5 Stars never seen a sushi place like Hachi the place has tables and a sushi bar the sushi looked really fresh. The interesting feature was upstairs they have booths with a shuffle board and foz ball plus arcade games plus 2 comfortable couches and TV. Sushi was Good too. Great service

Let me make this easy for you. Tell your friend, spouse, neighbor, dog, whatever to go grab their keys and you can read them this review on the way to the restaurant. This is so you don't waste any time. The Hachi sushi pub is in a building with other restaurants. I don't know what the hip kids call it these days but I would say it's like a grown-up indoor food court.( yeah I'm old and that's a reference. I'm gonna use, deal with it!) one of the great things about a situation like this is even though Hachi sushi pub had their own bar you could still get a drink from the full bar from the restaurant next to us. As long as you stay within the confines of the building and I believe outdoor patio, you can wander around with your beer, wine or cocktail. Our server gave a great recommendation for a meal. We both started off with miso soup that had amazing flavor. Sometimes you come across a miso soup that is basically just seaweed water with tofu. This was not the case. It had a real depth to it. We had the pork dumplings, which would've been great on their own, but they came with an aïoli that added an extra kick to them. My wife had the fried rice added chicken along with her Captain Morgan and Diet Coke from the full bar next-door. I had the special K roll that our wonderful wait person recommended along with a drink called the elk hunter. After a couple more of those elk hunters, I would've been in the hills hunting them by hand. We could've spent a lot more time here, but everything was closing up. I am sad. We were only went there once since we are leaving town. I would go back there in a heartbeat and highly recommend it.

I definitely recommend Hachi! It's absolutely adorable and the quality of the sushi is refreshing, as is the service. Loved the red lights!! Every single thing was just on point this evening. I can't wait to g

We had a fantastic experience at Hachi Sushi. The service was great, the restaurant was hip and clean and the sushi was amazing!!! I had a wonderful time our server was super sweet. The chef also came out to deliver our sushi giving us VIP vibes.

Great atmosphere! I wish they had some more arcade games.. I found the selection to be a little less than expected but still a great time!! Service is always great! The hatchi tots are a must for anyone who is dining here! Sushi rolls are great quality. I'm a little salty they took my favorite roll off their happy hour.. but I will continue to eat here! Try the Madison roll and the King Kong roll!

Special roll created by the chefs at Hachi on request. Wonderful!

Great menu options. Lots of sushi but also hot food. Service is great. The ambiance is outstanding. The game room upstairs has classic games and a shuffle board to keep you entertained. Seat at the bar if you want to learn more about the fish they are serving and order specialty sushi.

Everything was tasty and we'd go back. Had the calamari, pork ramen and the salmon/shrimp/rice combo. Kind of basics but all good.

We didn't realize Zocalo gets converted to the Japanese restaurant as well. Genius! We did t have a reservation but got seated right away. We had their specials, miso soup, 3 additional roles and the kiddo got mochi ice cream. Everything was delicious! The owner for both places were on point, impressed and enjoyed both. We didn't know we would be visiting the same place twice but so impressed by two different worlds being amazing on quality and execution on everything. Thanks for a great visit and we'll be back when we come back to Yosemite! Thanks for a memorable meal with my family.

I want to say before anything my review is going to be negative as I chose to leave the restaurant…read morewithout eating anything. I loved the ambience and the atmosphere my family even decided to get a reservation. When i pronounced I had a shellfish allergy I was told that everything had been cross contaminated and I couldn't eat there. I almost had to leave my family and uber home since the majority of my family can eat shellfish. I am a cook but I am no sushi chef I have done sushi while private cheffing. I do believe that there are certain steps you can take to prevent cross contamination and being able to store things properly in order to prevent contamination. I understand that when at sushi restaurants there's no helping fryers which is completely understandable. There is also a point I'd like to make how there should be some kind of sign outside or when making a reservation to pronounce on their end that they can't accommodate. At the end of the day I'm disappointed, I almost chose to leave my family, and we all ended up walking out without ordering since they can't accommodate to my allergy. I hope they take steps in the future to prevent cross contamination or pronounce they cannot accommodate to certain allergies before making a reservation.

