Good fresh chicken tenders! Their sauce is a good addition also. Not a fan of coleslaw so i opted for double fries instead. While some of the fries were hot and crispy so were lukewarm as if they mixed to batches together. Despite that it was a good meal and I'd recommend checking them out if in the area. read more

The good- restaurant is very clean as it is very new. The service was great . Counter person was very friendly and processed my order quickly and correctly. Thanked me for my business, which was unusual, so kudos for that. The portion of food was fine. The box is sold with about 5 0z. Of chicken which translated to 5 fingers. There is an ample amount of fries which are crinkle cut. The box has a serving of coleslaw and a piece of buttered Texas toast. The bad-- The chicken was over cooked and tough. The batter was dark as you can see in the photo and the chicken was dried out from over frying. The fingers were also very salty. I hate to think how high the sodium was because the taste was extremely salty. The fries were not overly salty. The coleslaw was good , not too sweet and was made with a mayo base. The toast was bleh. It was toast but not very buttery and was slightly over done. Overall , your fried chicken dollars are better spent elsewhere. In a race with Huey Magoos, Raising Canes, and Zaxby's , GUTHRIES is solidly in 4th place. The saltiness compares to Zaxby's Z 2. Nobody touches the toast from Canes and GUTHRIES is solid 4th place on that item. It may be a case of being new and training deficient. Only time will tell but unfortunately, some of you will have to test it. I won't be driving by the above mentioned chicken establishments to try this again. High quality chicken tenders are the name of their game. The tenders are juicy, well seasoned and crispy (not too many can claim all 3). I have a few reservations about their fries. I'm not sure if the fry meat sustainability factor is high (if the fries stay hot long). I have had Guthrie's before and it use to be so good when it was in the Perimeter area of Atlanta. This new Guthries needs to be ashamed of the size of the tenders. I am paying good money and this is what I get!!! The service at the Grayson location is horrible. I was told that I can't order a family meal it would have to be through Uber eats only. I knew the workers just didn't want to do a big order. I came back the next day and asked for another family meal and it was made. So that really made me mad for the lie that the young lady said to me. The ambiance is any type of fast food restaurant. The location of this Guthries is not good. It's hidden and it is not lit up at night for people to see it. It's next to an apartment complex and you have to u turn if you're coming from the opposite side of the road. Guthrie's first time visit here in Grayson was an absolute pleasure. The chicken finger meal was just right. Seemed to be cooked to order. Chicken was lightly seasoned just cooked perfectly and the crinkle cut fries were also perfectly cooked golden crisp on the outside great texture inside. The original dipping sauce went very well with the main dish. Also had sweet tea which was a great compliment to the dish. We ordered Togo so the time didn't take long at all. The service was quick and accommodating! I received my food quick and it was pipping hot which I loved. However i didn't love how everything from my chicken, fries, and bread left a film of oil in my mouth. My food was good but I couldn't get over the after taste of the oil. I'm not sure if the oil was just bad and I caught them on a bad day, but it wasn't the best chicken fingers i've ever had. I would definitely recommend going to Huey Magoos, Canes, or Zaxby's. I pulled up to the speaker in the drive thru with my partner at 9:25pm on a Friday. The gentleman at the speaker was rushing me to order. I did not like that. I had modifications to my order that he didn't let me get out. As I pulled around to the window, an African American man open the window. We paid for the food and the man tells us that "he will be right back". As we were talking and waiting on our order, we notice that we have been waiting over five minutes. Another five minutes pass by and then a short hispanic man gives us our order. We told him that we waited a long time and that it was unacceptable. The African American man just said that he wanted to give us fresh food because he couldn't give us bad food. We were like you didn't tell us that! You have to communicate to your customers about those kinds of things. It was not the best experience. The gentleman needs some more training. Guthrie's!! The original chicken finger restaurant...the blue print for Zaxby's and Raising Cane's. As delicious as they have always been. We ran across this location in our travels and got so excited that we couldn't wait to park! The chicken fingers are fantastic, the sauce is a must, the fries hot and crispy and the slaw a nice compliment to the rest of the meal. So I've had them twice so far. Not a ton of variety on the menu but I do think the chicken tenders fast food market is becoming over saturated (Guthrie's, Zaxby's, Raising Cane's). Back to the review, both times I went through the drive thru. Chicken is rather bland, lacks seasoning but you can tell it's fried well and batter provides great texture--just barely any taste! The sauce helps immensely. Fries were average, nothing to rave over though they were fresh and hot with decent salt. Toast was...toast lol. We got the box which includes coleslaw but we chose to ask for double fries which still looked like an individual helping. First time visiting this location, but have always been a Guthrie's fan since I first ate from this restaurant in Jacksonville, Alabama and that was about 20 years ago. The quality of their sauce and food is just as I remembered. I don't recall the price being as expensive to eat their food, but either way it's worth it. I would love if there are some deals they may offer from time to time or even a loyalty program to reward and encourage frequent customer visit. The store is clean inside and out. I even used the bathroom as soon as I came in and it seemed sterile. I was greeted warmly as soon as I entered, which was very inviting for my first experience at this location and not visiting a Guthries in a long time. The employees and manager were friendly and patient. I'll definitely return to this location. I ate the 3 piece chicken finger sandwich that came with lettuce and Guthries sauce on it. The sweet tea is so delicious! I knew I should have taken the pic before biting into, I couldn't help myself so I took a picture of when I paused to write this review...now back to finishing my delicious sandwich! read more

