Had such a great experience here. I had purchased aftermarket running boards and was having a really hard time finding a shop willing to install parts that weren't bought directly through them. Our engine light went on. We took it to auto zone who ran diagnostic tests. They said we needed a valve. We brought our car to I am mechanics and gave them the printout. It was the valve just like auto zone said. They charged us over $100 for the diagnostic test saying it took them an hour. It took auto zone 10 minutes abd they charged nothing. We have been taking our 2 Mercedes here for over 10 years. We asked if the diagnostic tests could be waived. We were told no we treat every e the same. So I guess loyalty doesn't matter to them and if you go there once or 10 years your treated the same. A job that shouldn't have cost more than $350 cost over $500! my warranty company had approved my vehicle for engine replacement. the work was done by I Am Mechanics. They did an amazing job! However, not even a month had gone by and I noticed an engine leak. It was inspected and determined an oil leak. Well my warranty company declined to pay for the repair for an engine they approved as a replacement. Now. The good news. Noe and his amazing crew did the work at no cost to me. Noe says he knew the engine was recently replaced and they checked everything prior to installation but things happen. Through the recommendation of a friend, I brought my F150 into this shop after experiencing a brake malfunction on the way from Yuma to Vegas. These guys understood the importance of my repair and squeezed me in the next day. They were able to accurately diagnose the issue quickly and had the special order parts the next morning and began the repair. I imagine the price was fair/comparable to other shops, but I genuinely felt the integrity of this shop. You're not going to get auto repairs for $1 here, but you'll get an accurate diagnosis, integral repairs, and excellent customer service for way cheaper than you'd get from a dealer. Do not go here!!! They are a huge scam and scamming veterans and college students by charging visual diagnostic fees, knowing that a warranty company does not cover it, yet lie to their customers that they do. On top of charging the warranty and sent the final invoice to the warranty company, miguel the manager, informed us the the car is only 1/4 done but that the car can be picked up. Yet, they sent the final invoice to CARSHIELD the warranty company, and informed them that the car was completed. But informed us that its ok to drive with bad motor mounts and bring it back in later on next week once parts arrive and pay for their diagnostic fee and deducible today. DO NOT GO HERE! CARSHIELD has informed us to file complaints since they have already been paid out. I'll be contacting the BBB and attorney general to a complaint, and also notifyng the local news. read more

My visit was perfectly seamless! I called on Friday evening and scheduled my appointment for Monday morning. I rolled up and was greeted by Noe, and awaited for his diagnosis. After about 20 minutes of watching the news on their flat screen TV, he provided me with a diagnosis and repair strategy. He stated nothing was urgent but moreso, a preventive measure. He gave me the price of the parts and labor, and estimated the parts would arrive in one hour. Therefore, I paid for the parts and went to run some errands. I returned in an hour and he was ready to work on my car. I delightfully took the five minute walk over to Pots and had some amazing lunch. Yesterday, I walk out to my car, and notice a puddle of fluid under my car, just thinking it was "condensation" from ac. Started car(NissanPathfinder), put into reverse, and car did not move, it just seemed to roll. Caught me a bit off guard, put car in park, then back into reverse, the same thing happened, so I knew I had a transmission problem-oh sh...$$$$$ that's all i thought. Got a tow from State Farm, had used I am Mechanics once before (cannot remember), called the guy, he advised me Not to attempt to put in trans fluid, if it's wrong kind, can really damage tranny. Got there(4:30ish), told me they could look at it in morning-got a call at 11:00, scared, wondering how i could afford a major repair-guy called Noey said it was a burst hose, lost all the fluid, the repair and cleanup less i ever imagined- what a great place, picked up at 4:30, less than 24 hours, about 4 times less than i was prepared to pay-Honest, Decent, Reliable. So i called and a gentleman by the name of "Noe" told me that they work on A/C and asked me to come in for an inspection. So i brought my car in for an inspection and he actually took the time to inspect my A/C and pointed out the problem within minutes and I didn't need to get a new compressor because he instantly knew what the issue was. That impressed me because most mechanics aren't as honest and will try to up sell you extra things you don't need.
