THE GOOD ----------------…read more+ Lots of variety and delicious homemade chocolates to choose from behind the counter - too many to mention - but there's a hugeeeeee assortment of milk, white and dark chocolates. + Approximately $27/lb (as of February 2026) depending on the size of assorted chocolates box you want to purchase. 1lb is about 30+ pieces of chocolate, which is PLENTY to enjoy!! + There are plenty of prepackaged chocolate boxes/packs to choose from too. + Chocolate sampling seems to be allowed here, if you choose to do so. + Private parking lot to the side, which is greatly appreciated in this busy area of River Edge. THE NOT SO GOOD ---------------------------- - Nada. MIXED THOUGHTS --------------------------- = Nada. RANDOM OBSERVATIONS -------------------------------------- = Was preeeetttty busy the day before Valentine's Day 2026. Parking lot was packed, but there were still plenty of chocolates to add to a box from behind the counter. Prepackaged items were running low though.

That's why I recently spent nearly $70 on chocolate roses to give as gifts. When I got home, I realized they were actually made by Madelaine Chocolate Company -- a brand sold on Amazon -- not made in-house. Even more disappointing, a Critchley's sticker had been placed over the original branding, which made it appear they were their own product. After tasting one, it definitely didn't resemble the quality of their homemade chocolate. It tasted like a mass-produced bar. Had I known they weren't made by Critchley's, I would not have purchased them -- especially in that quantity. Transparency matters, especially when customers are intentionally choosing to support local. Gave two stars because the chocolates that they DO make are good. Really disappointing experience. Hoping they address this.

They were insanely fresh, perfectly ripe, and dipped in silky, high quality chocolate that had that clean snap and melt that only true chocolatiers get right. You could taste the craftsmanship. The staff made the experience even better. Warm, patient, and genuinely welcoming even during the holiday rush. No attitude, no chaos, just great service and positive energy. It is a little tricky to find if you are not familiar with the area, but once you walk in, you immediately get those chocolate boutique vibes. Elegant displays, rich aromas, and that cozy, upscale feel that makes you want to try one of everything. Overpriced or not, it felt like a treat worth indulging in. Definitely worth the trip.

One of my favorite things about this place is that they offer a basket made of chocolate. So after you eat everything in the basket, you can eat the chocolate basket. The service here is excellent. Whenever I call to place an order, I never have an issue. I have been in the store once and it smells great, looks clean and there's a lot of chocolates to see. I also saw that they do birthday parties and i think classes. Overall, this place is very cool. It's a good spot to bring kids, a great place to order a gift for someone, and well just overall delicious with a great variety of chocolates and gifts like stuffed animals.

It's like Willy Wonka's factory exploded into a multi-level, Instagram-worthy dreamland with over 10,000 types of sweets The vibes are incredibly fun and lighthearted. Walking in instantly makes you feel like a kid again. The displays are next-level: giant candy sculptures, colorful bins everywhere. The selection is insane and perfectly organized, so it's easy to get lost (in the best way) browsing for hours. From nostalgic classics to viral TikTok finds, giant gummy bears, massive lollipops, chicosticks, creme savers, and every brand you can imagine. Walk around any part of the store and you'll find something special. It's also a massive store. it's 3 levels of nonstop candy. I'm amazed. I loaded up on unique gummies, chocolates, spicy candy dust, and some quirky novelties that made great gifts. The whole experience was exciting and sweet for my kiddos and I. If you have a sweet tooth, stop here. You won't regret it. One of the highlights of the American Dream Mall!

The outside with the jelly bean Statue of Liberty certainly draws you in but the actual contents of the store are pretty basic albeit on a grand scale spread across three floors. A pound of candy is around $18 and none of it is any different than what you'd find in a candy store at the beach. The checkout worker conducted the entire interaction with no words except stating my price total. My favorite part was snapping pictures of my kids with the iconic candy mascots, like the tootsie pop owl.

After reading some of the reviews on Google and here on Yelp I decided to give this place a try. I must say I was not disappointed. Not only did I find the pickles that I was looking for but I picked up the song peppers and garlic for the wife. Wow I saw on the website that they do a number to farmers markets around the state , oddly enough they don't appear to go to any of the ones locally here in South Bergen. But that's okay , Teaneck is not that far for a ride on a Sunday afternoon. The woman who owns the place was extremely helpful and pleasant. The prices were in line with those I pay at the flea market so I have to say that they are good. Bottom line , I'll be back.

I arrived about an hour after they were supposed to be open, but the store was closed with no sign on the door and no one there. I drove back again around noon after noticing the lights were on. I went inside and asked if they were open, and the gentleman said yes. Then a woman from a U-Haul vehicle yelled that they were not open and said that, because they are kosher, they could not sell anything until 1:00 p.m. I completely understand that businesses may have religious observances or adjusted hours, but those hours should be clearly posted online and on the door. After making two trips and receiving conflicting information, I was extremely frustrated. Unfortunately, I will not be trying to visit this location again.
