Ahhh the new HEB! It's so beautiful and has so many different things. There is a cafe, nice produce, bakery with single cookies, muffins, & donuts, sushi, a cute little section with gifts, etc. Basically such a good HEB. The one thing they don't have is an Indian food section. I'm noticing a lot of the HEB's don't have this and it's annoying. But I can overlook it for how much I love HEB in general :) read more

LOVE this new HEB! It is spotless, the selection over the top. I'm going to drop my mother-in-law there when she visits from Indiana--she will love to browse for a couple of hours. She will have shoppers envy. The bakery, yum! Try the rosemary sourdough. Heaven! Staff is super-friendly and all of the lanes were open to check out--no wait. The fish counter--wow, fresh Chilean Sea Bass and delish Cod for our fish & chips nights. The meat counter--well, this is Texas and I think I'll take one of everything. HEB has to be the best grocery store I've ever shopped at. I like that it's a Texas only chain (well, Texas and Mexico) and I like looking at employee badges to see how long people have worked for them. A lot of younger people will have 4+ years on their badge and that makes me think HEB must take good care of them as far as scheduling and pay. I love their low sugar & high protein Mootopia milk. I drink a couple half gallons every week. read more

Had an experience here that will definitely cause me to use another grocery store. Went to the deli counter because someone requested aged cheddar on their burger. I didn't know about aged cheddar and inquired. Turns out, its not a sliceable, burger-appropriate cheese. When my wife and I passed by the deli counter a minute later, a short, dark haired deli girl was actually talking about what an idiot I was and making fun of me. Sorry my cheese knowledge isn't as vast as some, but there's no need to publicly shame my cheese knowledge! I'll shop in Georgetown where I don't get made fun of for cheese ignorance. I will give kudos to their meat counter though. They're the reason I'm giving two stars instead of petitioning to have stars taken away. Very helpful, very friendly and fulfills special requests. Too bad the deli employees publicly shame folks. Makes it an unpleasant environment. read more

Oh, HEB, how I miss you! This store was very well laid out. Usual fantastic selection and prices. I loaded up on Taste of San Antonio coffee and Sweet Leaf tea. We made a fantastic meal of the high quality meats and vegetables offered. I don't get the clothing sold mid-store though. Don't try to be Walmart, HEB. Just be HEB. read more

It's new, so it should be clean. It's new so it should have good selection. Both are true here, but two things I don't get. First why such a huge pet section? It's kinda out of proportion. Plus the milk area is closed off on one end. It's kinda hard to make you way around that part of the store. Other than those two things, I enjoy it, but not enough to make a special trip. I am so happy to have a new HEB in this area. The one on 79 is so crazy busy and just ridiculously huge. The employees at this new location are very helpful and friendly. Since I've recently been laid off going to the grocery store is kind of fun because it gets me out of the house (how sad haha) They always have cooking demonstrations with samples. I tried a spaghetti squash that was really great, she gave me the recipe and I look forward to making it soon. Art (wine department) was really helpful while I was there shopping for some holiday wines, they have a great wine selection. read more

So I did a Vega demo this past weekend and this store is quite big. It is a nice HEB and the produce section was very nice. The customer service was great and the store is a typical layout of a big HEB. I didn't know this HEB got so busy and honestly didn't know that many people lived out in this area. They do have a cafe on the run, but I wish they would put Buddha's Brew Kombucha on their drink wall.. I had to walk to healthy living to buy my Kombucha, when I could of done it quickly off the drink wall. The fresh fruit and guac area is nice and the haberano quac was sooooo good! The lines were too long to purchase my stuff and over all if I was back in town, I would definitely shop here again. read more

I was picking up cookies, milk, cheesecake, sour patch kids, and a snickers bar for a PREGNANT WIFE last night. As i scrambled to find everything, pay and get home before I turned into an episode of CSI I left my wallet on the counter. I didn't realize that I had done that until i got home. I then scrambled to feed the beast and get back to the store and look for my wallet at the store but didn't make in on time. This HEB basically reminded me a fancy walmart. They had everything you could think of here!! They need one in Dallas.