Very promising. The service is good and the food is very good but I do have a few issues. The soft drink dispenser was out of carbonation. Fortunately they had some non carbonated drinks. The price for a basket and drink is around $12. That's a bit much for me. The basket only comes with one cup of sauce. That's not enough for 5 fingers. And they want 60 cents for another cup, which would be too much sauce for the one finger remaining. How about a slightly larger cup of sauce? All of the food items in the basket are individually good and the chicken is superb! But I don't think I got 5 oz of fries, as indicated. I could be wrong but a few more fries would not hurt. It's good to be able to go to a Guthrie's! I'll be back but not as often as I would like, at this price. 3 1/2 stars but I rounded up. read more

We had to repeat ourselves several times bc the lady taking our order was carrying on side conversations and laughter so loud - it was obvious. When we drove up, the lady taking the cash was joking and carrying on with the 3 others so bad we were being chastised. We waited approx 3 mins, then a young man gave us our order without utensils - then sarcastically stated BON A PETITE! All 4 of your employees started laughing hysterically. The chicken was too salty. Employees are a reflection of ownership and management. Please take this as opportunity improvement is needed. i went to guthires looking for chicken and toast, i waited 20 minutes for my order. didn't come out until 7:30 i arrived at 6:40 i honestly thought they were short staff but than looked in the back and saw a lot of workers just standing on there phone. the place was a mess and employees were rude. What a refreshing drive thru experience this evening! Asking for my order at the speaker was pleasant sounding, professional and polite! The window exchange was the same in spite of a small "hiccup"! I requested sauce on the side, not on the bun. As the Rep was bagging the order, she realized the order was wrong, caught it, had the cook make another sandwich and I was good to go! Everyone stayed cool, calm & collected. No clowning at the window... very orderly! Below average chicken strips .... Only thing on menu is chicken strips or a sandwich and the sandwich is chicken strips on a bun. Sauce is flavorless. To many good chicken strip options to return here. read more

My first time trying a Guthrie's Restaurant and at first I was impressed however that faded quickly. Stopped by and took the drive thru. Ordered the Chicken Box as others described. The fries were hot and delicious as I sampled a few on my way home. The chicken fingers were also hot and at first delicious. Moist, juicy, and properly cooked. Then came the Fishy after taste! I don't know if the oil was not changed and someone cooked fish in the same oil or exactly what was going on with this weird after taste. Unfortunately it was the same with all of the chicken fingers. The little tiny container of Cole slaw was terrible, no taste, and was a big disappointment. The Guthrie's Sauce was OK. Overall, I was disappointed. The young woman who took my money & gave me my food at the window, acted as though she was doing me a favor and was rude. Overall, I will NOT be back. Prices are high for what you get, Rude customer service, Fishy tasting chicken, beyond Bland cole slaw, but good fries. I do not recommend. read more

When I first started coming here, portions we good and felt like I was getting what I paid for. Lately has went downhill. Prices are steadily climbing and portions are getting smaller. Staff used to be numerous and friendly, but now understaffed and grumpy. I just ate there for the last time today. Stood at the counter in the middle of my lunch to try to get a refill on my water. No one at the counter or anywhere around to help so I refilled my own water. Some very rude employee came out and snapped at me telling me I am NOT to do that again and to make sure an employee refilled it next time. I buy my employees lunch from here at least twice a week and eat here myself anytime I'm driving through to lawrenceville. After the way I was talked down to today I will take my personal lunches and business lunches somewhere else to another establishment that will appreciate my patronage and will have a smile on their face instead of portraying with their mannerisms of how bad they hate their job. I know this is not the owners fault because good employees are really hard to find, but just wanted to leave this average review so maybe management will take this feedback into consideration and make the necessary adjustment they need to so this doesn't run off anymore customers they have that frequent this place like I did before this episode. read more

We tried this the other day and it was quite similar to zaxbys. I would say that they are less seasoned and the sauce is what makes it good. There isn't much on the menu but that's okay. We tried the Texas toast and also the chicken sandwhich that had the chicken fingers with just lettuce added. It was a pretty big sandwhich and the portions were about the same as zaxbys but I would say overall there is more flavor at zaxbys. Service is great. read more
