We went there today for lunch. We got there about 10 mins early, but they let us in anyway. They were very friendly, and courteous. We ordered the family meal and a chicken salad. The was plenty for myself,wife, teen daughter and our two younger daughters. The food was great and two daughters that are very picky liked it as well. We will be back again. read more

Absolutely LOVE this place! Service is always friendly; food is served quick; and the food is phenomenal!!!!! I even got my husband hooked on my favorite: the gyro salad! I have lived in Maricopa for 31/2 years and finally ate at Gyro Grill. I wish I hadn't waited so long! It was very clean, and everyone working there was SO nice! I got the falafel wrap. It was amazing. The falafel was not dry, like I have had at other places, it was perfectly seasoned, sized, shaped, and texture was great. One of my sons enjoyed a hotdog and I was pleased that it was all beef- not a cheap, bad quality one. My other son is a very picky eater and I got him an order of pita bread. He absolutely loved it. It was so soft, yet sturdy, and the flavor was fantastic. Good serving sizes. We will definitely be coming back. The baklava was hands down the best I have had in my life! It was sweet, but not too sweet, and it was not bitter at all, like I have had before. It was also not too sticky. It's seriously amazing. I ordered the gyro wrap, chicken shawarma wrap, and dolmades. I'm embarrassed to say I ate it all...but, it's because in a long time, I haven't had food so fresh with such great flavor in Maricopa. Be prepared to order extra tzatziki sauce or hummus... And some of the people of Maricopa on Facebook.. please, please don't be ignorant. This is not Greek food. This is Middle Eastern Cuisine - specifically Lebanese. Who set this up as Greek Food?? Look up the origins of Tabbouleh, Babaganoush, Kafta, etc... I've worked at an authentic Middle Eastern Restaurant for two years in Michigan. Gyro Grill is a gem, and the quality of their food surpasses their fast food/carry out joint style... On one Saturday afternoon, my wife and I were sitting at home desperately trying to decide where we were going to eat. We had recently been hearing wonderful things about Gyro Grill and have had an itch to try it. However, we have been saying that for over a year since moving hear from MN. Since we both felt that we were on the edge of starvation and not sure how big the servings were, we decided on the buffet at the casino. After stuffing our faces we sat at home till 8:30 in agony. It came to the point though that we knew we needed to get something to eat to avoid going to bed hungry. Finally after a year of saying one of these days we made our way to the Gyro Grill. We walked in being well greeted by the person at the register. It looked like any other hole in the wall fast food joint. Now it is important to note that any other gyro that we had was the size of any basic sandwich. So we both ordered gyros and the gyro fries. Now my only regret was that we didn't order a side of the fries instead of the full order (I'll get to that in a minute.) As I looked down at my order I was greeted by a gyro stuffed with so much lamb Ron Swanson would approve (Parks and Recreation come on people.) With my first bite I came to realize this was the best damn gyro I had ever had. The tzatziki sauce mixed with the seasoning on the lamb paired perfectly like Joe Montana and Jerry Rice. At halfway through I realized that we could have easily came here for lunch and been more than satisfied as the buffet and gyro in my belly was like torture. I couldn't finish my gyro or the fries and we rolled out of there still half a gyro each but not before being asked by the cook if everything was to our liking (something you don't get from the burger flippers at your basic burger joint) which I replied with a weak yes. We had the other halves of our gyros the next day cold and it was just as good as the night before. 10/10 would certainly eat here again, just not go to the buffet the same day. read more
