After being quoted an exorbitant amount of money to fix a problem, I took my car to H-Tech Auto for a second opinion. After they looked at it the problem the other mechanic told me that was wrong, was totally incorrect. They wanted to charge me $4000 for something that was not wrong. H Tech diagnosed and fixed my problem for half the amount. They are honest, a fair price, and explain everything in detail. I highly recommend them. read more

Went in for a diagnostic and was charged their standard but high compared to other mechanic shops. I figured I give them a try thinking their price was quality work. I dropped my vehicle and they lead me to believe it may take some time so I arranged a ride back home. After a hour from dropping off my car they called me back in saying my alternator and water pump needs to be replaced immediately and also that my axles and struts/shocks need to be replaced asap as well. They quoted me $1900 to replace alternator and $2500 for front axles, struts/shocks. The price was too high for me to afford at that moment so I called another mechanic to get a second opinion and it turned out my alternator was completely fine and just needed to replace pulleys connected to alternator. I've been driving about 2 months now from my diagnostic from h-tech auto without any issues. With that being said i feel safe to say their diagnostic was fast but disturbingly inaccurate. I fixed my issue less than the $4500 they quoted me. This shop up charges estimates unnecessarily to customers so not trustworthy mechanics in my honest opinion. I honestly love this place. I have already been to this place 3 times for different reasons. I had the chance to meet Bernard, Pete and Riley. They overall just have great attitudes. Loads of expertise and they tell you how it is. I took in my Is F for a check up on Saturday 1PM since i was hearing some whirling noise as of recent with the temperatures changing. Told me i needed to leave the car since they won't have enough time that afternoon. I obliged and left it in their care. Monday morning, Pete told me he throughly checked the car, took it on the lift a couple of times, took a small drive to replicate the noise, and check all engine codes. Cars noise was just due to the aftermarket exhaust tips that were added on. Tubular noise, car was in great mechanical condition nothing to worry about. They didn't even charge me a thing. Took my Honda Accord sport in for an oil change, $40 done! Took my IS F back for some electronic issues, they diagnosed it, said they did some reprogramming no charge, just wants me to be happy. Told them i needed some inner fender work and bumper tabs replacement. They told me keep the car, they'll order the parts and call me back in to get it done. Love these guys, will recommend them every time. TLDR Riley, Pete, and Bernard really cool people. Nice and informative. Kept my car inside garage overnight to make sure my car was safe. What a relief! I've always felt there are two huge negative events associated with owning a car: purchasing from a dealership and getting it serviced. I've always been ripped off and lied to during both. Well, now I have a car I bought from a private party and I found a trusted mechanic, so my nightmares are over. Bernardo got my car in without an appointment and diagnosed it within an hour. He found the problem that I'd suspected and noticed another significant issue that he fixed before it became a disaster. And when I asked him about additional services, he was honest, told me what not to bother with because it'd be a waste of money and what I should keep an eye on and for how long. I truly felt like he was dealing with his own car and advising on how he would maintain it. As a woman, the relief I feel is profound. I would give them 10 stars if I could. Needed timing belt service w/waterpump ($1485) and power steering pump ($200) replacement on my 2008 Odyssey. Bernard initially said they would also be replacing the drive belt ($40) but he would check it and see if I needed it since I had recently replaced it. Took vehicle in at 7:00am and got text at 3:00pm that it was ready. Couldn't get a ride to shop so called and they said no problem they would put it inside until the next day. Picked up the next morning. Didn't need new drive belt and they didn't try to upsell me anything. Drove home and thought all was well. Next morning while driving, the drive belt came off. Called shop and Bernard sent a tech (Joe) out to determine status. When he arrived he saw that the reason the drive belt came off was that the tensioner had failed and fell off and that a tow to the shop was necessary. He called shop and Bernard arranged for the tow. Vehicle was towed to shop and dropped off at around 12:30pm. I knew that the front brakes needed to be replaced and was told that it was a flat $235 including parts for this service providing the rotors could be turned and did not need to be replaced. So I told them to go ahead and do the job while they once again had it in their shop. Next day around 2pm I got a text that the vehicle was ready. When I got there, they explained that the reason tensioner came off was because a previous repair had used a thread insert (heli-coil) that was not strong enough for the correct torque that was used during the timing belt service and had failed. They had to drill out the old bolt remnant and replace the thread insert with a new one that was much more heavy duty and it took over 2 hours to do the job. They also told me that the front brake rotors were OK and only needed to be turned and that they also inspected the rear brakes and they were good. When it came time to pay the bill, I invisioned it was goint to be $800 to $1K but was shocked to see that there was no charge for the towing or labor for replacing the tensioner even though the failure was not their fault. I was only charged for the front brake service, a new tensioner and a new drive belt which was damaged when the tensioner let go. There was no haggling or attempt to charge me for anything else. It was a pleasure to deal with a shop that has integrity and stands behind their work. Anytime I need additional service on this Honda vehicle I will be using them and will recommend them to any Honda/Accura owners I know. read more

Had to wait a week to get an appointment to fix the A/C on my ancient 2001 Honda Accord, but after I took it in they got right on it, and were able to find the problem (leaking hose) and thankfully the compressor was still working. They do a full engine inspection and go over what they found and what are priorities. They never made me feel like I was obligated to add on services like how I would get calls from Sun Auto that they found so and so problems and it's an extra $1200 to fix (like fluid flush). Got fuel consumption problem and my car was as thirsty as having an V6 engine in my 4 cylinder car.
