Here's the good, in order of the best: 1. The best: the person who took our order and explained the menu and offered their recommendation. Super helpful and patient! I wish that I'd asked their name... took our order at about 3 pm or so, long black hairstyle, "Springy Afro Twist", maybe? Anyway, this person was the best part of our experience. Thank you! 2. Second best: the chicken. We ordered the Original 5-Tender Combo. Service was quick and complete. The chicken tenders were good...not Chick-fil-A delicious, but still good tasting. Now, a couple of recommendations for improvement: 1. The coleslaw was NOT tasty at all... bland and soggy. Spice it up, change the dressing, change the method of prep... something. This alone made the meal a disappointment. 2. The toast included in the combo was unnecessary. If we order the combo again we'll skip the toast and the coleslaw. There's absolutely no flavor with this chicken. Go to McDonald's next door, their chicken and fries are definitely better than this garbage. Fries are crinkle cut but mine were slightly overdone. The sauce was just an underwhelming ripoff of Raising Cane's sauce. They even forgot the sauce that I ordered.The one positive I can give is that the girl who serviced me was super friendly. Me and my family went to lunch today at Guthrie's. Overall great experience. Friendly staff, clean building, food is solid. Prices are a little high but that's what you get for eating out. My only complaint would be that the chicken was just a little salty for me and my wife. We are big salt people too and still thought it was a little too salty... I have come here multiple times on multiple occasions, I enjoy eating the food here it is good. However the tables are often dirty from people previously eating. Music is nice and they have some entertainment, a little bit on the slow side for service, but they offer free refills. read more
