We just had Gutierrez Roofing install a new roof and we are super satisfied. Julio was great with the bid and contract process, very straightforward We did this in February and had a narrow window of time between forecasted rain and the new roof was installed timely and without a hitch. Julio coordinated this very well. The crew was very good and did a great job to put plastic sheeting inside the house to protect against any debris as well as outside. We had a leak in our home after a rainstorm and assumed it was from a corner of the roof. I contacted Guitterez because they had installed it about 10 years ago. Julio came out right away and scheduled a repair. However, after further inspection, and with his patient help and guidance, we found the source to be a damaged pipe. During this process, an insurance adjuster and contractor inspected the roof and said it was in good shape and the roofing company had done a good job. It was only a possibility it could have been leaking from one corner. Julio is still coming out to seal that area, just to be safe. read more

After showing up, I was told that I would receive an estimate in a couple days- that was over 2 weeks ago. I've tried contacting them several times now to get the estimate, and they don't respond. If they're too busy to take on a repair project (just assuming that's the reason for being unresponsive), then they should just say so instead of ghosting me. They did great work and where fast and reliable. We got a standing seam metal roof for how long they last but also the fire safety. They ended up costing exactly what they estimated. They where able to put the new roof up very quickly, only a month from when we first spoke to them and got the estimate. It took a few days longer than they expected due to needing to get more materials but this was totally fine and worth It for the job they did. They where able to put in the sky light I have wanted. His was neither the highest nor lowest bid but we had received several excellent recommendations for his work and were confident to proceed with Julio. Re-roofing is not for the faint-hearted, but the crew put out drop cloths around the house daily and worked quickly and efficiently to get the old roof off and repair, prep and re-roof as per estimate. His crew cleaned up afterward plus used a magnet to collect all metal bits and nails that escaped the daily cleanup. The roof and flashing look great and we are now ready for winter. Our Tam Valley home roof required replacement and we researched several local roofers to do the work. We narrowed the selection to three local roofing companies. We met with all three and received written estimates. Gutierrez Roofing Co. Inc. was the selection for us. The owner Julio met with us to discuss our options and the time-frame for the work to be done. Julio is a good businessman and he outlined the process and timing for the work to be done. He also pulled the permit for the project. As needed, we called Julio and he promptly returned our calls. Our roof project went as planned (our garage roof was also part of the project). The work staff was professional and Julio stopped by frequently to determine that the project was progressing well and the work was done as planned. Upon removing the old house roof, it was noted that we would need to replace all of the underlying roof plywood. We negotiated the project change with Julio and they started the removal and replacement of the plywood, as recommended. We are pleased with the new roof, gutters/guards and the downspouts. As promised, the work area was cleaned every day and the debris hauled away. All of the workers were polite - and they worked efficiently. Our surrounding trees, plants and shrubs, were protected during the entire project. After the work was done, Julio met with us and the County Inspector and we were cleared for inspection. We had our roof replaced by Julio Gutierrez's crew about a month ago and were very pleased with the entire process. Julio was neither the cheapest nor most expensive bid but he did the best job of explaining what was included in his bid (including some things that others simply did not address or notice) and being flexible with some options (like gutter guards and additional venting). He was always there when he said he would be, on time, friendly, courteous and thorough and his crew was very neat, leaving things cleaner than when they arrived. The attention to detail and care was particularly noteworthy - for example, all vents and pipes that extend up through the roof were masked off and painted with rust-preventing paint that matched the gutter guards and coordinated well with the singles and a nice cricket to divert water in a poorly designed roof transition on an addition. Such touches are not to be taken for granted... in fact, the inspector spontaeously commented and complimented the work, indicating it was clearly done with more care and attention than most roofing jobs. As is so often the case, there was the need for some additional work (decking needed to cover the original redwood planks on our century old house) but because we had discussed that potential, it was not a nasty surprise and he was open to negotiating on the solution and price. While the test of time is really the best evaluation for any roof replacement, I have confidence in this roof lasting without problems for many years given the quality of the work that I saw here. read more
