In principle, this is understandable, but in practice, the customer service felt very lacking. Typically nicer coffee shops that we have gone to have been more than happy to replace a drink if it was not what we expected. I understand their policy, but do think that they lost a chance to provide exceptional customer service, and thus lost us as customers. We won't be returning here, unfortunately.

went in today for the first time and tried the passion fruit matcha latte. the drink had a refreshing flavor but it only had a hint of matcha flavor. as an avid matcha drinker i'm used to my drinks being a bit more concentrated on the matcha. i went up to the counter after trying my drinks being to request an additional shot of matcha, i explained how i liked the drink but i couldn't really taste the matcha. the man at the counter began lecturing me about how they get their matcha from japan and other cafes don't have this quality matcha and i'm just probably not used to it. i explained to him that it doesn't taste bad but there's simply a very subtle matcha taste and to me that doesn't feel like a quality matcha latte even if you're using quality ceremonial grade matcha. he was very defensive over the whole thing and didn't want to accept my opinion which is fine but as a paying customer you can at least take my request into consideration. the barista behind the counter kindly told me he'll take care of it and took my drink to add more matcha. i think maybe they just need to work on their matcha concentration or add more matcha to the drink to give it a stronger flavor. it did taste better after they fixed it for me, but i will say the man at the counter was a bit intimidating and off putting for some reason and he was very defensive instead of just accepting my preference of wanting a stronger matcha taste. there are tons of places that pre make their matcha concentrate so that the drinks can be consistently strong all the time just in case this isn't a normal occurrence. the flavors should be balanced like their coffee latte, it can be flavored but you're still able to taste the coffee. overall it has a very cute vibe and atmosphere, i loved the decor as well. also the barista making the drink and woman who took our order initially were very kind and friendly. read more

Yesterday, while working in Irvine, I wanted to find a cozy spot to grab a coffee and something to eat before making the drive back home. That's when I came across Habibi's, and let me tell you, this place is an absolute gem. The moment you step inside, the atmosphere immediately sets the tone. The space is beautifully designed with warm elements of Middle Eastern charm. The service was just as impressive. Warm, kind, and genuinely helpful. The girl who took my order guided me toward the Orange Blossom Latte, which was fragrant, beautifully balanced, and the perfect amount of sweetness for me. I also ordered the Honey Pistachio Labneh Mana'eesh, and it was extraordinary: warm bread layered with creamy labneh, topped with crunchy pistachios, and a drizzle of golden honey. you haven't been to Habibi's yet, you're seriously missing out. This is hands down one of my favorite cafés in Orange County, and the kind of place I find myself craving over and over again. The sandwiches alone make it worth the trip, but being able to pair them with one of their specialty coffees or matchas makes it the perfect one-stop spot for lunch or brunch. Everything feels intentional, from the fresh ingredients to the unique Middle Eastern-inspired flavors. Whether you're grabbing a sandwich, mana'eesh, or trying one of their seasonal drinks, it's hard to go wrong. I had such a wonderful experience here! The drinks were absolutely amazing--full of flavor and crafted with care. You can really tell the baristas take pride in what they serve. A few of the tables have handwritten notes underneath clear glass. I noticed many heartfelt messages that sparked my imagination as to how the writers must've felt. I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere with chatter from local customers who seemed to know the owners well. We had also played a card game after eating, so this cafe is good for that as well. The owners were friendly and even took our plates and cups once we were finished. There's very limited parking right next to the cafe, so I had to make use of residential streets. However, it's worth making a trip here to try this coffeehouse. Also, It's interesting how they open early at 7 am per Google Maps. I usually don't see cafes opening that early, but this is a good tidbit of information for the future.

Parking can be a bit hectic because it is next to the Bristol Farms. Upon entering there is a few tables inside and it also has a nice patio seating area. You can order on the screen or over the counter, since it was our first time, we wanted to see if the staff would give any recommendations, we ordered over the counter . Staff was friendly but when we asked a few questions it was very hard to hear her when she was talking so we just ordered. We ended up ordering the chicken and waffles, Chicken Pesto Panini and a kids pancake plate. Visually the food looked fine, but once we took the first bites we came to the conclusion that all our food was severely under seasoned. The chicken that comes with the waffle are more like chicken tenders, crispy but flavorless. The arugula salad needed some love as it had 2-3 pieces of red onion and had little to no dressing. The waffle was good. The kids plate came with berries which was nice, but it came with the same bland chicken tender. The Chicken Panini had very little chicken. I did appreciate the fresh mozzarella but it needed seasoning. The Pesto was not very Pesto-ey if that makes sense. Our coffee drinks were fine, but for the price I think they could be more memorable. Overall 3 stars for a nice aesthetic and friendly people, but the food is lacking. Not sure if we will be coming back, but we gave it a try.