This is *my* HEB. This store has so much high quality food. There's a wonderful organic produce section, meat counter with grass fed beef (much better selection of meats at this location). Seafood counter is always fresh, even has some wild caught and organic options - never has that "fishy" smell (did you know they will steam your shrimp?!) Just ask and they will also skin the salmon. Bulk spices -- fantastic deal! Customer service is top notch. I know all the names of the people who work here - the wine guy is Ed - He always makes excellent recommendations. Mike is the butcher, always helps me choose the best cuts of meat. Cooking connection has fabulous meal ideas. I know the kids who bag the groceries and the ones who ring them up. Everyone is super friendly. The healthy living section is HUGE and has tons of variety. I'm able to find things here that you can't get at other stores. This is pretty important to me because I work out a lot. The store is always clean and well stocked. They have themed specials (loved the Hatch green chiles in August!) We shop here every day, I come in and buy each day's groceries because shopping is pleasant. I usually come in around lunch time and can get in and out in about 15-20 minutes. read more

I decided to order through H-E-B curbside thinking I could just pick up my food and not spend hours shopping in both Walmart and H-E-B. I went to pick up my order in the curbside section. The curbside packer was great. However, I get home and noticed I was missing items from my order. Called the store and was transferred to a lady that basically explained that the person behind me probably got my missing item. She told me that the next time I come to the store bring my receipt and they will give me the missing items. A few things wrong here. No apology for what happened! And how did someone else get my groceries?! I do personal shopping myself and know that the items are bagged and stored with your order # and number of bags on it. The location of the items for your order also. This just shows how inexperienced this service and store are to the personal shopping platform. They charge a fee for this service! With that in mind if they failed to get it right, good customer service rules are that you apologize! I had to use something else i purchased to replace what was missing. Now I need to buy more of that item. Well... one things for certain, I won't be buying from this H-E-B! Big disappointment! Back to Walmart read more

This is the worst bakery. I ordered my bosses retirement cake here, when I came to pick it up the image was wavy and retirement was misspelled. I did not have time to have them make another for pick up the next day because most people order cakes for the day of the event. So disappointing. They comped the price but it still is a disaster of a cake. read more

Being new to The Round Rock area, and Texas for that matter, I quickly learned that HEB is the ONLY game in town. In general it's probably a slightly above average supermarket chain - but over the last few weeks my wife and I have had repeated bad experiences with the produce department and the bakery. Simply put the produce isn't fresh - we've bought ginger, onions and peppers only to get them home and once cutting into them we find they are virtually rotting from the inside. And with the bakery we've tried a variety of items with the best result being mediocre while others have resulted in products that taste artificial and leave a chemically sweet after taste in your mouth. I'd certainly expect more from a chain this size...totally disappointing!!' read more

There pharmacy sucks everyone walks around with an attitude, as if you are bothering them because you are dropping off or picking up your prescription. Do they not realize if they do not have customers using there service they will be out if a job. I will never use them again they messed up on my narcotic prescription and now I have to be without my pain meds when I have my surgery on Tuesday.They lost my business I rather go out of my way then to deal with them again. read more

Such a nice HEB well designed and it feels like a clean new HEB that is still taken care of where other HEBs can be a bit run down and dirty. The staff is extremely helpful and there is never a long line to be checked out read more

The HEB on University Ave does NOT share our values. And the management staff is VERY rudely. Great customer service and way to help your neighbors out in a way that would not have cost you a cent. I will not shop at your store anymore. And I will not refer any of the thousands of customers we see to shop your store for any reason in the future. I took the time and drove out of my way to shop at this HEB, because usually it's nicer and has more variety. Today that was simply not the case. First off, they are changing the layout so watch out! There are so many people in the Isles stocking that you can't get to what you need....if you can even find it. I don't understand why they don't do this overnight, also...isn't this a new store? Why the change already? I ended up skipping alot of isles because I was with my son and it was just too hard to get around. The really frustrating part though, was the produce section. I came in looking for a few certain things, habaneros, purple onions, cilantro, and avocado. The habaneros were brown and wrinkly, the purple onions were HUGE and the ones that were left were slimy and rotting in the basket. They were out of cilantro but did have avocados that seem decent. This was one of the most frustrating trips to HEB ever and now I need to go to another store to get the ingredients I still need to make dinner. read more

The hubby and I LOVE this HEB. Not only are they a HUGE store with ample parking, but they are nice AND helpful, and just awesome! I called a few weeks back to request an item in seafood that they were out of. Not only did they restock the item, but they gave me one of the items free of charge...just for being a good customer! Typically I love this store..... The cashiers are nice and quick, it's a clean store.... But I go to pick up my sons birthday cake that I ordered 2 days ago, and they can't find it!! I absolutely love this HEB. My absolute favorite and I will only shop Heb. However, I saw 3 dogs at my grocery store today! Come on! I get people have "service dogs" but this is also a food establishment and extremely unsanitary. There is no way this is okay. There needs to be a middle ground! All people have rights, not just people with service dogs. Please be aware of this problem before it gets much worse. Not to mention, only one of those dogs I saw was marked as a service dog. read more
