Grilled Chicken sandwich with onion rings
Judi B.

Thursday night at 5:30pm and the place was pretty full - good sign from the start! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff upped the ante...loved that there was no frustration with my first-timer questions and the side options of fries or tots with your combo upgrade. Place hasn't had a decor refresh in a while, but shockingly it adds to the charm instead of away from it...this place feels like a family diner; cherished by locals...and loved for its hidden "in-the-know" charm. The drive-thru was never empty the entire time we were there. Hubby ordered the single hamburger plain with cheese and a side of fries. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich with onion rings because I'm no chump! The hamburger was grilled to perfection, oozing with meat juices and cradled between what appeared to be freshly made buns. The fries were perfectly fried and fantastic with the fry sauce that accompanied the combo. The grilled chicken was incredibly flavorful, dripping with so much juice that it puddled in the sandwich paper wrapping. All the toppings were fresh and sliced with careful consideration. But let me have a moment to just talk about these onion rings. Sweet love. So many, perfectly breaded...not too crunchy, but fluffy crunchy to the point that you can bend for dipping without crumbs blanketing your face, shirt and everyone at the table. Do not pass these onion rings up when you go...worth every penny. Can't wait to return, amazing hidden gem!

Overcooked fried pickles.

We are visiting from out of town. Called ahead to confirm they were open and allowed dogs. We were approximately 20 minutes away. Upon arrival, it was pretty empty. We ordered food. At no time before or after we arrived did anyone bother to wipe down a table outside that was covered in bird poop. So, we had to go back to the car to eat. In addition, all fried portions of the food were extra crispy or burnt. Not a good first impression.

Bourbon bacon cheeseburger with onion rings

This is a solid burger spot located right outside of downtown Meridian...has all the looks of a greasy spoon burger joint and does not disappoint. Inside is always clean and the staff has been very friendly. There are not a ton of options but what they do focus on is burgers and that's what they do well. Sorry vegans I didn't see any meatless options but for those of you with gluten issues they will lettuce wrap and do a decent job. The burgers are big and juicy and always hit the spot. Yesterday we also tried one of their shakes and this was also delicious and a great treat. I had the double bacon bourbon burger and it was absolutely delicious. The onion rings are always crispy and one of my favorites as well. This is a great local place and priced very reasonable. In a world of fast food chains and there cost cutting measures with not knowing what's actually in your food this locally family owned burger joint should be your go to spot.

Happy birthday Kam

It's not all just talk! While easy to miss, this Meridian staple is of the best burger joints in the Treasure Valley! This is one of my go-to's for a mouthwatering, classic burger. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. The menu is simple and the prices are extremely reasonable. All burgers are 1/3 pound and come with crisp lettuce, ripe tomato, fresh onion and tangy pickles. My husband and I both enjoyed a Bacon with Cheese ($8.99) with a side of fries and drinks (+$4.99) as well as a small Oreo milkshake ($6.00). Damn, was that burger GOOD. The bacon of was of excellent quality. The cheese was beautifully melted. It truly was a perfect, classic burger. Each bite really delivered a symphony of flavors, especially with a lil dab of fry sauce. The fries were nicely salted and paired wonderfully dipped in the rich, velvety milkshake. Main Street Burger has all the vibes of an old-school, small town burger joint despite being located right in the middle of busy Meridian. I really felt a strong sense of nostalgia and comfort as I enjoyed my meal. The service was top-notch as well. We were given the wrong milkshake (vanilla), but they were so apologetic and willing to remake it, we ended up keeping it. It tasted better with the fries than Oreo would have anyway. 10/10 recommend!

Wowwwwwww!!!!!! Everything was 10/10! We got the western bacon burger...juicy...huge...delicious. We also had the bacon burger. Same, juicy...huge...delicious. Finally, the kids chicken strips and fries. Delicious. I did get sweet potato fries...not the best. We ended it with an ice cream cone. Absolutely amazing and hugeeeeeeeee. Pls give this place a try. It's dine-in and drive thru.

Headed out for a night of shopping and a quick dinner first. I 'Yelped' hamburgers and this place came up. We were not disappointed! The burgers are large with great toppings and a good bun. The only thing that wasn't perfect was that the burger was a little too overdone and dry. A juicier burger would have been better. The fries were awesome! I am not used to fry sauce so had to ask for ketchup. I was expecting this restaurant to smell greasy as most small fried food places do. Nice surprise, no fried greasy smell! Big plus in my book. We will be back!

We stopped here on a whim and we're so glad we did. My husband and I both got bacon cheeseburgers and fries. The burgers were absolutely delicious. Everything was fresh and tasty. There's not a lot of tables for dine in, but it was still a cute place. The service was friendly and the experience was great. We would definitely go back.

2 meals is $45 way too over priced you can get the same food for $15 cheaper up the road.

