My fiancé and I arrived here around 6pm for date night. We had made reservations in Open Table. The ambiance when you walked in was very welcoming and made us feel very homey. They greeted us right when we walked in and sat us at our table. The table they sat us at was quite small and kept moving (I think it wasn't leveled). The warm ciabatta bread with the honey garlic butter was to die for. We asked for more! I ordered their fettuccini carbonara with applewood bacon and peas. There wasn't any bacon in it and it tasted a little watered down. It tasted more like a fettuccini Alfredo than a carbonara. My fiancé got the meatloaf and it wasn't bad. The lump crab cake appetizer was our favorite! We will definitely come back to try their other entrees that they have. The waiter we had was very attentive. This place was great! read more

I would have liked to go with 3.5 stars but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. The ambiance was nice. The service was very good. The bathrooms were spotless. The food was so so... for 70$ a steak. (Cowboy ribeye) I would have expected it to have been cooked perfectly. But it wasn't. It was medium and medium well when I ordered medium rare. I imagine it is because they cook on a wood fire so that's difficult to gauge I guess? The mashed potatoes were bland. No one at the table ate theirs. The grilled tomatoes were really good. That's their signature. The beer was icy cold so that was a plus. The calamari was excellent. But the stuffed mushrooms were extremely small and you only got 4 for 16$ which I thought was terrible. All in all it was a nice place to go for my wife's birthday but at nearly 100$ per person I did not think the value was there. read more

But real highlight was owners wife discussing how she just bought two houses, one here and the other in Florida and how wonderful, well educated and traveled her kids are. A must try, fine dining experience. You will not be disappointed. Our table tasted several different entrees, specifically the filet mignon, stuffed shrimp, veal chop, and eggplant. Every plate was delicious, plentiful, and well plated. The cocktail and wine list was equally generous with a wide selection of options. Service was first rate. Absolutely perfect dinner evening. The place was redone beautifully, it's dark low light and quiet. Staff absolutely fantastic. Melissa & Sage were so friendly. Shawn came over to check with us to see if everything was up to snuff. Food was delicious. Swordfish fantastic. I tried the meatloaf off friends plate. I'll have to come back for that. Very unique taste. Wife got a crusted chicken with ravioli. No complaints highly recommended. We'll be back ! read more

The restaurant is the most beautiful around. Ambiance, beyond, so if you're looking for a great place for a special occasion. wedding, shower, birthday it is the perfect pace, gorgeous. The food took a lot of thought from the bread to the dip, butter, garlic, in a honey sauce. The salad was fabulous, a was the stuffed mushrooms and the onion soup. The cowboy steak was beyond amazing, as was everyone's steaks. Dessert's were so yummy. The owner came over and couldn't have been nicer. To me that means so much. My sister made reservations for me, she, and my dad who was going to turn 96 years old on the day we visited this restaurant. My sister looked at the website and it said that it was open at 4:30 PM, so she made reservations for 4:30 PM. We arrived three minutes early and sat in the car until 4:30 PM. When we went into the restaurant, what seemed like the manager told us that the restaurant opens at 5 PM. and we would have to sit at the bar. He said the bar opens at 4 PM., but the restaurant opens at 5 PM. We questioned him since the website says the place opens at 4:30. He started telling us about the bar policy and kept droning on about stuff and we became frustrated with him. We told him we were leaving and going elsewhere. On my way out I looked at the paper sign that was on the door and it said "Bar opens at 4 PM". And below that statement there was a title for a paragraph that stated "hours". The hours were all starting at 4:30 PM. So if the bar opens at 4 PM and the restaurant opens at 5 PM, what opens at 4:30 PM? I took the sign off the door, which was merely taped onto the glass and brought it in and questioned the bartender. She said it's only the company's policy and it's not hers. She said she had no control. I told her that maybe she could provide good feedback to the owner and make this more clear for guests who might be showing up at 4:30 expecting the restaurant to be open then. I then walked out and the manager came out and said that I "threw the sign at the bartender". Of course he is exaggerating to make it look worse. I merely slid the paper across the bar to the bartender who was about 6 feet away from me. He acted holier than thou. If one thing can come out of this review it is if the owner or manager makes the hours more clear on the website and on the door so people first coming to this place will realize when the bar is open and when the dining room is open. We stopped by for happy hour as we just moved into the neighborhood. My Cabernet was excellent. There was no Chardonnay on offer for a happy hour price. We shared the meatloaf sliders. They were outstanding. Although the bar had several televisions, there was just local tv (no ESPN, no TNT, no TBS, no CNN in short no sports). We will try the regular menu in the near future. read more

First off the service was excellent! There is not a bad thing to say. They are courteous and pleasant. The food is where I have the issue! Got a Cesar salad , or what we thought was a salad ! When I came out it was a big chunk of Romain w/ a piece of prosciutto over it and a breadstick with melted cheese . Not very good. Also got the meatball app. Not bad but covered in sauce and Parmesan. The entrees were no different, stuff shrimp over cooked and again covered in Parmesan and sauce. Overall not horrible but I feel if they keep it simple it can be better. read more
