Terrible experience, they got my order wrong and I tried to explain it to them that u got the buy one get one free on the uber app. I asked for the rest of my order otherwise I would like a refund. Instead of comping me with the free one, she decided to tell me im gonna have to order a new one and she can't just get me the free one. And so I did and Piola or Paola I don't know how to spell her name proceeded to tell me we're just going to throw this one away then. I was Fuming but I kept my composer while they made me wait another 40 minutes during dinner time to get my order to me. Why make me go through all of this and waste my time. I usually go to the habit on Blackstone near my work for lunch but today at stopped at this one near my home and was left disappointed. The chicken in my chicken ceaser salad was a total disappointment in the quality (minimal seasoning and char-grill) and usual quantity of chicken I get from the Blackstone location; and I was not provided the additional dressing that I was charged for. My Santa Barbara Char was cooked to perfection, but for the first time ever...this place was not clean. We were there about 6 PM on a Thursday night. There was food and trash on the floor and the tables weren't cleaned. I watched an employee pick up a few things off a table, but she didn't wipe the table off. I realized that none of the tables were wiped off after people left. I hope the kitchen is cleaner than the interior of this place. It'll be awhile before I think about returning. read more

I went in to the habit on Herron and Clovis Ave, it was busy, I made my order and 15 mins later I received my order, they had messed my order up, I asked if they could make me the right order, the lady behind the counter, told me it would be another 15 to 20 min wait, I asked for my money back on my order, she was rude and told me can I not see she is working, come to find out she was the assistant manage. she took my receipt had me sign it and told me I should expect my refund back in my account in a week. I have not received my money back, they took my 45 dollars, gave me no food, was rude, and when I went back in to find out were my refund was, they told me with out the original receipt they could not help me! I told them she took my receipt and had me sign the back of it, all they said was I should have held on to my original receipt And there is nothing they can do for me. Habit is my favorite lunch place: good service, and excellent burgers and onion rings.

Watched the girl preparing burgers in the back while I was in line; she pulled out a bunch of pickles out of its container and fell all over the prep board and put all those pickles on customer burgers instead of throwing them away. Not sanitary. On top of that, their AC must of died or something, cause it was hot and humid. Not going there anymore. The other Habit Burgers are way better. Went in today and bought two burger meals. The cashier asks do you want any sauces and I say yes 2 ranches, the cashier didn't seem to understand this request so my wife explains two ranch dressings. 36 dollars and 15 minutes later my order is ready. The ranch dressings weren't on the tray. I explain that I had ordered two ranch dressings and she shows me the order ticket which didn't show the ranch. She says they are 65 cents each, meaning I have to go back and wait in line due to their error to charge $1.30. I just stared at the individual. She eventually just gave me two servings of ranch that may have equated to 1/16th of a cup. A guy waiting for his order watching the entire situation says "brother they are giving you that much grief about ranch dressing? That crazy!" I show him my tray and say, "yah this is $36 according to them." I could have taken every single pepper out of the serve yourself area and refilled my drinks 10 times and thrown it all in the trash but ranch is sacred in this establishment. I don't think it's a franchise problem. It becomes an issue with the employees. Ranch cups are a pain to fill while pepper containers are easy and soda syrup boxes last a long time as well as co2. The employees started raising issues about ranch use and rules were changed. They stand almost steadfast behind this new policy because they took part in getting it implemented. The customer sees through this. I don't want to turn this into an in and out advertisement but they don't keep their condiments under lock and key even if their comdiments aren't as diverse. Worst location of this Franchise. The employees and Manager do not listen and constantly mess up orders. The last 5 times I was there every order has been messed up. I then had to return 3 times today because the manager and workers didn't know how to make a plain chicken sandwich. The last time I returned today the manager wanted to argue while I was on the phone making a complaint to the corporate office rather than fix the issue. So I'm total I wasted 2 hours trying to get a sandwich today and then she refused to remake it so I left. All I ordered was a plain chicken club. I've been to many Habits around Calif and like most chain restos you can pretty much rely on the food being the same. I've tried most things on the menu and everything has been very good except for one deep friend chicken thing I seemed to have received uncooked. Also, just okay is the veggie burger.
