TREATED TERRIBLE. CONSCIOUS SHOPPER NO GO. ALWAYS TREATED POORLY IN ORGANIC SECTION. If you are into using reusable bags or interested in shopping in their organic bulk section I would advise against it. It's worth the extra couple of cents extra you will pay extra at whole foods. You'll have an amazing experience at Whole Foods or Go to HEB and be treated like your stealing banana chips at every visit. I've been harassed and spoken to in a rude manor, more in the organic section at HEB ( this location) than anywhere else I've ever shopped. I was on all separate occasions: 1. Told I couldn't place my shopping basket on top of a wooden display barrel while placing foods in my bulk bag. Not a big deal but it's the fact she treated me really poorly. 2. Shouted at. And I do mean shouted at, to use the tongs, instead of my hands. Which I was already doing. 3. Rudely told to not use the dirty scoops ( the only scoops on the shelf) . When I tried to poor it in, was told RUDLEY not to do that because they would have to clean it up. Not only is it your job to make sure I don't have to resort to pouring it in the bag, it's your job to clean that mess up. A task a five year old could do effortlessly. 4. Today when I brought in my eco friendly -reusable cotton bags ( created for shopping in bulk about the size of a notebook, maybe a bit smaller) I was stopped. In the middle of scooping dried banana chips into my cotton bag and told " Excuse me, NO, you are supposed to use this bags right here ( store bags) No you can't use those. If you use those you won't be able to stick the label on to pay for them" After I explained to him that they were just reusable cotton bags, that I had checked out with them before at the register and it was fine. I was holding another bulk bag with the label already printed and pasted to the front, Did he stop arguing with me. Then politely told me I would be paying more due to the weight of my reusable bag. Wow so nice of him! Oh yeah and at the register one time I was told I could enter the recycling contest because my reusable bag was a purse. Lol This was all from the same couple of employees that work in that section. I could get their names but my real point is as much as we all go to the grocery store, we should shop at a place we can have a good experience at. Whole Foods, Trader Joe, Aldies! They are all have good deals, close by and I am always treated nicely. NOT this HEB. read more

I've shopped at this location for years! The freshness of their produce is awesome. I love the stores layout and my favorite area is the Sushiya Sushi and the samples!! I love their sushi...by far best around. The Health and Beauty Dept is Great they have just about anything you need. The cashiers are always super friendly as well. They always have a Smile on their face ! Although this Heb is not as convient and close to me as my Neighborhood Krogers..I dont mind making the trip a lil further up road to HEB! red velvet cake from the bakery is to die for and I love the fruit bar. I don't know if I could actually do my shopping here b/c it's a little overwhelming. There's so much going on I feel like I have ADD, but planning a nice dinner for 2 this is the place to go whether you are going to cook it yourself or you can just stop by the cafe and pick up a nice selection. I highly recommend this place for the busy family or if you have guests coming it's a life safer. If you are needing a great dessert this is the place. I love their amazing selection here. Potato salad, hummus, sushi, cheese and lunch meats just scream my name when I walk in. I found it incredible helpful to find a gluten free section without the crazy marked up prices and everyone is so super helpful. I feel like they have a Wal-Mart greeter type person in produce. I see him there every time floating between fruits and beers. I thought he was a beer rep at first when I met him at the beer coolers but after a quick chat, I was soon lapping him at import talk. I appreciate the help anyhow. The produce is awesome here, the prepared foods are fantastic and if I could partake in those giant cupcakes, I'm sure they'd be awesome too. read more

This is the best HEB ever. I am so sad that I can't frequent this store as often as I did when I lived in this area of town. It's clean, friendly and always fully stocked. They are everything a picky grocery store shopper could ask for. *Sighs* How I miss my HEB! The stores in Kingwood could take notes on this store! I went here so much, the employees knew my name. Unfortunately, this store is super crowded on weekend mornings, which is when I have time to visit. Also, their hair products section could use some work. A few of the items have apparently been sitting there for awhile and have accumulated dust. But, their beauty section is great! The only thing preventing the HEB from getting a 5 star rating is the existence of Market Street stores up in Dallas. As with All HEB's around here, the staff is excellent and courteous. I'm especially impressed with the Cheese selection at this location. There are stores closer to me than this HEB, but I'll drive past them to shop here. read more

