I usually get their Dulce de Leche shake as it's so creamy and soooo delicious, where it comes with four scoops of dulce de leche ice cream, fresh milk, and a drizzle of warm caramel (you can ask for extra caramel drizzle if you're a caramel lover; I usually opt out of the whipped cream). My brother went to get some ice cream and as he was fiddling with his phone to pay, the woman checking him out insisted that he was trying to steal the ice cream without paying. She liter unscooped the cream in his face and claimed to cancel the transaction after charging his card. She called mall security over who saw the transaction go through and never apologized. He was ultimately charged $14, walking away with no ice cream but an awful experience. read more

Small location. They don't have too many options, but have the usual Haagen-Dazs flavors. I got the Belgian Chocolate, which was creamy, thick and chocolatey. The small cup comes with about 2 small scoops of ice cream. There is a bench located in the area where you could sit, or find elsewhere in the mall. This location was a lot cheaper than Tyson's mall for scoops, but the pint size cost the same. If you're looking for basic flavors, this is a good place to go. read more

This is a small Haagen-Dazs location in the mall with the usual ice cream flavors. Getting the standard fare is probably okay, just don't order anything fancy or start customizing it. We got some ice creams with toppings - M&Ms and Gummy Bears. The Gummy Bears were too dry and chewy and the M&Ms tasted and smelled old. The store employee could not care less when we pointed this out - we had already paid at this time. So, thumbs down for the quality and customer service. read more

Ice cream isn't suppose to stress you out and give you a hard time. It's just not in its nature and certainly NOT on its job description. What was suppose to be the final treat before I headed home to get some work done quickly became an escalating tragedy. Yeah, "tragedy." Frikkin first world problem fo'sho. I got the Dulce de Leche ice cream in a cone and all was well at first. Sure, it was starting to melt all over before I even finished paying, but I was like, "It's ice cream. They melt. I can deal with that." Drip, drip, drip...hands completely sticky before I even got to my car. I thought I would get to casually enjoy this ice cream, instead of competing for the 'Fastest Ice Cream Eater' award... that much sugar all at once doesn't taste like bliss, I tell ya. But still, no biggie! It wasn't an ideal la la la ice cream experience, but the bulk of the ice cream was still in the CONE. So, I go ahead and tear the paper off the cone as gently as I can, not wanting to jerk the cone and end up tossing the ice cream across the car, like bird poop plopped on your windshield from the inside. (Great imagery, huh? Yeah, being pissed really does take my anger to wonderful levels.) Well! I mind as well have tossed that ice cream across my car because as I unravel the paper STUCK on the cone, the entire cone breaks into pieces (the paper is still stuck on that piece of the cone tho!) and ice cream comes tumbling down all over my clothes and, best of all, my car seat. I ain't got no pics because I was rushing to clean myself and the car as best I could. Thank God I only had plans to go home after the mall. Maybe this was just a one in a blue moon situation for this store, but either y'all don't freeze your ice cream enough, or make sure your cones aren't extremely fragile, or keep yourselves from super gluing the wrapping paper to the cone because this is NOT an experience I've ever been through and I've been to a few Haagen Daz's before to buy ice cream in cones...with NONE of these issues whatsoever. So yeah. Now I have to figure out how to clean the remaining ice cream that soaked through my plush car seats before the milk starts to rot! No complaints about my car currently smelling like Dulce de Leche, but the very thought of it later smelling like sour milk just horrifies me. So thanks, but no thanks. I need a nap. read more

Just a friendly advice. If you go to this store and want your ice cream cake customized, forget it. Haagen Dazs flavors are amazing but you will lose your money if you want it customized. I wished I was told that before. It was my son's 18th birthday!! I ordered an ice cream cake and I asked to have Happy Birthday on it. I was shocked when I went to pick up. There was no more time to fix it. The birthday party was on that day late at night. I decided not to take the cake and asked her to try to fix that. I asked to make the letters a bit thicker and also add some blue sprinkle on it. OMG! She did nothing. I should have taken a picture before and after. I could not believe what I saw by the time I went to pick up the cake. She just sprinkle a little, very little portion of it but did nothing with the writing. I was very disappointed. read more

I went to the Montgomery Mall, Maryland location with my friend today to redeem the Midnight Dazzler from the current Facebook promotion. Firstly, the manager rudely asked for the name/email address part of the emails which is not required according to the coupon. Secondly, she gave us each an ice cream cup of 'Midnight Dazzler'. She claimed to have run out of cups (even though we saw that they had the cups) and also claimed that what she put into the ice cream cups were equivalent to what would have been in the real cups. That was impossible unless she could defy the laws of physics b/c the ice cream cups were much, much smaller. The contents in the ice cream cups looked to be less than 50% of what would have been in the full-size dazzler cups. My guess is she thought she only had to give out smaller, sample sizes (when she first handed us the ice cream cups, I heard her mention the word 'sample'), or she was trying to cheat us with much less. She was rude and unyielding, pressuring us to accept it or make yet another trip to a different location. I finally rejected it while my friend reluctantly accepted it since it took a lot of time and efforts to make a trip there. Eating it, he confirmed that the portion was indeed less than half of what would have gone into a Dazzler cup. He said it didn't even taste like a dazzler. read more

This store changed management a few years ago and that has made SUCH a difference! The owners work there almost every day and they are wonderful, helpful people. This is the place for ice cream cakes! We've picked up two "Ribbon Cakes" for two birthday celebrations and each time they were big hits - eaten to the last spoonful. The Ribbon cake is comprised of one or two ice cream flavors in either 2 or 3 inch thicknesses in three sizes. I recommend the 3"for sheer decadence. The 3" thick 10" wide cake was enough to feed 15 happy people. Anyway, the cake is ringed with crispy Pirouline cookies, so you have that as your cake-carb component instead of the usual frozen and untasty cake layer in other, and let's face it, lesser ice cream cakes. Our cakes were nicely decorated with fudge-accents and a little bit of whipped cream with a nice ribbon around the whole thing-all of which made for a nice presentation before everything (but the ribbon) was devoured. Sampling ice cream flavors to get the right combination for my cake was the best part of the ordering process. My spouse's favorite combo is Mint paired with the deep chocolate flavor of the Belgian Chocolate. I turned out to be a Coffee and Vanilla Chip man. Nice staff and manager. Really, everything is nicer with ice cream and Haagen-Dazs is the best! read more

On Free Cone Day, May 8th, I witnessed a most rude and cruel behavior from this place. I waited in line to get my free cone. Suddenly, this tall young schmuck working there started laughing and said, "8:03 pm, Sorry guys, you're too late!" The family that was waiting in line ahead of me with their son and daughter, were shocked....I'd say their kids were 4 and 5, and the kids started crying since they were "too late!" The father offered the kids to pay for the kids' cones instead, but the mother was so furious as I was, and rightfully so, we all just left. First I want to say that I love Haagen Dazs, unfortunately a couple of weeks ago I visited the shop at Montgomery Mall and was so disappointed by the customer service. There were two employees there, one of them did a great job but the other girl was extremely rude. She was very unpleasant.
