    Zero stars for customer service. Probably the 2 rudest most unfriendly people I have ever (tried) to talk to on the phone. Horribly rude.

The selection is great, the prices surprising and our dogs absolutely LOVE IT. (We have a Great Dane and Mutt). After years of feeding kibble, you feel so good giving them real, healthy, whole food. We also have noticed that they don't get "hungry" as quickly after each meal (I did mention its a Great Dane, he eats 3x a day). The staff is extremely nice. We pick up at their Stratford location but they also have delivery routes (according to their website). Pricing is not bad (even for a Great Dane owner).

Customer service- instead of getting what I ordered they went ahead and changed the entire order. I was not ASKED if I wanted any of these things I was just TOLD. Got an email for an order i did not want! Called and tried to have it sorted out and resolved and it was..... for 6 minutes! I missed a call that they just canceled the order entirely and wanted to start over. That would have been fine, however, when I went to my account. I got charged for the original order AND the order they made up and canceled. It was over $400!!! They took a few days to refund my giftcard and shipping cost which I found strange since they had no problem Canceling the order. I feel like if I didn't reach out I would have never been refunded to begin with. It still shows in my account that I owe them a balance of over $200..... for something i never received or ordered. The worst part for me is reading about their company values on their website and dealing with this. They definitely don't align.

    Save yourself the expens, heartache and hassle by avoiding this business at all costs…read more We were looking for a Labradoodle puppy to add to our family this Christmas and thought we would try Connecticut Puppies and Kittens since we were visiting from out of town. We called ahead to see if they had what we were looking for and if so we wanted to make an appointment to see some puppies. We were assured they had several Labradoodle dogs and we were sent photos. We arranged a time to meet the following day. We drove nearly an hour and arrived to find there was no one at the store to meet us at the time we agreed upon. We tried calling the store and a woman answered and told us she was on her way. After waiting 30 more minutes we tried calling again and no answer. We decided we were done with this place and started to head home. Ten minutes later we get a call from someone at the store asking where we were and saying they were there to meet us. We should have kept going home but we did want to see some pups and it was a bit disappointing no one was there so we turned around. This proved to be a big mistake. They did not have any of the dogs that we were sent pictures of and were told all four of these dogs had been reserved apparently sometime in the past 24 hours. They had some small toy breed puppies that honestly looked too small to be separated from their mother. They were being bottle fed and I'm no dog expert but I would think they'd be eating regular dog food when it was time to put them up for sale. We were shown some poodles and a golden retriever puppy. The golden had a runny eye that was half shut and just didn't look good. We were about to leave when we were told that if we could stay for 30 mins someone would be bringing in some new dogs and there would be a labradoodle among these pups. After waiting about 30 minutes someone did show up with 6 puppies but none were what we wanted. Two husky pups were brought in looking just filthy like they'd been out in the mud. We asked about the pups origins and were told that they all have paperwork from top breeders around the us and some dogs are shipped over from Europe. This seemed highly suspicious seeing the condition of the puppies who'd just arrived. It just broke our hearts seeing these dirty dogs. We got a very bad feeling about this place and left. We will be filing complaints with the BBB and animal welfare. I don't know how this business is allowed to operate as it seemed far from professional or like they even cared about these dogs. Seems like they are just out to make a buck and I would not recommend anyone buy a dog here.

    The Great: The Norwalk store is super clean. The staff are very accommodating and kind and very…read moreknowledgeable. We worked mostly with Allison. She gave us a ton of information, told us where she would be the next day with phone number of the other store so we could reach out to her with any additional questions. She actually just texted me with pictures of the parents of the goldendoodle we purchased (it's after 7pm). I did call the store one day when Allison was out and Pete answered the phone, he wanted to know how the dog was doing, said he has been with the store for decades and if we need anything to just call him. GREAT STAFF. We were talking to some breeders directly and the communication was horrible. Gary has some great employees. Even the woman who bathed and did our dog's claws after purchase clearly LOVED dogs. Very positive store experience. The Neutral: My dog, as others have mentioned was timid and easily startled when first home, but I think that's normal. He's only 10 weeks old, arrived from Missouri only a week before. That's a lot of changes for a little guy. So we have been making sure to keep the house a little quieter and trying to not make noise when he is eating. Basically like the instructions from Gary (Owner) say, no playing or excitement for 3 days. It's day 3 now and the dog (Reilly) is really much more active, running around the house, eating better, and seems to be adapting well to us and the house. The unexpected: Day 3, the little guy seems to have developed a cough. Could be from the stress of the move, he didn't seem to have this when we brought him home. I spoke to Allison about this and was told we would be reimbursed if we were unable to get back up to CT to see their Vet. (We are an hour away). Update: He seems a little better today, he has his check-in/check-up anyway so we just moved up the date at the vet to make sure he's on the right track. I am sure he will be fine. The less positive: When we originally called on the phone, we were told one general price from the Owner for the dogs were were interested in. At checkout the dog price increased more than 50%. We were able to negotiate, but we felt it could have been handled better. The only reason we feel we didn't overpay is because the service and aftercare have been wonderful. And when you get a 10-11 week old baby, believe me you will have questions. This is my third dog, but I quickly realized pups this young are infants, more vulnerable, do more dumb things, eating well and not getting sick is really important.
