As someone who was recommended to come here, I will never return. Josh was completely rude, and his comments were unprofessional in front of myself and other customers. He was truly an embarrassment to this establishment. There are plenty of nail places in Portland with professional people who put their customers first. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Not to mention, Josh even advised me, "Saturday's always feel like the longest days." My nails turned out awful. My cuticles were so bad so I had them redone immediately after at the Artne' Spa. A very nice clean small nail place. A large selection of polish colors and a pleasant atmosphere. I would have given it a higher rating but I felt that the bowls where you place your feet were on the small side. I wear a size 7 shoe and it just felt small. The bowls do not have jets so you don't get that massage feel. I would certainly go back as it is close by and very efficient. read more

In town for just a few days but needed a good gel mani and pedi for an event this weekend. This salon is beautiful, had a great atmosphere and the two women were super nice. They have a nice variety of gel colors and I'm very pleased with the results. Best part may be the Saran Wrap/oil trick they did on my toes so I could put my boots back on and not wreck the polish. Excellent nail services! I would say it's on par to the mani and pedi I received at Studio One. I don't think it's holding up quiiiite as well but there's a bunch of factors that are part of that. And I can say that the experience and atmosphere here is definitely the highlight. It's so clean and comfortable. Their chairs are big comfy white couches. You're offered champagne to start. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Everything is thoughtfully put together. It's quite and relaxing. They had a good selection of polish choices but I'd love to see a salon that has some of the other lines that I really love, like Deborah Lippmann and Butter. These polishes are more of an expense but I think they're really worth it for the clientele that will probably be coming in to a nail bar like this. read more

My mom, sister & I had express manicures & pedicures the day before my wedding in June. It was THE BEST mani/pedi I have ever had. It lasted so long and was literally perfect (I've had them and sometimes the polish has a little bubble or slight flaw). The 'bar' is a very chic` well designed atmosphere that is comfortable and fashionable. The staff is friendly and talented. They were also super accommodating & kind when I was 40 minutes late! Amazing!! I came in sobbing from a botched dip job from another salon. Completely last minute appointment but they fit me in! They not only listened to me complain but took off the dip, fixed my cuticle disaster and put on strengthener for my brittle nails. I can't wait to go back for a fresh dip! read more

I was completely overlooked. Zoe was my nail technician. She started immediately pushing my cuticles back and filing my nails. I noticed people around me had their hands soaking in bowls of soapy water. She never soaked my hands. I've never ever had a manicure where my hands were not soaked. I was under the impression that soaking your hands in water would help soften your cuticle so they could be pushed back easier. She cut three of my 10 cuticles to the point of bleeding. She was very rough perhaps because my nails and cuticles had not been soaked.I walked about a mile to get to this nail salon that has been recommended by several locals. I was very thirsty and never offered a glass of water much less wine or champagne. Most of the women sitting next to me were offered and drinking wine and champagne. On top of everything she didn't seem to have time to polish my nails because her next appointment arrived. I was right on time for my appointment, was not late, and was surprised that she left me in order to start someone else's pedicure. A neighboring nail technician came over to polish my nails and was very sweet. She did a very nice job polishing them. When she finished polishing my nails she asked me if Zoe had told me to take out my wallet for payment earlier so I wouldn't have to do it once my nails were painted. I told the technician no I was never asked about payment at all. I also told the girl who polished my nails I felt a little overlooked and neglected that my hands were not soaked in water nor was I offered anything to drink. She apologized on Zoe's behalf. I would never go back here and I would suggest if anyone does go here to ask for any technician except for Zoe. I am sure this was one exception out of many and this rarely ever happens but sadly it happened to me the day before my stepdaughters wedding so I was extremely disappointed. read more

I got my nails done with Shellac for my wedding by Salinna and my only was the experience great, but my nails came out beautifully! I showed her a pic of what I wanted and she made it happen. Did I mention they give you mimosas and it has trendy and fun decor? I went to Hawaii on my honeymoon and did a lot of outdoor activities and they stayed looking great! It has been two and a half weeks now and they still haven't started peeling yet! I have never had a manicure last this long. read more

My friend and I booked $30... "mini-pedicures" at the HB Paint Bar, 6 Circle Sq, Portland, 09/01/19. It was my first time there. The Paint Bar is very different than what I am use to... this place is high-end fancy. Where I live in Cambridge a full pedicure $30, at my neighborhood salon. When we arrived the salon was nearly empty, only one person was having their nails done, another was finishing up. The woman who greeted us confirmed our appointment...from there basically it was... hurry-up-pick-your-polish-and-take-a-seat. With so many colors to choose from my friend and I were pondering what to choose. This woman circled us again asking did you pick your colors... Mind you we had only been there a few minutes. My friend said she was looking for a particular shade by name... It's there the woman said... she turned her attention to filling our foot baths. Nonetheless my friend couldn't find the polish and asked for her help.... Just take a seat... I'll find it for you. My friend and I sat side by side placing our feet in water, as we waited for our manicurists. My friend's manicurist was the woman who greeted us then rushed us... So, did you pick out your polish? Noooo... you said you would find it for me... A look of annoyance. My manicurist never introduce herself, my pedicure began with a tapped to my leg for me to remove my foot from the bath. Meanwhile a new group of patrons walked in, the woman who greeted them offered a choice of bottle water, tea, coffee and champagne... Apparently mini pedicures don't qualify for refreshments. Mini pedicures are basically a quick soak, polish removed, nails trimmed and re-polished, no pumice stone on heels...hardly worth the $30, plus tip. The music they played was distracting, loud pyrotechnical and rap, Not relaxing or enjoyable. My manicurist did a good job paintings toenails but it was a lousy experience, not worth going there again. read more

I have very mixed feelings about this place.... I brought my bridal party in a few weeks ago for pedicures and manicures. The environment and decor was amazing. All the girls were friendly, and easy to communicate with, we loved every single one of them. They offered complimentary wine/ champagne. It was truly fabulous. The only issue was with the quality of the nails. I had a girl doing mine, and she did a BEAUTIFUL job. My nails still look perfect three weeks after my wedding!!! She really knew her stuff. But my two bridesmaids and my mother, done by other people, their nails came out pretty bad. My first bridesmaid that finished, texted me right after she left "my shellac manicure is cracking all over!!! It looks terrible but I don't have time to come back and fix before rehearsal!" My mothers nails were all peeling off and 3 were broken the next day at the wedding. My other bridesmaids nails were cracking and chipping two days later. Although I had a good experience and I love my nails, I felt really bad because they were all very unhappy... And this place isn't cheap. I think that I would go back if I was certain I could see the girl that did my nails. Or I would give it another try maybe after the other girls get a little bit more experience. I am not sure what happened and like I said, I wanted to love this place. read more