With its varied menu and delicious happy hour selection this place could be a favorite for a wide variety of the local population. Classy, welcoming with engaging staff. While the selections of taps are diverse and smart for diners, it is the kitchen that is the real star here. We tried the Happy Hour fare (3-5 pm). See the pics for details. We also tried the Kobe sliders, but they fell short of the Chicken Sliders with their tender, juicy cuts of breast. The lineup of drinks are on full display at the bar and with scannable menus. This is a solid place for bringing friends or family for a gathering - yes, like the name suggests "Common". If anyone in your group cannot find a drink and meal to their liking, then you need to replace that person from your social circle or family. 2 hour free parking directly behind the building makes this location much better than the downtown businesses in the liberal ghetto of Boise where they will soon tax the air you breathe. Here, the pricing will not require you to take out a second mortgage as the Boise elites would have you do for eating in their downtown. It is no surprise that more quality dining places are opening in cities like Eagle, Caldwell, Nampa and Meridian where Idahoans can enjoy life.

The rib appetizer was also cooked to dry bones. The steak fritters were battered and deep fried? Why in the world would you do that to a perfectly good piece of meat? My guess is because it wasn't a good piece of meat. That also was overcooked and just weird. Definitely overpriced as the food was not good. Maybe they have something they are known for and we missed something? Either way, too many options out there to ever try again. It was a miss for us. The set up and ambiance was nice and they were very busy so people must like it. We sat at the bar and service was fine.

He used to frequent this joint when it was off of Fairview so he knew what kind of service and food to expect. It was my first time so I was excited to see what they had to offer. Walking in, the place was bright and clean. I headed to the counter and this sweet gal greeted me. I got my husband his usual which is a grilled ham and cheese sammy. I ordered a bunless double cheeseburger with jalapenos and grilled onions. Of course I got a side of fries and a vanilla shake to go with my husband's sammy. You gotta have fries with a burger! Since I recently got my new kidney, I have to be really careful with utensils, condiments and lids that are communal. I have to be so careful with germs that could possibly be on these common items. I told the sweet gal behind the counter about my new kidney. The gal was sweet and let me grab what I needed out of the boxes behind the counter that no one had access to. I appreciate that she was understanding and kind about my safety. Didn't question it one bit! I got my utensils, ketchup packets and napkins. My burger was so tasty! I was only able to finish half of it. So, next time I will definitely just get a single patty. There was plenty of cheese, jalapenos and grilled onions. The fries were hot, salty and crispy. I did enjoy the soggier fries, the soggy ones are my favorite. The fry sauce and ranch were both great dipping sauces for the fries. My husband did not share one sip of that vanilla shake and he finished the whole thing. I'll take that as a great shake! From the service to the food, everything was great! I appreciate the gal behind the counter for being so kind and considerate about my health needs when she didn't have to. The fries and burger that I had was killer! I say that ranch was some of the best I have had. We are never really on that end of town but if we are, I know where we will be eating! You can never go wrong with a good burger and fries.

We were close to the area and we finally were able to visit and I'm sure glad we did. The restaurant is located in a nice shopping center on the corner of Eagle and Overland, immediately on the other side of 84. The location is nestled towards the back of the center and can easily be missed as it's tucked in the corner of a small lot. We were greeted with a huge smile and swift seating to a booth in the larger dining room area. Even though it was barely 11:30 am on a Saturday, the dining room was already filling with hungry customers and the kitchen was notably bustling. We had Kaitlyn as our server. She arrived with a sunny disposition and eagerness to get our orders going. Downside, due to cost, tomatoes are not available. I have to say, that kind of broke my heart a little...tomatoes, in my eyes, are a requirement for every burger. I ordered the Bleu Bacon single burger and hubby had the cheeseburger. We ordered a small fry (1/2 pound) for us to share. Food did take quite a while to come out, but our server did come by several times to check on us, refill drinks, and give us updates (apparently a large to-go order backlogged the kitchen). The burgers came out first. I was a little underwhelmed with the small burger plate and cheese that was obviously cold when added to the burger and had become a tad sweaty from being steamed instead of melted. I had little hope....but then I took my first bite. The Kaiser hamburger bun was soft, burger patty was nicely seasoned and the bleu cheese was punchy without being overwhelming. The bacon sung through. The fries quickly followed. We were surprised by the home cut style, thick and irregular...rustic and perfectly cooked. These suckers are huge. But with every fry, it was crunch-tender on the outside and fluffy on the inside. I really enjoyed our visit, but the place seemed to be a little understaffed. Several tables had plates stacked or cleaning supplies atop the tables. That aside, service was attentive and the food tasted great, even without the tomatoes.

First Observation: This place is filthy, crusty, and gross! There were 2 parties there, 1 party of 4 and 1 party of about 10, (so not busy considering there were 2 servers working) and every other table was filthy. There was food all over the floor and on the tables along with dirty dishes. A bottle of cleaner was left on top of an in cleaned table, which seemed crazy to me. Why would you go to all the trouble of bringing a chemicals out to clean a table and just leave it there? In addition to the less than clean dining area, the restrooms were dirty too. And one final note...maybe servers should consider NOT wearing their PJ's to work. It's just off-putting.