I don't normally take the time out of my day to write reviews about restaurants let alone grocery stores but tonight's service was so incredibly unhelpful that I thought I must write a review. It's almost 10pm so not a lot of shoppers but there are four cashiers open plus the self service stations. One is a normal cashier the remainder are express lanes. At this time of night these are probably good ratios since it's probably only the I need a gallon of milk or baby food run ins. The only lane with clients is the normal lane and the rest of the place is a ghost town. The express cashier looks at my cart which is definitely over the express limit but the store is empty. There are at least two managers making change and two cashiers discussing whatever the days topic is and the cashier says I can't help you. There may be other clients. I'm ok with this until I've been sitting in line waiting for more than ten minutes while they sit there looking at me. It got so uncomfortable for them that they wanted to load the stuff from my cart on to the conveyor belt of the only working cashier. When they start scanning my stuff another customer finally pulls up behind me with more items than allowed but one of the cashiers says you only have 7 items more than allowed so I'm ok with that. To be fair I had 48 items total. 23 were Gatorade bottles. I hope that whoever manages this store reads this and either allows their employees to use common sense or use the same rules for everyone. When given the choice of time or expediency I will not shop here anymore. It was comical if it wasn't frustrating read more

They are indeed racial profiling at this and nearby locations! Be warned! My friends and I tested the theory by sending a variety of our classmates from school into various HEB's in the Spring/Woodlands area. We sent a group of people of different nationalities into their stores to shop. All urban (including a mixed couple) were followed around the store by supposedly undercover loss prevention personnel. (Such typically and eventually reflects the manner by which the brand, it's employees, and their marketeers, tailor not only the products they publicly propel more affordable, as well who they service such to appropriately. We are definitely on the doorstep of filing a lawsuit; we're merely waiting for a few more things to unfold, before moving forward accordingly. Just be warned, they tell management to look out for certain types of people who come into their store(they did it all the stores we went into that night). I will never go back to this HEB. The staff is so RUDE. I had a small amount of trash, threw it away in a sampling station trash can and the sampling lady got in a huge huff, grabbed my trash out of the bin and stormed over to a different trash can aggressively throwing my trash behind her while I followed and picked it up. Love this store as it is clean and has plenty of workers for checkout lines. Meat and produce make Kroger look silly. Also enjoy the smell of crawfish boiling when I leave the store. Only negative is that most shoppers in here block isles and are in la la land. read more

I love love love HEB, but this is by far the worst HEB I have ever been to, maybe grocery store in general. It is dirty, the produce isn't fresh, and I had an issue where I was trying to buy broccoli, but all of the broccoli had worms on it, like tons! I pointed it out to a stocker, he looked at it picked a few off and then went on his way!!! What??? He should have removed them since several had these worms. So gross!!! read more

H-E-B - Grocery Near Me - Spring, Texas

I have a love/hate relationship with this H-E-B... I love H-E-B, they have a great selection of items and speciality food and you don't walk out spending $500 for half a cart as you would at Whole Foods. My gripes are mostly this stores planning. I've been shopping here for about 2 years now and they seem to be continuously out of stock for common items. The store itself is rather busy, but one would hope with this knowledge we could keep supply up. Come for chicken broth? You have about 15 different selections to choose from but only 1 may be available. Don't see it? Check behind the beef or veggie broth, other regular shoppers have what I believe now resorted to hoarding everyday items in different spots in case of apocalypse. (possible exaggeration). Also their checkout process (at times) has been not thought through so well. I have been many times to see a multitude of express check out stands open with 1 or no people and a swarm of shoppers with full carts trying to cram into the slim few that are not express open. Have watched as a management type opened (another) expresss check out lane to "alleviate" the congestion....... Not quite the outside of the box thinking we were hoping for. If you have ever been to H-E-B you know that they have the auto print out scan stickers for fruits and veggies (helps move the lines along so cashiers don't key in the codes) these are great and I'll use them when they are operating (which isn't often). I was called out by a cashier who asked why I only used the stickers for a few items and not all. Had to explain to her that their one machine that worked was on the other end of the veggie aisle and I didn't know it was mandatory for me to fight back through the flow of traffic and people to utilize the one machine that was operating that day so that she didn't have to key in the codes...... Next time I'll remember I'm there to make their life easier lol. Aside from the minor glitches and off the wall employee or two it's a great place to shop. read more

This location is really pretty bad. Everyone who works here seems miserable. It seems like they hate their job. The produce department is terrible. Very limited selection and a lot of it seems old. Tomatoes are put out rotten. The meat department is much the same. You have to really watch the spoil dates. A lot of the nventory is dated the day you are there. I have found many fresh meat items that are out for sale beyond the spoil dates. The custom meat counter is poorly staffed and the people are not friendly. There is an older Hispanic man who works behind the meat counter who will stare at you for a long time before he takes care of you even if no other employees are around. If he does decide to help you he does not put on clean gloves from what he was doing. THAT IS DISGUTING. The other men who work in the meat department act like they are doing you a favor if they help you. The bakery department never has much fresh inventory. I was here this morning about 11:00 AM and they had no fresh bread, buns or anything. Everything for sale was a day or two old and really stale. The store still wanted full price for this old crap. It is always like this at this store. The dairy department is generally a mess with lots of things out of stock. The store used to be nice but it really took a nose dive a few years ago and never recovered. It's to bad. Who ever runs this store is an idiot. read more

