I havent been to EVERY H&M in LA but this one has to be the worst so far. Even after the remodel from the typhoon disaster area they called a H&M store. It seems like the hot shit they advertise, this store only gets 5 pieces of it or maybe not at all. The rest of the store is like an H&M outlet. They get the sales and the ugly shit that only goodwill shoppers want so they can garden or work a sweaty job. And it sux bc they are in the Galleria in Glendale. Even UO is fantastic here, fantastic and expensive, but still it doesnt seem like they get the leftovers. I wish I could rate this place high again, but after the remodel, I feel like their customer service has dropped a bit. Even on slower days the staff seems to be busy too be helping customers, its almost intimidating to ask them for help. But don't get me wrong there are still a few sweet staff members. Also is it just me or is it an oven in the store? After shopping at forever 21 I'm freezing, but stepping into the kids and men's department here is horrible. My niece couldn't finish trying on clothes because she was sweating too much. If you're not gonna hire more staff H&M at least make your store comfortable to shop in. It pains me to have to give an H&M one star, but this place earns it. Congratulations on sucking just hard enough Glendale H&M!!! The issue with this store is the sales associates, it is like they hired one person with a bad attitude.....and then it spread like an epidemic. To be fair, I did have one curly haired young woman smile at me. Everyone else seemed to be pros at avoiding eye contact and giving that petrified "please god no, don't talk to me" look. I could have easily let this all go, but what really irked me was when I finally went to purchase my items-the cashier audibly sighed and visibly looked pained to have to ring up my items. Are you freaken kidding me emo boy? I guess the way I looked just irked him so because I was purchasing items during their "get an additional 50% clearance items" sale and he rang it up at clearance price. When I mentioned it, his words were "No, SALE as in for sale." I felt like I unintentionally pissed on his parade or something, and just was done for the day. So it ended with me coughing up $40 for a H&M dress. A plain sheath at that. H&M has replaced the Gap as the go-to-place for hip mass-production clothing for well-dressed young adults. Since UNIQLO still hasn't made it to California yet, H&M is a welcome addition to the ever-expanding Glendale area. The great thing about H&M is that you can make an outfit for relatively cheap. You don't have to wait for a sale to buy stuff here, because it is reasonably prices, especially compared to the inflated retail prices of Abercrombie and Banana Republic. I went into this location at the Americana looking for a nice dress shirt for more formal occasion. They also have matching pants and a blazer, but unfortunately I am really strapped for cash at the moment. Anyways, I walked out the door with a $29 shirt. It looks great, but I might be turned into a smug hipster. At least that is better than turning into a douchebag by shopping at Abercrombie. If I had money, I would have had 5 new outfits, and some underwear and suspenders. Even the denim here is affordable. The only problem I see with the clothing here is that affordability usually leads to McFashion. You might have the same shirt as the guy down the street, so accessorize accordingly. read more

My mom bribes me with pinkberry every time she wants me to go to H&M with her... Not that I don't like the store, its just I don't really shopping. Specially in this location, its way to crowded... With that said... H&M has a great collection of clothing with very reasonable prices. Problem is that its too crowded so you get annoying bumping into people and the line for the dressing room can be too long. The employees are very helpful and most are really nice.. I first started shopping at H&M in London, they are more of a European type of styles... I was about to pay for my $130 purchase (which bought me a lot here...I was in a good mood), when I asked for Validation on the parking IN the Americana Parking Garage. To which the cashier told me THEY DON"T VALIDATE PARKING!??! What?! Absolutely ridiculous! So don't pay for parking here - park at the Galleria across the street and walk to the Americana, and complain to the managers at H&M. Transitioned from Forever 21/Urban Outfitters to H&M, but decided .. not! .. Have been going to this location since it opened, but after a very tragic situation with one of their managers (Bryant--that's right I said it!), AM NEVER stepping into an H&M EVER again! He was VERY disrepectful, rude, and had no customer service experience under his belt whatsoever. This jackass had the audacity to call me rude and even asked me to leave the store. This location is crazy busy on weekends but not chaotic. My wife and kids love this place. It's great for growing kids that are fashion conscious. We love it because of the prices. i'm glad we have a place were the kids can shop at good prices. read more

