Today: 06/24/2026 at 7:38PM I left the Habit on Herndon Avenue very uncomfortable. I came to order the Chicken Club a sandwich I never tried before and when I placed my order with the girl working the register at this time I asked her, "does the sandwich come on a sourdough bread?" She looked at me all confused and asked if I want extra sourdough bread and I told her, "no I just want to know if it comes on sourdough bread" and all she said was "okay" and carried out my order. Once my order was completed, the manager on duty (male) I believe I saw Hector on his name badge called my number and asked if I wanted sourdough bread. Again I just repeated what I wanted to verify and he said okay and gave me my cups to get my drinks. Look I may not look Mexican but I can perfectly 100% understand Spanish. As I was getting my drink with the manager and his crew member in front of me, the cook, the girl at the register, and the manager all started talking about me in Spanish while I am still in the store at the drink fountain. The manager stated in Spanish to the girl who took my order, "Aye that dumba** just wanted Sourdough bread, he was just giving you a hard f*cking time." Then the cooks states in Spanish, "Next time I'll give that f*cker and anyone else that wants to give us a hard time just bread and no meat." AS I AM STANDING RIGHT BEHIND THEM. And then they all continued to laugh. It's this type of behavior that just makes me not want to go into restaurants and place any order in person. I was not trying to give anyone a hard time, I have an allergy to certain ingredients in wheat bread and the only bread I can eat is SOURDOUGH BREAD. read more

We got the Classic Family CharBox this time and I'm impressed. It comes with 4 tasty cheeseburgers (that can be customized each), 4 sides (we got French fries, sweet potato fries, and onion rings), and 4 sauces (so many to choose from!) and it was such a satisfying meal for all of us. The fries and onion rings were nice and crispy, the cheeseburgers had great flavor, and each sauce was perfect. The teriyaki one went well with the sweet potato fries, the garlic sauce was even nice to dip the burger in, the bbq sauce was sweet and tangy, and ranch is good with everything. We had fun dipping our food in the different sauces and getting new flavor combinations from it. All of this food for $35 is awesome, especially the way it's packaged. It made it fun to eat. We ordered through DoorDash at the Habit Burger and Grill. We chose a cheese burger and sweet potato fries. We were a little disappointed because our food was a little cold. Also I asked for no mayonnaise. Yet when we ate our burger it was full of mayonnaise. Was The sweet potato fries were also cold. It was supposed to be a large order of the fries. Don't get me wrong, I was a fan of Habit's food but there's no way I'm coming back to this one. Last week I ordered a burger, no pickles, and they added a ton of pickles. Food at the Habit is always great, my issue was with service. I came in at 9:50 after not being able to order online & asked if it was too late to order (I know it's close to closing time & I did feel bad but hey, it doesn't close til 10). Instead of saying yes or no, the girl up front says with attitude 'well it's 8 minutes to closing'. So I can or can't order? She clearly wanted me to get out so she could just go home lol. I get it, whatever, but don't make up stuff about having a final call on orders just cause you want to go home. Another habit in town takes orders up until 10 which I'm guessing is corporate policy. *If she had just said 'I'm sorry it's too late to order', I would've totally understood. I got a coupon for a free double char burger.. Walked in and ordered, staff was friendly.. Got my food.. When I bit into it it was HARD AS A ROCK.. the bun was way overdone / super hard. I ripped chunks of the bun off just to make it edible. The meat was overdone and just the whole thing was bad.. I would and will never go here again. I don't know what changed but the staff just doesn't care anymore they're pumping out bad burgers and probably have no idea because they haven't eaten it themselves in years (my guess). read more

