PRE-THEATER MEAL Several years ago I watched "Rent" at Golden Gate Theater. Before the show I ate at a burger place just around the corner. The burger wasn't that great and the place ended up closing. Last December before watching the "Mean Girls" I came to Habibi's Birria to eat. I think this location is the same place where I ate the burger. At Habibi's Birria I ordered the quesabirria taco combo. I also ordered the fries. The quesabirrias weren't as crunchy on the outside as I expected yet wasn't as oily as other quesabirrias I've eaten in the past. However I still loved the broth for the quesabirria. The broth added much needed flavor to the quesabirrias. The portion of the fries was bigger than I expected. The main problem was the fries were slightly soggy. When fries are soggy I don't finish eating all of them. Overall I had nice pre-theater dinner prior to the show. After finishing my meal I didn't bloated before the show. The meal I ate at Habibi's Birria was ok, but better than the last time I ate a burger at the old burger place.

Who would have thought that this place will be owned by the founder of Inshallah Mediterranean Cuisine in Daly City? Someone told me to come into this place but I didn't expect Victor, also the business owner of Inshallah Mediterranean Cuisine, would open the door for me. I was surprised because I considered Victor a great chef and a good friend of mine. Victor is one of the most underrated chefs in the Bay Area. His mediterranean food is fantastic! He always puts up a good quality service to his customers and has treated his employees well. For forward in 2025, I tried his quesabirria taco combo. As expected, it was really tasty! The service was excellent. This time, he introduced his wife who was working with him. The space is pretty big and was located near the Civic Center, Tenderloin and Downtown SF. Parking is very difficult but it's tolerable. So far, the experience is great. Overall, this place is fantastic as long as you find a good parking spot. Lastly, I'm really and proud of Victor for expanding his business. I wish him all the very best in life. God Bless this man!

Perfect spot for a quick lunch during the work week. Ample seating and bright lighting. I'm intrigued by the fusion of Mexican and Mediterranean food, but this place makes it make sense. Ordered the quesabirria tacos. Food came quickly and hot with two sauces + consommé, and a side of radishes. Service was super friendly. Looking forward to coming back and trying their Mediterranean menu.

fun fusion flavors. gyro quesadilla was pretty good. ordered online so can't speak to service though the one person behind the counter was nice and very busy tending to everyone's orders. it's a little stuffy inside and was about full on a monday

Food is decent not really marinated. Service is Quick. Birria Tacos were mid not the best. Good Seating options, just in a sketchy neighborhood.

I ordered the chicken Shawarma wrap... finished it cos I was hungry but not the best I've had. Mediterranean flavor/touch wasn't there, chicken was cold and didn't taste fresh. It's a "No" for me, I'll try something else on the menu next time. Overall I like the ambience of the restaurant and their service is great. I had a to go order which took only 10minutes.

Stopped by for some birria, and here's the breakdown: Birria with Consomé The consomé was refreshingly good--light yet flavorful. I would've loved a bit more spice to give it that extra kick. The meat, unfortunately, was a bit tough, but it was served with a friendly smile, and the wait time was super quick at around 5 minutes. Rice & Beans The rice had nice seasoning but was slightly hard. The beans were great, and I appreciated the cheese on top--a nice touch. Just a pinch more salt, and they'd be perfect. Quesabirria Not quite as flavorful as my last visit, but still enjoyable overall. I'd definitely come back for the friendly service and quick turnaround. A little refinement on the flavors and textures would make this spot even better!

The food is very good. I have the chicken kabob Plate. Chicken is the right texture and flavor. The bread is good. Price is decent. Definitely a new gem in the city.

The portions are big, and there is a huge variety of sides and spices to pair with your dishes. The service was 3/5. Unfortunately, not a single employee had a smile on their face, and it didn't feel very welcoming. The kebabs were made with chicken breast, but very tender and moist, and the side of hummus was fresh, creamy and delicious. We also tried the sangria which was great- not too sweet and decently strong (not watered down bad wine). For dessert, the lemon cake was tasty but odd that dried cranberries were sprinkled into the whipped cream. I appreciated the variety offered on the menu- not just typical Greek food you find everywhere else that touts "Mediterranean food". The service was super nice and efficient, and I like that it has been family owned and run (sadly an increasingly rare San Francisco characteristic these days)- you can tell the difference in the quality and thought put into the experience.

The Stuffed falafel was so good and huge 1 is enough for 2 people. The mosabaha was very refreshing and so good. The meat combo was good overall and everything was very herbally spiced, I wasn't impressed by the lamb tho but the kebab, hummus, and chicken were great! I haven't had Mousakhan before so not sure how it should taste but to me it was sweet and savory with really well cooked chicken. I honestly felt pretty healthy overall cause I was eating hella veggies and everything tasted so fresh. The kunafa was good we got it crispy and was yummy imo but was a lil oily (I think this is normal tho). Arab food isn't really spicy but it is spiced and very herbal which I felt in the food here, I appreciate that chili sauce is provided for the spice lovers. Overall, would highly recommend. It was about $100ish for everything and they recently increased their prices but tbh the portion sizes are huge and I feel like it is so worth it we had hella leftovers. My guy ordered this and thought it was average. 3/5 LAMB SHISH KEBAB WRAP ~ this was my dish. I ate one half of the wrap and it only held two cubes of lamb meat. The lettuce and tomatoes made the wrap bland. The meat was seasoned, but everything was plain, so it needed more seasoning. Honestly, this was missing flavor! I'll have to add something to it when I eat the rest of this wrap at home. 2.5/5 HALF ROASTED CHICKEN AND RICE ~ Our friend ordered this dish. It needed more sumac. This tasted like plain roasted chicken. Maybe it needs more seasoning while marinating. It wasn't dry, so that's a relief. Being married into a family that specializes in Mediterranean cuisine, I admit I'm a bit biased. The flavors here lean more Greek inspired, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but I found them to be a little too subtle for my personal taste. I tend to gravitate toward bolder Mediterranean flavors, so I wasn't extremely impressed by the food itself. That being said, I can absolutely understand why this restaurant is so popular. The dishes are approachable, balanced, and refined in a way that I think appeals to the American palate. The food is consistently good every visit. My favorite dish is the octopus, and I also love the biscuit platter from their selection of sweets. Everything tastes fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The restaurant itself is beautiful, although the seating near the entrance can feel a little cramped when it's busy. The vibe is formal casual, if that makes sense. New favorite Mediterranean place!…read more This is about a 15 min walk from where I live so I'll be coming here more often. Big fan of the portions at this restaurant. We ordered the combo plate which came with a lot of Pita bread, definitely enough to share among 4 people. Dishes came with a big helping of hummus too. I personally got the Kofte Kebab which filled me up. I had enough to bring home for lunch the next day. Getting a frozen yogurt at Easy Breezy is a must afterwards!!