Clothes -- great, cheap, I got 3 polos today at $9.90 each... can't really beat that. Service - I've seen better. I don't really expect much from a discount store when it comes to service, but I do expect some basic principals. First -- don't argue amongst yourself in front of the customers. I'm still not really sure what "J" and "D" were upset about, but something is going down at H&M. I know that management is upset that someone is saying something and that there's going to be a HUGE company meeting. "J" seemed upset at "D" because he thought he was the one saying whatever it was.... (mind you, this is all while he's ringing up my clothes without even looking at me).... I looked around once for the cameras, it was like a scene out of the Real World. One of the guys was complaining that he was not up for a promotion for another year because of having been written up.... Friday night. Still haven't found a dress for a wedding which is at 10am Saturday. Panicking. When you don't have much money to spend on a one time dress, still want something stylish, and need it right away, where does a lady go? Okay, maybe not a lady but I go to H&M. Glendale's H&M is huge, they carry the trend items (not all H&M carry trend), and they are open until 10pm on Fridays!!!! Everywhere else closes around 7pm (Sunset) or 9pm (malls) but this store gives you one more hour to run around and shop. One more hour counts for a lot when you're on a time crunch so make sure to come here when you're looking for a last minute outfit or a cute outfit on a budget. :) I heart H&M! read more

My favorite H&M location! It's the largest 2-story H&M in the Los Angeles county and it's just simply... THE BEST. The women's clothing cover the entire first floor. The second floor carries mens', l.o.g.g. (casual men), divided (sub-brand for teens), and children's clothing. Accessories (scarves, handbags, jewelry) are located throughout the store. I love the women's section because they always have a lot more variety than other H&M locations. They have more sweaters, types of dress, designs - just more, more, more! The only thing they don't have more is stock :( Their sizes are limited and they go very fast, so don't think, "oh I'll think about it, I'll just get it next time," 'cause the shirt you were eying for a good half hour won't be there next time. Either buy it on the spot, or put it on hold (only 1 day, until the next night when they close). The mens section is very nice as well. They actually carry SUITS whereas at other H&M locations, they have one blazer here and there. This location carries vests, formal ties, casual skinny ties, dress belts, dress shirts, and suits. Suits, suits, suits. I can't say it enough because they're just so nice and no other location carries them. Hours of this location are very convenient as well. Mon. - Thurs. : 10 am - 9 pm Fri. - Sat. : 10 am - 10 pm Sun. : 11 am - 9 pm Parking is also convenient at the Americana (I advise you to park on the 5th, 6th, 7th floors because that way you can park right next to the elevators/escalators); 3 hours free with validation from Cheesecake Factory (I usually just go in and pretend I ate there earlier). If you need to stay longer than 3 hours... park across the street at the Galleria. read more

I love this H&M.... Why? Cause it's brand spanking new and located in the Americana. Why? Cause the Men's department here is actually pretty big and has tons of great selection... Why? Cause whenever I feel like being cheap I come here and buy a new outfit for under $80 bucks without regretting it. And this one is always updating their rack... It's nice to know that the sweater you bought last week is no longer on sale there cause they just updated their rack.. I like a store that updates frequently. read more

Feelin' a little generous, so I'll give them 2 stars for trying. I came here the other day (Wednesday) to find a present for my mom this upcoming Mother's Day on Sunday. I wasn't greeted upon entrance, which I don't mind but it can really change a shopping experience. No one offered to help me at all, actually. The reason for the lack of the 3 other stars is because of their customer service. I didn't mind waiting in line- all registers were being used. When it was my turn, I was called to the register by a 20-30 y/o female, whom I did not catch the name of. Her attitude when screaming "next in line" was not a tone of voice I would like to hear. The worst part: Upon ringing up my items, I could see she was definitely in a rush (the line wasn't that bad, which I didn't understand). I was paying with a card & she told me the instructions for the keypad in front of me. I KID YOU NOT- she recited the whole phrase "Slide your card, enter your code, press the green button, press yes" in the time span of 3 seconds. And the way she handed over the bag, I interpreted it as pushing me out the door. I understand she wanted to get rid of me as soon as possible, but that was highly rude of her to rush me in the disrespectful way she did. I am a paying customer, please give me the appropriate customer service I deserve. read more

