Was impressed the minute I walked in, very clean, friendly staff and super cute decor in the front room where they blow dry. Everything about the experience was incredible. I had Mikayla do an "intermediate" treatment. She was gentle, never pulled my hair and gave the best massage ever. I was so relaxed the whole time and will be recommending this place to all my friends and family! She even used brand name products like Olaplex, my hair and scalp feel so healthy. Very reasonably priced for everything included, the water halo faucet was my favorite part. Will be coming back asap!

I was so excited to discover that there's a Korean-inspired scalp care salon nearby in Pleasant Hill. I've been looking forward to trying H2O Head Care Plus, especially their 75-minute "Special Scalp Care" treatment. This review, however, is specifically about their exceptional responsiveness and customer service. After reading so many positive reviews, I reached out to ask if they would consider donating to our children's school fundraiser. I was putting together a "Korean Self-Care" auction basket featuring K-beauty skincare, teas, snacks, and gift certificates - including one for a Korean head spa experience. To my surprise, they responded within a day and were more than willing to contribute a generous gift certificate. Their willingness to support our school community was truly appreciated. The basket ended up selling for $360 and was one of the top three most sought-after items at the auction - thanks in large part to their contribution. I definitely recommend going to this place at least once. Why? First timers get a 20% off their first treatment which is a great deal. Treatments cost anywhere between $150-$200 depending on how intense of a clean you get, massage, facial, etc. I was taken care of by Jenny and she did a great job with me. She showed me with the camera what my scalp looked like which was honestly not flattering at all but it helped to make the decision on what type of treatment to get. I got the special scalp care to help get rid of the all the built up product in my hair that was causing my dandruff and she made sure to put treatments on to moisturize my super dry scalp. Worth every penny. If you look at the after photo, you can see how pink and healthy my scalp looks. Jenny really took her time, making sure to cover every inch of my scalp and was gentle and firm at the same time. I will definitely be back again. There's also another deal that if you become a member, I think the cost is $60 for 5 years, then you can get 20% off every treatment. Not bad! I may have to consider getting it.

I absolutely love coming to H2O Head Care Plus to maintain the health of my scalp and hair--it's important, people! I became a member a while back, so I get 20% off each session, and I try to come at least quarterly. The space is always clean, the staff is always professional, and every visit is consistently relaxing. My scalp and hair feel amazing every single time. During my most recent visit, they were running a promotion: a free 30-minute facial with any head spa treatment. I see an esthetician regularly, so I'd never tried their facials before, and there isn't a detailed description of what they offer. But since it was free and short, I figured why not? I took a peel at what they used afterwards but tt ended up being a simple, gentle facial using a rose cleanser, aqua gel exfoliation, a soothing facial massage, and a thick gel-like mask (looked like some sort of hydrogel). No extractions--just the basics. They started with the facial, and while the mask set, she continued with my usual head spa. The facial was relaxing and my skin felt nice afterward, but I'll be sticking with my regular esthetician since we've been working toward specific skincare goals for years now. That said, I will definitely keep coming back here for the head spas! They're unbeatable. Always a great experience and always worth it. Highly recommend!

It's not bad. Will I be back? Maybe if only someone is paying for me. They offer 20% off 1st time visit which is nice. The place felt clean. I got the Special Scalp care for scalp issues. I called ahead to see if the facial included extractions. They said yes. I didn't receive extractions tho. Towards the end of the facial I asked about the extractions and the tech didn't seem to understand what I was asking. She later understood and said that I didn't request for extractions and that's why she did not do them. I'm getting the feeling that perhaps each staff member may not be estheticians? I'm not sure if that's true but that's my guess. They did show me a couple of up close pictures of my scalp, but did not do a thorough analysis. She just provided a simple explanation like that I had some dryness. I think I expected more from this experience like a more in depth scalp analysis. But they didn't advertise that so that was an assumption on my end. Aside from the lack of extractions, it was an overall good experience. The scalp and hair care portion was very relaxing! My hair felt amazing. They dried my hair with a Dyson hairdryer and used Olaplex products. It was fun experience but not sure if this is something I personally want to pay for regularly. Ask about extractions as your experience may be different from mine. I have been to a Korean spa where they did a full body treatment including hair wash for similar price as this, and I would rather spend my money there, more bang for your buck IMO. But to each their own! If you have the budget for it, this was cool to experience!

