We've happily spent thousands of dollars there over the years, and it was always a great experience. But over the last eight months or so, I've started to dread walking through those doors. Not because of the products, but because of the customer service. The latest example? We were turned away from entering 10 minutes before 10:00 a.m. on a weekday because we aren't Executive Members. There wasn't a single customer waiting to get in. Zero. It wasn't about crowd control or capacity, it was simply, "No." Come on, Costco. Loyalty should count for something. A little common sense and a little kindness go a long way. We love shopping here, but experiences like this make it harder and harder to keep coming back.

A lot of it is very affordable and with the executive membership check that comes home year end it makes Costco totally worth it. We have gotten tires for our cars here and also have Costco insurance. I love the one stop shop feature with Costco. We recently had an incident outside the tire shop where someone kept honking and cursing at us for taking too long to get air. We had a Costco employee run to defend us and ask the person to back off. Love the courtesy of the staff. In the clothing section where everything with a big pile of clothes, the staff didn't get angry except helped us sort through the pile to find our size. We'd go back and continue shopping for experiences like this.

We buy certain seasonings and oils only from TJ's as well as cheese and other items. If I list them all, you'll get bored. I absolutely never leave Trader Joe's without fresh flowers for our apartment. It's a TJ ritual that dates back more than a decade for me. Heck, way back in the day (over a decade) when visiting friends in L.A., I would always get flowers for their places from TJ. Anyway, back to the reason you're reading this-you want to know my thoughts on the location and nothing more. So, as I mentioned I don't like the other store for reasons of chaos. This store gets super busy too but parking is much better since there's a decent lot. It's easy to navigate through the store and get to all our favorite things. Service is always typical TJ friendly. Happy and with smiles. Products and shelves are always in stock and filled. Extremely clean store. It's worth the drive out of the city to the 'burbs for this store location.

It can be a little bit much at first, but when you realize the pump can reach around the other side of your car, it makes life so much easier! No more waiting in long lines to get to the pump on your side. Just pull up to any available spot reach around if you need to and get on with your day! Soon as I walked in though, I noticed the line was literally ALL the way to the back of the store down the beauty aisle I'm sitting there like... "Are they giving away free money in here or something?" because I have NEVER seen it that bad before. On top of that, chirren were running around unattended like it was recess. Then what really got me was it was around 5 PM and there were boxes EVERYWHERE. And when I say everywhere, I mean EVERYWHERE. I'm guessing the night shift hadn't stocked yet, but trying to maneuver through those aisles was frustrating. It was basically me sliding sideways between people and boxes trying to shop. I couldn't find my normal items, so I asked one worker for help, but baby she had both AirPods in and acted like I was invisible So I asked another employee that was stocking, and she actually stopped what she was doing to help me, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, we still couldn't find the item. Big bummer. At that point I was just walking around hoping the line would magically get shorter. Spoiler alert: it did not. By the time I finally got in line, it was still wrapped halfway through the aisle. Then FINALLY somebody must've said, "Hey... maybe we should open another register." Well duh I jumped into that line and eventually checked out, but for me to only have a few items that fit in ONE bag and still spend that much time in there? Crazy work. I'm giving a fairly low score this time because the whole experience felt like pure chaos. Hopefully it was just an off day because this is normally one of my favorite Dollar Trees.

There aren't huge piles of merchandise blocking walkways, making it hard to see the shelves. I'm not really liking how the prices are all over the place. There's not much clarity on how much anything is. We went from $1.25 to $1.50 seemingly overnight and now most things are $2 with many items hanging from $5 to $20. It's almost as if the Dollar Tree is now the Dollar General.