Quick Tip: Poor Customer Service. This H&M is pretty solid. I have to say I'm not a huge fan of their clothes but occasionally I'll find something nice. The customer service sucks. Geez I was shopping here this past Saturday and when it was finally my turn to get ringed up at the registered the employee doesn't greet me, he continues to talk to his coworkers next to him (huge gossipers), and he doesn't say 'thank you' after I'm done paying. Terrible customer service. They have lots of cash registers, but a majority of them are closed. Instead they make huge crowds squish in between clothes. It is so narrow that I couldn't get a stroller through :(. When I told the lady ringing me up, she gave me attitude. WTF!!!! I am tempted to call the fire department, because it is not a safe/organized way to treat customers wanting to pay for your merchandise. Back in the day their prices were crazy cheap, but not so much anymore. My advice is go to the Juniors Dept at Nordies or next door to forever 21. Not worth the shitty customer service. read more

Came into the store at 7:45 (yelp and google say they close at 9) as soon as I stepped in multiple employees kept reiterating to each customer that they are closed and that I am no longer allowed to shop because they are closed even though they closed in 15 minutes. H&M has very decently priced clothes. Usually the designs and patterns are more simple and slightly more sophisticated (more work attire) than say Forever 21. I came in today and found some really cute stuff on sale and bought them. I came home a few hours later and tried on the clothes I bought and started panicking because one of the items I purchased was not in the bag. I called the store right away and told them what happened and they said they found the item and will put it on hold for me. I drove to the store and spoke to the manager and after she reviewed the security tapes she gave me my merchandise. I'm not mad only because in the end I was able to get my stuff, but the sales associate who wasn't paying attention and didn't bag my stuff...what gives? A little kid that looked maybe 3 yrs old was riding a scooter,sucker sticking out of his mouth, down the ramp meant for clothing wardrobes to roll down out of the dressing rooms.(. for about 15 minutes that I saw. ) I mentioned it to an employee and she just said "oh he's been doing it for a while now, we can't say anything to parents". The store itself is clean and all but the staff there needs a little training on empathy and keeping busy with actual work. I was there with my young daughter and sometimes kids just need to use the bathroom at the most random times. While we were looking around for someone to ask about a bathroom on the second floor, I find 3 staff members just standing around and chit chatting. I mentioned that this is an emergency and if my daughter can use the bathroom and one of the snooty girls says... oh, it's downstairs near the concierge (outside of the store!) and continues her conversation. I mentioned that this was a bit of an emergency and that I didn't want her to have an accident in the store, but she was like, no, there's no bathroom here. What a LIE. Most stores especially a large one like H&M has at least one restroom in there. I know I didn't look like a homeless person or panhandler, but she couldn't have showed the smallest bit of understanding. I ran out with my daughter, got on the slowest elevator around (my mistake to go on that), prayed she wouldn't have an accident and made it on time to the restrooms by the concierge... only for my daughter to be traumatized by the neverending auto-flush toilets in there. I'm sure not everyone at that H&M is this cold and not understanding but it sure made me not want to go back there after this small incident. I'd also like to mention that the store was pretty empty since it was at opening. Don't you have shelves to restock instead of standing around and doing nothing? I have only come in this H &M one time and I will never return again. I bought a few items and decided I would try them on at home because the store was so packed. I figured I would try on the clothes and bring back what didn't fit. Only two of the items didn't fit me so I brought them back. I had the receipt and the tags were still on the items. I was returning them literally the next day so I figured all would be well. I got the counter and a young man helped me. He looked at the clothes and said "You wore these" Now I work in retail and I know that you are never suppose to accuse the customer of anything. AT ALL. So I calmly said no sir I just bought them last night and they do not fit so I am bringing them back. He said "well the tag is attached to a part of the pants that we never attach it to, so yes you did wear them" I was so shocked. Basically he was accusing me of wearing them in one night and reattaching the tag. I said I did not wear them and you need to return them sir and give me my money back. He said " I will do it for you just this one time" What makes me upset is I guess even if you don't wear the clothes you cant return them. This location is huge! If they don't have it here, it's probably out of fashion. Some workers can be helpful (like the guy I encountered downstairs Thurs... very helpful), and others can be pretentious (like the guy I encountered upstairs... find a different job if you hate helping people find clothes). I like H&M overall because they make fashion more accessible to people who are more conservative in spending. I'd definitely come back to this location... The selection is impressive! read more