This place is popular! Not sure if it's all locals or tourists or both, but they have a waitlist…read moreyou can get on virtually, so that's what we did. That said the wait was 7-9 minutes, which was our estimated drive time. However, when we arrived there was a line out the door and a gentleman taking names. I told him we were on the waitlist, which he verified, then he bumped us up in the queue. We probably ended up waiting another 10 minutes before being seated. We weren't super hungry, but we wanted to have something prior to our travels. I went with the crab cake Benedict, half order, with hash browns. My oldest got regular pancakes with hash browns. My youngest got the cinnamon roll pancakes. The pancakes are really good size. Both my girls enjoyed them very much. My youngest devoured the cinnamon roll pancakes before I could get a photo. She let me try them and they were really good. The hash browns were excellent! Love it when a place cooks them perfectly--when they are nice and crispy! They serve them with ketchup upon request too. The crab cake Benedict was very decadent and delicious! Loved that it was also served with some arugula--love arugula! The place is quite large and they have some really cool seating options. The restrooms are located very close to the kitchen. It almost looks like you're going down a hallway you aren't supposed to. A couple of the servers saw my hesitation and told me if I go into the kitchen, I've gone too far! Noted! It's got a really nice vibe to it! We would definitely come back!

It's okay for being the only easily accesible poke shop in town…read more I mean, we keep coming back so it's obviously not terrible but it's also extremely inconsistent. I actually held off on writing this review until our after our fourth visit to make a fair judgement. Yo Poke is a good option if you're looking for a quick and easy meal. The quality of the fish is on the mid-level of good and the ingredients are typically fresh. As for the store itself, it's kept very clean and there are a several tables and chairs if you choose to sit and eat. We've visited on a few occasions now and the staff has been friendly every single time. The biggest problem lies in consistency. On two out of four visits, we received poke bowls that were so sad looking with 6 or 7 little cubes of fish. On the other two visits, we were served a portion that looks like most other restaurants offer. (I've been BYO poke restaurants in several states). At this point, we watch the person building our bowls getting a tiny half scoop of protein, usually fish, or a full one. It's very interesting to me how the servings can come out so different even though they literally use the same scooper...just fill that tiny little thing up and let's call it a day. To be honest, a full scoop versus a half scoop usually determines a generous tip or a "this is just to be nice" one. The food itself is usually pretty tasty, no complaints on that front. Here is one of my favorite BYO combos: + Sushi Rice + Proteins: Tuna & Salmon + Mix-ins: White & Green Onions. + Sauces: Shoyu & Wasabi Mayo. + Sides: Edamame, Surimi Salad, Ginger & Avocado + Toppings: Sesame Oil, Tempura Flakes & Furikake If you try it, let me know what you think! Oh, one more thing! Don't try to order from GrubHub. I've tried to order delivery 3 times and my order was delayed by more than 2 hours every single time before it got canceled!

Yo Poke looks like a number of poke establishments--a nice counter that also serves as a make-table…read morefor the crew, a clear menu on the wall with items assorted by when you need to share them, and a few tables (high and low) for sitting and eating though it looks like most customers take out their food. The look is nothing special, but it does seem to be appropriate for this kind of restaurant. The food was remarkably medium. I would have liked to see some suggested poke bowls on the menu rather than leaving my bowl to my suggestions. The fish seemed pretty fresh, and the vegetables were crisp. While it wasn't bad, it didn't seem to rise to "good" either. I also had the miso soup, which was lukewarm and came from a machine (it looked like the hot chocolate machines that were once ubiquitous). It had no particular taste and featured lumps of tofu and a garnish of wakame. The soup wasn't even medium, and having it served in disposable bowls with plastic spoons made it less apealing. At $26, this meal wasn't worth it. Of course, the management has the payment device throwing on tip options so that you can tip a staff that looks inconvenienced by your presence and well before you taste the food (sorry, this is stupid tipping). This place needs some quality control on the food, better ideas for bowls, and a little bit of joy from the employees. An expensive downer.

This is another restaurant that would do well with a cocktail menu but they do have a good natural wine selection. We didn't partake but it looked pretty diverse and well selected. They provide a carafe of water on the table, which was good given the service. Service was a bit spotty and kind of slow. We didn't see our server much and the food was pretty slow to come out. However, they were extremely busy, so I can forgive it a bit. The menu was interesting and the food was pretty good when we got it. I will say there were hits and misses though. The hummus and sourdough pita was excellent. Fried delicata squash was so good, I made a roasted version for Thanksgiving. My husbands burger was excellent but the house made ketchup was borderline disgusting. It was cold, unflavored tomato sauce. Not so good. I got steak with pasta and my pasta was severely undercooked. I would have said something but our server was pretty unavailable. We didn't want to stay for dessert and I'm glad we didn't because the check took forever to get to us.