Great, fresh food! Went here with the family on a Friday night and enjoyed seating out on the patio. When you order at the front counter, you are given a pager, then it goes off when you are to go on back in and pick up your order. Everything we ordered was correct and came out fresh. We got a Teriyaki Char Burger, Impossible Char, Kids Chicken Bites, Kids Char Burger, Tempura Green Beans, Onion Rings, and Fries. Very cool that the kids' meals came with a drink, side (fries or apple sauce), and little gummy pack included. Tip: add avacado, grilled onions, and/or pineapple to sandwiches or burgers for kicked up flavors- may be an extra charge depending on the order, but totally worth it! I love the Habit as a great meal option for the family when you're not wanting fast food, but also not wanting a full, sit down restaurant with a server. Timing for food to come out, I feel, is that perfect sweet spot between all the options. For solo dining, a date, or the family, this place fits the bill! I absolutely LOVE The Habitat!! I'm vegan and so I appreciate that they have vegan options like their veggie burger and tempura green beans fries!! My family loves coming here and it's always a nice place to eat out. Their fries and tempura green beans are absolutely delicious and they are always fresh. 4/18/24 Getting lunch and I have 2 char coupons left. Thank you Habit so much for making up for an issue and proving what a great business you are! Greeted upon entering. The worker is new and still did a great job! Kind. Ordered a veggie burger with no sauce, cheese, onions & mushrooms added and an order of onion rings. Paid for it with the last of the Char tickets and only owed $1.40! Loaded up on jalapeños at the pepper bar and got ketchup. Then waited in the pick up area until it was ready and called. Great restaurant. Safe, clean & practiced. Great music playing too! Love the pepper bar! Got some fresh jalapeños to go in the veggie burger & spice it up! Also got ketchup! Came for lunch. We used the kiosk. It was easy to use. No line and was not busy. Plenty of parking and seats. Great music playing and clean tables. Food came fast and was hot and fresh. My husband ordered the #2 Double Char Burger Meal, I ordered a Char burger with cheese, onion rings and my son had the a cheeseburger kids meals with a cookies and cream shake. All delicious. They even have Craft drinks like hibiscus and strawberry limeade. They offer burgers, sandwiches, salads and different types of shakes. We have been coming here for years. We have always loved Habit because we used to live in Santa Barbara and knew it from the original. To be honest quality went a little downhill after the buyout, but right now they are having a "Grown-up" meal special where you can get a burger, small fries and a drink for $6. Went to habit burger today. Used the app for curbside pickup. I checked in through the app, it asked what car I was driving and color of vehicle. I ordered a double char and a char burger meal. I waited for my order past the time given on the app. No one came out, so I walked in and found my food getting cold in the bag sitting on the counter. Well I came here for a nice burger because the line for in-N-out was too long. I ordered online for the curbside pickup. I asked for my burger with no tomato or onions. Napkins. And paid extra for two ranches. The drink and fries were fine. But my burger came with tomato and onions which I asked to not have. I had ONE, singular napkin with grease marks on it. And no ranches. Which I then I had to go inside to get it. Which defeats the purpose of the entire curbside pickup. Should've just stuck to in-N-out. And the patty was tough. read more

Unfortunately we have tested the waters of this joint multiple times and found it to be... regularly inconsistent. We had an employee who was uninterested in our placing several orders post soccer tournament. I therefore overemphasized our orders so as to drill the modifications into his head. I was contemplating on leaving this review because I enjoy the habit, but I didn't like the way I treated. I dined in today around 5pm and it started when I asked one of the workers if whenever they had time if they can please clean off a table since it was pretty busy and the only table has ranch all over it it was done and I thanked the worker. I usually will not wait 25-30 minutes for burgers. But last night was so worth it! Melissa was training at the front. She was taking our order with a manager's help. I loved seeing that he was so patient with her and was still being friendly to her and me. The manager and Melissa were very nice. They were attentive and friendly. After ordering our food, we stood around waiting almost 30 minutes for our food. It looked like they had a full staff. There were maybe 3 or 4 people that ordered before us. I heard a few people complaining. Glad I had my phone to keep me entertained. After we got our food, we decided to take it home. Our drive was less than 10 minutes away. Everything was good except our fries were cold and soggy. My lettuce wrap burger was a bit too wet from the water on the lettuce. But flavor and everything was good in it. The green beans were a bit too oily for me. It seems like the oil didn't fully drain from the tempura green beans. The onion rings were still crispy and they were fire! This solace used to be decent but as of lately they are one of the worst Habit burgers in the area. I order half onion rings and half fries and it came with 3 onion rings and very few fries. This is continuous more recently. Whomever the management team is needs to be retrained by the Visalia store or the store on shields and Blackstone. read more

The reason this is a 3/5 is the one bright spark behind the counter. The young blonde lady in red shirt (Expediter) was AMAZING! She did everything and was working circles around everyone. She needs a promotion!!! Although she was busy, she was courteous and smiled and had great customer service! I wished I got her name. If everyone was like her, this would be a 5/5!