Super nice and helpful. Very clean and overstocked. I get my groceries, wine, sushi, meat, seafood, and everything else. Samples are available in each department. I can't shop anywhere else. This store is racist and poorly managed!My son was told he couldn't cash both his graduation gift money orders that were from H-E-B. because one was flagged. I asked the customer service rep to call her manager and she kept telling me she wasn't going to do it either.She finally leaves to go get her manager who never addressed me and only listened to her reps reasoning.I told them they were both wrong in what the reasoning was and ask to speak to the next level of management .The service manager then lied and said she was the only manager in the store.I replied and said I don't believe you are and could you call your supervisor.She than turned to her cashier and said call the cops loudly in front of customers and my sons.I was in shock.I looked at my sons and customers and so were they.I said you want to call the cops because you don't want to cash your own money order.She walks off and suddenly reappears with the store manager.I explained what happened and I thought it was racist and offensive.I said I want to file a complaint on your service manager.She never apologized on behalf of her or her service manager.She took the money order to the back and said she would cash it and waive the fee for my trouble.I said what about your employee she said she was protecting her associate.I replied from what?I said was she threatened or cursed ?She said no ?I said ma'am this racism in your store seems to be systemic.Any time a black man speaks assertively he's a threat.She said she didn't think so.I said you can't tell me my experience.She agreed.I than ask for all names involved and the upper management information.I called the corporate office and gave a statement and they also tried to make excuses for the money order situation and negated the racist experience all together.I still have yet to hear back from anyone in H-E-B and it's been almost 3 weeks.I also previously had a incident in the vintage H-E-B when withdrawing money from the service center through a card with pin but it was handled properly with respect and resolved but the racist vibe was there as well.I will not spend anymore money in H-E-B.I advise any minority especially African Americans to beware.Our dollars are just as valuable as the black athletes they pay to advertise and (falsely promote inclusion in their store) and anyone else.Weaponizing the police to address basic functionality in retail/service industry exposes racist ideology and poorly trained employees. read more

I want to love HEB but I just can't seem to get there. I send my husband there all the time because there are just simply a lot of things they offer that I can't get elsewhere which is frustrating. I just don't like the look and feel of the store... Everything about the ambience is just a turn off to me personally. Also, I've been there several times and the flow of the store just doesn't make a ton of sense to me... I spend a really long time looking for items that I feel should be pretty easy to locate. Overall... This really is a great store but I feel the layout, look and feel are what's missing for me. You can't beat their selection however so if those types of nuisances don't bother you... I have been getting my prescription from this HEB for over a year, I just found out, the people including Pharmacists and Pharmacy Techs in the pharmacy department are stealing medication, about 2 months ago my doctor sent a 90 days supply prescription for my allergies to that pharmacy, they gave me only 30 days supply and charged me for 90 days. I didn't notice that until I had to refill, i went to ask why they did that, and nobody could give me an convincing answer, they just told me to count the medication next time during the next few days after receiving it to report any shortage, today I went to pick up medication for a different illness, it was also a 90 days supply, this time I decided to count, there were for tablets missing, I called them to let them know about the shortage, and they come out that the pharmacist had loaned me 4 tablets before and that was the reason of the shortage, what a stupid excuse, no pharmacy lend you medication, they just didn't know how to excuse themselves. I'm reporting these past two incidents two my insurance company. So they can investigate the fraudulent activities that are happening there and to punish the people that are doing those criminal activities. Of course, I wilk not be ordering anymore medication from there and please any of you be aware of that situation before and after you get any medication from this establishment read more

I prefer to do all my shopping at HEB. The employees seem to enjoy it and I feel more comfortable shopping there for it. It's close to my house, easy to get to and I am not stressed AT ALL when I shop there (unlike another store). Their meat department is absolutely wonderful, including the prices. Love H.E.B. This store has the friendliest staff. Great selection and their prices on detergent and other household products are far cheaper here than at Wal-Mart or Target. Oh my gosh their H.E.B. brand bottled water - variety of flavors - beats the heck out of more expensive brands. Huge bottles are 50cents! What!