I scheduled an appointment ahead of time for two people and was surprised that no deposit or credit card hold was required. To me that is a plus because they are showing their reliance on guests too attend or cancel at a reasonable time. I had the intermediate experience which is originally $150, but received a 20% discount as it was my first time visiting. My friend had the craziest experience that also came with a facial. Overall, the analysis of the scalp plus the shoulder massage and scalp massage that you receive in addition to your treatment as well with the price. My friend did tell me that she would skip the facial because it felt more like a face massage versus a treatment with extra extractions and exfoliation. After the treatment is complete, they walk you out into the main lobby and complete blow drying your hair with a Dyson blow dryer and Olaplex hair products. Everyone was so nice and offered bottled water after the service as well. I really enjoyed my experience and have told a few people and hope they visit as well!

Incredible service and experience! I came here with a gift certificate and originally booked the "Advanced" package, but after seeing how congested my scalp was, I decided to upgrade to the "Expert" package, and I'm so glad I did! Summer took care of me and was incredibly gentle and attentive throughout the entire service. This was my first time getting both a facial and a head spa, and I'm now fully convinced this needs to become a quarterly (if not bi-annual) ritual! I walked out feeling relaxed, refreshed, and completely rejuvenated. It was a true spa experience from start to finish. The space is clean, calm, and clearly well-maintained. I'll definitely be back.. and I'm seriously considering a membership!

First time trying the Japanese-style head spa :P I booked a Saturday afternoon appointment for my mom and me. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the staff and escorted to our rooms. I initially booked two Beginner sessions, but you're actually able to upgrade onsite after they conduct the initial scalp assessment (a bit of upselling... lol oh well). I ended up changing to the Special Scalp session as I was curious how my psoriasis would respond. The initial scalp assessment is pretty quick, my specialist ran the camera through my scalp and pointed out some problem areas while recommending new hair wash techniques to improve my scalp health. I thought it'd be longer, but it was maybe 5~ mins. The remainder of the session was washing hair, scalp scraping, and some massage. TBH a TON of it was scalp scraping, I think all my dead skin cells (and maybe the first layer of my skin) were purged that day LOL. The session ended with hair drying and some styling. Overall, very relaxing-- my scalp definitely felt cleaner and less oily for the week or so after. There's definitely long-term benefits to be had there. I tried their advice of washing every 3 days, but my scalp was way too oily to tolerate it. I think I'd like to try different treatments to see what my skin responds best to. NOTE1: We were running late after some traffic and they graciously moved our appointment time down without sacrificing any time. Super considerate gesture (and lucky us that they were still available then!) NOTE2: I've also purchased gift cards here as Christmas gifts and they're beautifully made! It comes in a red gilded envelope and on nice cardstock~

First time getting a scalp spa treatment as nd it did not disappoint! Me and my three. Friends made appts on a Saturday in the morning, we walked in and staff were ready for us. We decided on the advanced package that include s a scalp treatment, hair mask and mini facial. I had summer working on e and she was absolutely amazing! She explained to me everything we would do, was very detailed & even suggested specifics for my scalp type. The ambiance in the room is immaculate. It is quiet dnd serene with the same water sound playing in the background that put me at ease. The facial was above and beyond and the scalp tee as menu left me feeling squeaky clean. I felt Absolutely relaxed. At the end they blow dry /diffuse your hair so you don't leave dripping. I beyond impressed. Will definitely be returning.

Finally a head spa nearby! I booked the advanced head care which included deep wash and scalp massage, should and neck massage, moisturizer repair hair mask, and facial. Took about an hour and 15 mins. Very relaxing and the massage was great! Lobby and rooms were clean. Would definitely come back! They have a membership available where you get 20% off services valid for 5 years and shareable!

I'm so glad a headspa finally opened up in the area! I've already been twice and loved both visits. It's tucked into a plaza with a bunch of food spots and plenty of parking - super convenient! One thing I really appreciate is that each client gets a private room--unlike some other headspas I've tried that use an open floor plan, which I never liked. Before the treatment, the staff showed me what my scalp looked like through a device and also gave me some great tips for caring for my hair after the treatment. The treatment itself was very relaxing and I may have dozed off a few times! First-time clients get 20% off, and they offer a membership if you plan on going regularly.

I have been wanting to try a head spa for the longest time, so I was so excited to find out that one was coming close by. It was my first time trying it and I have eczema along the edges of hairline, so I opted for the most advanced experience. It was the best hour and a half! The experience started with a consultation of my scalp. Then, it proceeded with a hair shampoo and massage. That seemed to be repeated multiple times. The massage didn't just stop at my head. My shoulders got some attention as well. After the whole treatment was over, my hair was dried using a blow dryer. All in all I loved it. My hair was so soft and clean for multiple days. I even noticed that my eczema area wasn't as itchy for weeks. I will definitely go again since I ended up getting a membership!
