off from being a potential patient or employee. Be warned. Stay far away from this place. 1 star is even an over stretch. They deserve no stars. read more

I agree with April's review. My experience was the worst I have ever had in 50 years of wearing glasses. For my first appointment I waited 45 minutes. The same person in the optical department ordered the wrong size for my frames twice (you would think they would note the error from the 1st time she made the error). The warranty was good and they replaced the lense with a faulty coating. Of the 5 people I dealt with in the optical department 4 were great but oh the waiting. i ordered new lenses and they came in the wrong size - wait for correct size. The faulty lense replacement created more waiting with the wrong size and reorder. Finally after Receiving a post card reminding me to schedule an appointment (I had scheduled one a year ago) I called to check on the existence of said appointment. I was on hold for 10 minutes only to finally find out it was not on their schedule. read more

A 21 day wait for safety glasses is long enough. Day 21 comes and goes with no contact from the office. Day 22 call them and of course they can not answer why that do not have them, transferred to 3 people only to get that they don't have a clue what is going on with my order. Calls me back and leaves a voicemail saying it is going to be another 9 business days for them to get there. This is an inexcusable delay in a work required safety item. If they had stated it was going to take them ~5 weeks to get them in I would have gone elsewhere to have them made as my whole family will be going elsewhere for all vision related matters. read more

Gulf Coast Vision is the worst run vision center I have seen. I have been waiting on my glasses since 9/25/2020, and have not received them. I call and I am told someone will get back to you, and no one does, they say my glasses are at the Stewart Street office in Milton, and they need to come to the Pace office, and it seems to never happen. All I get is a run around when I call about my glasses, I guess the next step is to open a complaint to the BBB. read more

I was very happy durning the exam and the people working omg the office. Till I had tried to order contacts, everything went down hill. After the Initial call back with comments about prescription the ladies took my committees and returned my call. But 2 weeks later when I am ready to order the contacts, they want me to return to them for a follow up, before they issue what I fell is the correct prescription. read more

This was the worst experience in my 30 years of wearing contacts and glasses. Three of the office staff were rude in the two visits I was there. They did not offer sample contact lenses and tried to charge me for them, we're running very behind and seemed not to care I took off work to go there, they billed my insurance incorrectly, repeatedly tried to collect money when my insurance fully covered, and their prices on contacts are absurd! They were a mixed bag for me. My son needed glasses and they were VERY thorough when doing his exam. They spent a lot of time with us. My son was nervous but they really put him at ease. However, when we went to pick up the glasses it was like bizarro world. No real customer service just 2 minutes of adjusting and here ya go! We'll see how they work out if there's any issues in the future. Like I said hot and cold. As it was our first foray into glasses maybe that's the norm? read more

Received good service until I was directed to the area where I was supposed to pick out new glasses. The woman behind the desk was rude and pushy and kept trying to sell me contacts that I didn't want to buy. I've never in all my years had someone try to deny me new frames and put new lenses in my old frames. Ridiculous! I have insurance that allows me to get new frames every two years, so of course that was the main reason I was there. I've never had bad service from this business at the Pensacola location, but I guess the Pace location is just not up to standard with the way they run things. My family and I won't be returning after we get our new glasses. read more

They upsold me a larger box of contacts and said I could get a rebate. Turns out the rebate didn't qualify. They apologized and said they didn't know. They didn't read the find print. Now I am out $50.00 and spend more than I could afford. Shame on them. read more

I started going here years ago with Dr Linder. I'll never go back again. I went after cataract surgery so I had a prescription and just needed glasses. What an experience! First, I chose a pair of frames but the technician said they wouldn't work because they lenses would look odd with one thick and one thin....even though I wanted their best, thinnest lenses. Next that frame fell apart anyway in my hand so ok maybe they weren't well enough made. I chose a different frame and chose lenses. It took the tech over 30 minutes to calculate my price ( granted I had cataract insurance and eye med so I was double insured so a little complicated). Finally they gave me a price of over $400! They charged each lens separately! I never heard of charging per lens. When I complained they said it would be sent to insurance and would let me know if there was an adjustment. No surprise, I never heard from them. Lesson learned.....I'm going somewhere else for a contact fitting on my non-contract eye. I never wear their glasses as they make me off balance (maybe poor progressive lenses?) they will tell you they accept your insurance and just quadruple their prices. read more
